Hello,
I just upgraded from a Galaxy S3 to a Nexus 6 yesterday. Loving it!
It's running 5.1 out of the box, but how do I know I have the latest firmware / radio / bootloader, etc?
Here's what I'm seeing:
SETTINGS:
Nexus 6
5.1
LMY470
MM9625_104446.01.02.98R
BOOTLOADER
moto-apq8084-71.08
D4.0-9625-02.98
Thanks!

If it was purchased directly from Verizon, you have the latest firmware release. This is the first time I have seen LMY47O on an N6 though. That's more recent than anything else reported here.
Carrier Specific Images?
If it is factory fresh and purchased from Verizon directly, kind of negates the theory that the "E" image was Verizon specific. Makes me wonder about the other supposed carrier specific images.
I purchased directly from a VZW store and then flashed Euphoria and Franco Kernel.

It seems like we're receiving another version of the Android Lollipop . This version is 22.11.6 and the current version is the 22.11.5
Here's the realease notes . It's the same but now the version number has changed . Look at this . https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/answers/prod_answer_detail/a_id/102640
If anybody receives this version and upload it , I'll be glad. I have the Brazilian Version of Moto X 2014, but I got the Lollipop with the OTA for the XT1095 flashing the TMO Kitkat, the ATT modem, and installing from the recovery.
I'll wait for this.
So let's see if I got it right
Did you managed to flash the 22.11.16 Lollipop on a XT1097?

I have an unlocked Phone running on VZW. Should I expect that at some point I will get VoLTE.....or should I just return it while I can and get a VZW version?

Did that a month ago. Waiting for the update 5.1 to be able to use it

Running stock 5.1 now on motorola-purchased phone. My VZW account is provisioned for "advanced calling" but not seeing it function on the phone at this point. I know my Droid Turbo was pushed a VZW update when VoLTE was available. I assume that is not supposed to be the process on a N6.

Try following the instructions in these threads. I have it currently working on 5.1

Also the VoLTE feature only works for Verizon to Verizon calling and with other phones that have the feature. The best part of the update is the simultaneous Voice/Data capabilities.
I have a Nexus 6 that I purchased directly from Motorola and have running on Verizon's network. I have not yet received the Android 5.1 OTA update. Shouldn't I have received it by now? If not, when should I expect it?
No offense intended, but let's answer this question - What version of android SHIPS on Verizon issued Nexus 6's ?
They have no need of an OTA. It comes with LMY47E installed. (if you want a higher build, or 5.1 in general, see below)
You'll have to flash a 5.1 image for it.
Alternatively, you could also try the no SIM installed boot up after a factory reset and see if it gets it from Google.
Probably Never
For some background see the following post. You will be very interested in the Android Police article.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/help/ota-requires-carrier-approval-t3067283
Hope this helps ....
Unless you want to do the get on wifi and pull the SIM card dance (after you factory flash) you might want to read up on doing it manually yourself.
I recommend using the Nexus toolkit to retain your user data and moving to any version Google has available.
I suppose it couldn't hurt to pull the Verizon SIM, get on wifi, reboot your phone and see what happens.

I'm wondering which version of 5.1 I should be grabbing. I think I'm going to do the side-load instead of pulling my SIM to get it to update to build D. Will build D have the HD voice feature?
What do you guys recommend?
The only thing that's important is the 98R baseband radio I believe that comes with D and E. once you have that you can flip to any system version after D you would like. I am currently running version i on Benzo and HD voice works fine.

Is the stock recovery from the pure edition universal between variants?
I have the XT1093 from U.S. Cellular & I want to flash the stock recovery for my current version of Android (5.0.2). This is so I can OTA to 5.1. The firmware files for 5.0.2 I have found for my variant have odd files that I do not recognize & I do not see a recovery img among them.

Here is the full firmware for your device. It will have the recovery inside:

Thanks. I downloaded that file before I posted op. I do not see a recovery img in it. I am still wanting to know if I can use the pure edition stock recovery for my XT1093 variant.
EDIT: File works

Has anyone else had the issue of people not receiving your texts and/or receiving them out of order? I've been having this issue for awhile and tried updating radios too. I'm running AOSiP 9.1 with hellscore kernel b9-mako on my nexus 6. Today I had Verizon give me a new Sim card and so far all seems good but I'm curious if anyone else had this issue. I might try a new kernel and see if that helps at all.

Anyone have any advice? I'm now on pure nexus rom and still having this issue.

Nope no issues w/ VZW, I've used every Rom/kernel/radio/bootloader out there. What radio/BL you on?

Here's a screenshot of my phone settings. Things have been good today after I switched to Elite rom, maybe it was just hellscore kernel and/or AOSiP
