You will be able to get voice + SMS from all of the major carriers as well as 3G data. No LTE from any of them as US carriers use different bands than the rest of the world (and your phone isn't equipped with the radio for US carrier LTE bands.)

I know this is off topic. But just out of curiosity, are you using an XT1100 in the UK?

[Q] TMobile or AT&T (No US)

Hello,
I did some research recently, and this caused a little bit of confusion, so I'll post a quick question:
I'm trying to buy this phone on ebay (since I don't have a US CC card), which one should I get, the T-Mobile or AT&T version?
Requirements:
- to unlock it for Europe GSM
- install CyanogenMod
As of now I was going for the T-Mobile, since I've read it's easier to unlock the bootloader, but now I see that the CM is only for AT&T phones? Or am I mistaking?
Thanks!
It doesn't matter any more. When you purchase from the Moto web site you ask for the GSM version. There is no more differentiation between the T-Mo and AT&T versions. You'll get the XT1053, the former T-Mo version.

Are you sure about this? Cause if you look it up, everyone is saying that the T-Mobile bootloader can be unlocked, and the AT&T can not.

Yes, me. I bought a T-Mobile Moto X in November and had to choose my carrier. I bought another Moto X last week and there was no carrier selection, I only had to choose between GSM and CDMA. Both times I received an XT1053 with a T-Mobile SIM in it.

I have no knowledge of the bootloader situation, only my experience with the purchases as noted above.

As far as AT&T bootloader goes it is still not unlockable. When it will be? Nobody really knows if Motorola is going to add it to its Unlock program.

Appears they still technically differentiate between the versions, but are upfront about the T-Mobile version working with either carrier.

Yes, it does. Looks as if they changed it again. I didn't get that selection panel when I bought one a week ago. I guess you can still get the XT1058 model for AT&T. However, if I were buying one I'm not sure why I would order the AT&T model over the GSM model based on the description. I would get the XT1053 anyway.

Maybe they were temporarily sold out of the AT&T model? There is some LTE band on the AT&T model not available on the XT1053, but if I remember that band isn't used currently by AT&T in the USA anyways. People might also want all that wonderful added value bloatware software not on the XT1053 and have the inconvenience safety of a locked SIM.

Supposing I can get the SIM unlocked, it should be a go in getting it on VZW then? I'm trying to quantify the risk I'll face in not being able to get it activated on my VZ account

Are you able to wait 1-3 business days? If not, I can refund your order instead. Thank you

T-Mobile does sell the 64GB version. I purchased one through them.
If you want to pay for the whole phone all at once (or want a white Nexus 6), go through Google. If not, go through T-Mobile. It will be carrier locked until it's payed off.

Yep. Basically the only difference is the radio. The T-Mobile version uses 95R. The others use 98R. You can flash whichever radio, one may work better than the other for you.

This is slightly incorrect. The only build that has the 98 radio is LMY47E. This is the build that was pre-installed on models purchased directly from Verizon. All other builds have the 95 radio at the moment.

The Nexus 6 is the same on all carriers. The only noticeable difference is the AT&T variant is Sim locked to AT&T. The only difference in Nexus 6 devices is the domestic and international models.

The only real difference is that the Verizon branded N6's IMEI is whitelisted on their (VZW) system. Means that you can get a SIM from them without problem, and that you will get your BYOD discount on Edge (if you pay full price).

You can use it in Turkey, but most likely you will not be able to connect to LTE. The US carriers use different bands for LTE vs the rest of the world. I'd suggest that you would be better off with the 1100 "world" model.
Edit: but the 1100 won't connect to LTE in the US. So you will have to decide where LTE service is most important. US or the rest of the world. Unfortunately, you can't have both.

I'm afraid I can't answer that, as I am in the USA. I would suggest you ask your cellular provider first. I would say that you would most likely need the international model as it has the hardware needed for the signals used in that market. XT1100 is the model number.

My brother and parents have been asking me this also. Before the 6T OnePlus was missing band 13 to be fully functional on Verizon, so the answer was no.
The answer is now yes, the 6T will have the necessary LTE bands to function on Verizon. It wouldn't have been certified by them as a BYOD otherwise.
Looks like the 6T also has CDMA bands 0 and 1, so should support legacy 3G connections for Verizon as well!

Does Verizon wifi calling work?
Not working for me. Just phone calls. Sms is broke, and vzw can't add the imei to database. They say its incompatible.
I got a tier 2 tech person who turned of CDMA_LESS provisioning and turned it back on. Rebooted phone and all works as it should. Got great LTE speeds as well. I have not found any Wifi calling settings.
