Please HELP Me..
i just want to install my stock rom with odin3..
but FAIL..!!
and my phone can't boot to home screen..
and i get this "firmware upgrade encountered an issue please select recovery mode in kies and try again"
you could try flashing with odin 1.85.
just make sure that the firmware you about to flash is meant for the device
Make sure "Re-Partition" is unchecked in Odin .
Also , be sure to use an S6500 / S6500D firmware (depending on which model you have) . S6500D firmwares don't work on S6500 and vice versa .
Hi all,
Yesterday I downgraded my Jellybean to Gingerbread firmware by using this tutorial: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2100642.
The downgrade was a succes, everything worked fine.
The final step of the tutorial siad: 'Note : You can flash Latest Update for your Country by Odin3 v3.07 ( Optional )'. So I searched for the stock firmware of my country and used Odin v3.07 to update. Now at this point the upgrade failed (NAND Write Start) and I get the 'yellow triangle' sign with the message: Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies & try again.
I can't get in download or recovery mode.
Odin still connects to my phone.
My question is how can I get my Android back to work :s
Thanks in advance,

2nd was: JW1_JV5_JVT.tar
I reasearched it,and I think it was for the GT-I9000, so I made a hard missmatch.
Is there a way so solve it? :s

Your phone is probably hardbricked. Try to go to service centre.

If the installation stops at factoryfs.img in Odin then you own a bricked device.
Solution: replace mainboard in Samsung Service Center
Workaround: search for hg42 and his repartition trick (loosing memory). This is not a solution but read the thread yourself.
Yep. Thanks samsuck.

You can flash Philz kernel using Odin and then get onto cwm recovery and then format system partition and then flash a custom rom and check if it works.
I have a problem with my Galaxy Gear. It's crashed in an attempt to flash it via Odin, and now, on power up, it tells me "Firmware upgrade encountered an issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again.", but connecting it to the pc is absolutely not detected by Kies. How should I proceed? Thanks in advance...

Hi ... Try to follow some of the following tutorial. Supposedly downgrade is the best solution. Do not forget to check the "repartition" when did it to GB.
To 8GB & To 16GB Hope can help.
If you still have trouble. Try asking two seniors: @R_a_z_v_a_n & @shut_down

I read and do step by step on tutorial but the problem continues
Are you still able to enter Recovery mode (the default)? But first try to remove the external memory card is yours. Then try enter recovery mode. If successful, try to do wipe all through recovery. Then try to flash the stock rom. Good luck.

I don't have sd card, and I remove sim card. I put on download mode but only method downgrade GB freezes on ''flash kernel'', when I try flash another kernel GB odin fails ( on version 3.10 odin, I use to apply downgrade on odin 1.85). I flash italy firmware 4.1.2 and take a long time to finish (16,02- 20 min) and no results, the message and problem continues.
I see some coments about this issue. Some people says is problem with partition and needs full firmware (Phone,CSC,PDA,Bootloader etc) I try search for full firmware for S advance but only full firmware I saw is GB (process downgrade) and get no progress with this method. I need full firmware based JB,maybe can works. Please someone send me full firmware based JB please.

which bootloader do you have ? 4.1.2 recovery/bootloder or 2.3 one ?
(2.3 one use home button for enter command while 4.1.2 one use power button for enter command...2.3 one is orange in recover while 4.1.2 one is blue )
you can get full firmwere here... http://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/database/GT-I9070/INU/ (you can change country )
if you have 4.1.2 bootloader then download 4.1.2 firmwere form above site and flash it with your PIT file ( if you have 16Gb mode use 16Gb pit file directly ) put firmware in PDA section.
if you have 2.3 boot loader use 2.3 firmwere from above site and follow the same ( if it has only one file )
