Flash official HTC RUU back on your phone
I have exactly the same problem...
I tried formatting the nand flash, seems to work.
(Vol down + enter + reset, then vol down)
(Note that you will loose all data on internal storage, too...)
Hello,
i have rooted my phone without problems. then i flashed a custom rom (cyanogen mod 10.1) yesterday.
i had many problems and wanted to flash the original stock rom back. but it doesn't work anymore. My phone freezes at boot and there is just this "cyanogen circle" and nothing happens.
i tried hard reset when pushing volume down + power, but nothing works.
When i try to connect my phone with my computer => nothing happens...
i don't know which mode i have to use, when connect with computer. Do i have to push volume down + power first, or just try to turn on the phone (which is actually not working) or something else?
i'm really frustrated
i just want a clear Stock ROM...
please help me :crying:
PS: Sry for my bad english, but i think this is the best forum to post my question

Hello guys, I'm extremely sad. I've tried to install a kernel in my Galaxy Ace GT-S5830B (sorry, i'm Brazilian and this is the model) to install a custom Rom, MIUI. After trying to do it, on my screen appeared that the process had finished. So I've pushed the Home button to restart the smartphone. Then the screen doesn't turn on. When I press the recovery's buttons and downloading mode buttons nothing happens.
Is there anything I can do to get my phone back?
Could you help me please?
(Sorry for the English, as I've told I'm Brazilian and I don't write/speak english very well)

I was using this rom: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1604543
Then I've tried to install this rom http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2408748 without installing the kernel that the instructions says to install.
After I've installed, Galaxy Ace got into a infinite Loop. So I've downloaded the kernel mentioned at the instructions and I've installed by the Clockworkmod. After doing it I've stayed this way (as I've mentioned at the first post) until now.

CWM 6 is not stable and you can't install anything other than KitKat roms with them. So the first thing you need to do is flash your stock rom back using odin. Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares and drivers (go to the "Preparation" section),
Flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 using odin
Once installed, go to recoverymod and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace,
How To Root and Unroot Samsung Galaxy Ace?
CWM 5.0.2.6 fix for Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830
If you are still interested in installing Kit Kat rom, then you can use the Kit Kat for all by @Salim El Yabouri which can be flashed from CWM 5. Here is the link,

Hope I Helped

Wrong device thread buddy. This is Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 Q/A
Fix
My friends ace (S5830), was stuck at samsung logo after flashing a 4.4 ROM, It was able to enter
1. Recovery Mode
2. Download Mode
3. Other mode, which I do not know what its called (Accessed by pressing volume up + volume down + home button + power button)
I tried to flash it in Odin but it gets stuck at SetupConnection, so I tried to flash it with This, but unfortunately, after this, it led to black screen only, no download mode, no recovery mode, only the unknown mode (Accessed via all button press, the third method I have said), which I know that it is working because my laptop detects it. I just wanna ask if it is STILL Fixable by using Odin, Haimdell, or other software (only) available online or will it be only fixed by sending it to Repair Centers, TIA!

You usually get the "setup connection" error when you are in the Emergency Download Mode instead of Download Mode. You go to Emergency Download Mode by holding down Volume Up + Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button in which it loads a screen that says "Emergency Download Mode" and you go to Download mode by holding down Volume Down + Home Button + Power Button in which it does load the correct download screen with the yellowish message that say "Downloading…". Please make sure you are going to the Download Mode. Then you installed a rom which was not meant for our device, thus bricking it in the process. The rom was designed for Galaxy Ace S5830i and not for our Galaxy Ace S5830. You have basically hard-bricked you phone and that's why you get the black with no mode accessible. So far none of the hard-bricked users were even able to solve this problem with USB Jig. Better go to Service Center. Here is the link to similar situation,

Move it to /data partition or try to dlete all your Play Store's data and uninstall all the updates and then open it again or reflash the gapps again

Android Version 2.2.1,
Baseband Version: S5830DDKC1
Kernel Version:2.6.32.9-perf
[email protected]#1

The issue is I am unable to get into Download Mode, by pressing <Volume Up & Down botton> and <Power Button> for Upgrading to newer version.
When I tried to get into recovery mode, by pressing <home> & <POWER> button simultaneously, I Could not get the usual recovery mode , but, I get the following:
"
Android System Recovery <3e>
Samsung Recovery Utils
- for BML -
reboot system now
apply sdcard.update.zip
wipe data/factory reset
wipe cache partition
-------------------------------------
# MANUAL MODE#
--Appling Muti-CSC --
multicsc : src /system/csc/INU/system "
At last I found the correct forum to at least express my problem!! You guys are doing a great Job.:good:
I have already wiped my phone with the above option, (wipe data/factory reset). I just want upgrade to KITKAT, since it is available.
PLEASE HELP ME. AS I HAVE BEEN STRUGGLING TO SUCCEED.

For starter's, the key combination for Download Mode in Ace is Vol Down+ Home+ Power Button and not Vol Up+ Vol Down+ Power button. Here is the link on how to install stock rom using odin along with all firmwares and drivers (check the "Preparations" section),
Flash stock rom on Samsung Galaxy Ace S5830 using odin
If your PC cannot recognize the phone, its usually the drivers. Once installed, go to recovery mode and do a wipe data/ factory reset & wipe cache (otherwise bootloop might occur). Then restart. Now you have successfully flashed the stock rom. Here is the link for rooting and installing CWM 5 on Samsung Galaxy Ace,

If you are interested in installing the CM 11 KitKat rom, then you can try KitKat for all by @Salim El Yabouri which can be installed from CWM 5. While all other KitKat rom requires you to have CWM 6 which is kinda unstable. Here is the link,

1) try to get in recovery and make factory reset (hint: go to download mode, then reset device and as quickly as possible press vol up + vol down + home to enter recovery)
2) I'm not responsible for any mods which I didn't tested on my build, so that D2Y Indonesian guy maybe didn't tried it out properly or you had some other mod which maybe make problems
3) I was testing back in days some mods but barely oworks just because it had older base for ROM (builds prior August 2014 most of time) and if I made it to work on latest CM11 then I had some problems with SystemUI and FC's

also note: if you get in bootloop after flashing mods - do a factory reset from recovery.... it helps a lot.
