That would be great, but I dont think Francisco Franco sir is going to support cancro officially.
Cuz first of all, he already maintains a TON of devices BY HIMSELF. And secondly, cancro isn't that famous or mainstream. I mean, I saw a guy commented on his post on G+ asking for FK for Moto G (a very common device) but he said, and I quote "NO".
But ThunderZap for Lollipop would be great though!

Cyodak?
It's too brutal cut.
My suggestion is Cyanodak.
The letter "o" connects both parts gently.
.
Anyway, in good taste would ask @iodak acceptance.
.
I don't understand. What are the benifits of this new Kernel version? If its better than official CM kernel, why don't you merge it directly?

There are some fundamental code changes that cant be in a mainline kernel.
And If not use them this kernel looses its essence.
Just what I've been looking for :victory:
@Demetris Working On Stock?
Becuase You Say This Is Anykernel.
Seems not because I got bootloop after installing on stock rom

I agree on Cyanodak. It sounds way more awesome!
Thanks for the Kernel. It's been while since we had an active kernel. I haven't tested it out yet, but I will very soon

Doesnt work on Zaiben 16, at least for me
I think this is only CM based roms not for stock ones maybe Demetris make one to work with stock based roms too

What's new in this kernel?
any chance we get stock-based version of the kernel, since i suppose it has some issues with anykernel installation on stock? thanks
Iodak had a separate package for stock. I have to contact him for some help on the matter as I never messed up with stock kernel (I don't use stock ROMs)
soo im just gonna break the ice here , whoever created this; thank you. but can someone please tell me the whats different from iodaks v10?
i mean it works good but i was still wondering
Ok, I've read just about enough ridiculous bickering.
I'm gonna clean the thread of the useless OT, and quoted posts.
I will remind "ALL" members, if you have an issue with a post or thread, then please use the RP function to contact a Moderator. Posting arguments doesn't do anything but cause the Mod Team to come in and clean up.
"IF" you believe any "Kanging" is going on, then by all means contact Moderation with all the proof ready so the situation can be assessed. Don't just go smacking off stating "copy and paste" blah blah blah...... without any evidence to back it up. All that does is cause arguments and wastes Mods time.
Any more of this bickering, and infractions will ensue.....
Thank You
MD
@raviboy100

I referred to the use of "odak" in the name, and not to use the source code.

What if i rename the kernel Cyodem?

[Q] Queries regarding custom kernels

Hello everyone
This is the first time Im creating a thread in all my years here on XDA. So please bear with me
Im very happy and excited to see the recent boom of custom roms for our device, its going really well and at a break neck speed.
Much rapid then I can download and flash it too
However, the only thing bugging me the lack of custom kernels.
I understand that the pINKman kernel by slukk and unnamed kernel by luca are both fantabulous kernels , and are mighty contenders for your time.
Dont get me wrong, I fully and whole-heartedly appreciate the kernel-devs and the awesome work made by them
The furnace kernel by savoca seemed to be a good one too, but I noticed that the thread has been closed and my recent pm to him about some possible update has not yielded any results.
I dont possibly know where im going with this conversation (lol), but if you catch my drift, we'd certainly want to see the boom of custom kernels just as we did with custom roms
Sorry for such a lengthy post .
*bows out*
:cyclops:
EDIT- lol, sorry for creating a thread in the general section, I botched it
Should have created in the QA section

Well, as long as Motorola doesn't release the kernel sources for lollipop, there isn't much that can be done. I found today some commits for lollipop but nothing official (look at Motorola's github kernel under issues). It took Motorola quite a while to release the sources for kitkat, so we have to keep patient.
need some OC and OV feature
@doppelhelix
Whelp
Thanks for clearing that up for me man.
Yeah it kinda sucks , I mean with the recent influx of so many roms and only 2 kernels was an eye-sore xD
Anys ways
*fingers crossed*
@doppelhelix
But on a second thought
How come slukk is developing and updating kernels even though the sources have not been released ??

Custom Kernels

When are we going to get the custom kernels for Mi3?
I heard @varun.chitre15 has been working on the ThunderZap Kernel for Mi3. Don't rush them, let the devs create their magic in their own pace

Thanks for this great news

Glad someone asked this question, considering how it started raining custom kernels and stuff for redmi, I was a bit worried seeing the low activity here and wondered whether the developers had abandoned this device
Well happy to know things are moving along
Happy to wait
Amazing, @varun.chitre15 has posted an update on Facebook about the progress of ThunderZap kernel on Mi3, and it seems to have come to a success!

Hope he make one for lollipop too
Nice beginning ..... Hope that CPU temperature will be less as the kernel build progresses...

You may have to wait until atleast the second week of april as the kernel is very buggy and many of the devs are working on it..

New kenel work

Hey guys. Flied off to this zuk from old oneplus one... But sad to say it lacks a dozens of kernel features and limits a lot being a new young bro of the old oneplus one.. So I am planning up to build a kernel here. And have even started my work.. I have came from the basics and now am able to compile kernel commit changes. Make some new and so on... If anyone is interested please pm me. We may get in coordination and can form a kernel organization... Not just features but we will need to work out on lots of optimizations... These will surely make us to neck with all the msm8974 devices.. Pm me those who are interested. You all can see my git @Andy1911 and my oneplus kernels... Thanks
Regards
Andy
Nice to see you here mate, actually i was the only one working on kernels for this device,nice to have more developers involved in that matter, i saw you picked some of my commits, good!! We can help each other to make this device stronger. Cheers!!

@acuicultor
New buddy
Yeah I wish... I have started my work... And will start implementing changes soon.. I won't work much on the bugs section.. But surely will make the kernel at the level of others.. And also some caf stuff from @Sultanxda? He is the real master of msm8974... Mind blowing work for oneplus one... I think so firstly we should compare the lacking stuff from the kernel here with the kernel of OPo and nexus 5.. Then we will go ahead for features..

Lambda Kernel for OP 3T?

Hi Devs,
Could someone possibly build/cherry pick from Lambda Kernel?
https://forum.xda-developers.com/le-max-2/development/lambda-kernel-reborn-le-max2-t3767401
The dev is from the PA team.
Whats so special about this kernel?
Theres a lot of kernels for OP3(T) already.
@dianlujitao , @HolyAngel , @nvertigo67 , @xyyx , @TheCrazyLex , @MSF Jarvis
Not sure if you devs already know about it but just tagging you guys if it's of any help in our device's kernel
Thanks!
