Is it better to buy the Nexus 6 from T-mobile or Google Playstore?
Any advantage or disadvantage?
Thanks.

T-Mobile does sell the 64GB version. I purchased one through them.
If you want to pay for the whole phone all at once (or want a white Nexus 6), go through Google. If not, go through T-Mobile. It will be carrier locked until it's payed off.

This may be, but the images provided by Google will work with T-Mobile. Not sure what will happen when (*if) T-Mobile gives us Wifi calling..

Are you 100%? So you're saying I can flash 5.1 image from U.S.A. Playstore version on my T-Mobile version? That doesn't sound right.

Yep. Basically the only difference is the radio. The T-Mobile version uses 95R. The others use 98R. You can flash whichever radio, one may work better than the other for you.

This is slightly incorrect. The only build that has the 98 radio is LMY47E. This is the build that was pre-installed on models purchased directly from Verizon. All other builds have the 95 radio at the moment.

only E uses 98r, all the others use the 95r radio.

Ordered model D5833 without doing much research, and from further reading seems like I should've ordered the D5803 instead?
Would the D5833 works fine in the US (AT&T to be exact)?
Thanks.

You should have ordered the D5803. If I were you, I would cancel my order ASAP, and order the other one.
Just got off the phone with AT&T and unable to get LTE, D5803 model

That has to do with the IMEI attached to your sim card. Go into an AT&T store and tell them it needs to have the IMEI of an LTE device.
I did it over the phone, all set. I used my previous IMEI and that worked.

Glad to hear it! Yeah, when I went to the AT&T store to get my nano SIM, I told them to leave the IMEI as it was. (previous device was an AT&T Galaxy S4)
Got this one sorted out and I should be getting the D5803 instead.

So wait LTE for AT&T will not work for the d5833? It only works with the 803?

So LTE on AT&T doesn't work with the d5833?
What's the difference between the unlocked and T-Mobile Nexus 6? Do they have the same bands? Does the T-Mobile model receive updates at the same time as the unlocked model?
The only difference is where to choose to buy it from.
They are identical. The T-Mobile-sold phones are unlocked as well.
No difference. period.
I've TMobile Nexus 6
Only difference is that T Mobile includes a TMo Nano SIM in the sim tray.

It depends where "overseas".
If it's in the Americas, then the T-Mobile version XT1103 is just fine.
If it's in other continents you may want to consider the global version XT1100 due to the different LTE bands.
You can see the details about the LTE bands supported by each model here: http://www.motorola.com/us/consumers/nexus-6-header/Nexus-6/nexus-6-motorola-us.html#nexus-6-specs

The Nexus 6 is the same on all carriers. The only noticeable difference is the AT&T variant is Sim locked to AT&T. The only difference in Nexus 6 devices is the domestic and international models.

The only real difference is that the Verizon branded N6's IMEI is whitelisted on their (VZW) system. Means that you can get a SIM from them without problem, and that you will get your BYOD discount on Edge (if you pay full price).

You can use it in Turkey, but most likely you will not be able to connect to LTE. The US carriers use different bands for LTE vs the rest of the world. I'd suggest that you would be better off with the 1100 "world" model.
Edit: but the 1100 won't connect to LTE in the US. So you will have to decide where LTE service is most important. US or the rest of the world. Unfortunately, you can't have both.

I'm afraid I can't answer that, as I am in the USA. I would suggest you ask your cellular provider first. I would say that you would most likely need the international model as it has the hardware needed for the signals used in that market. XT1100 is the model number.

You will be able to get voice + SMS from all of the major carriers as well as 3G data. No LTE from any of them as US carriers use different bands than the rest of the world (and your phone isn't equipped with the radio for US carrier LTE bands.)

I have read several threads already and was pretty sure any of them would work but came across a couple posts saying Tmobile and AT&T versions were giving people problems.
I am looking to buy one off Swappa but most of the available phones are with carriers other than Sprint.
I know all US Note 8s have identical hardware so can I purchase any carrier version Note 8, unlock it, flash Sprint rom and be good to go?
Thanks for any help.

It is still better to buy the version you intend to service with...unlocked if you want better resale and better switching...but if you get a better deal...any carrier can be switched...the IEMI just has to be added to carrier for all functions, in some cases...and that's where the issues arise...not all techs will do it...Sprint is the most lenient...

Check the device's specs to make sure it uses the same bands as Sprint
If it dont then no cause LTE or 3g may not work properly
Most "GSM" phones dont pick sprint up to well
