skype over 3g

I thought skype was not supposed to work on 3g? It is on the xoom thought, I have made and received calls today using it!

Is there a Skype AP?

I just got it off the market

the regular skype app doesn't allow calling over 3g in the US, but the verizon specific one does. The xoom is a verizon device so.. there you go
It's kind of depressing that I know that, being a canadian...

The verizon app is skype mobile... This is just skype...

works great on my xoom.

There is only calling right now, no video right? I imagine it won't be long until video will be available.

Does it say NOT COMPATIBLE!!!!! or not compatible? Your response reads like a loud and angry comment/observation on your behalf.

Use Fring. Its free video chat. Gtalk does as well. I believe both can be used over 3g, 4g or wifi. Skype sucks.

The problem is getting all your friends so switch! Also Fring has no pc client & with gtalk you can't voice/video chat with other smartphones.

Google talk to work with xoom wifi

Does anyone have Google talk working on Motorola xoom wifi only working? I can't get the app the market.

download a xoom rom and pull the talk app from system/app, then use adb or root explorer to put in your current system/app folder.
u may also need to change permissions.

Isnt the Talk app already on your rom? thought it was standard with all androids.

should already be installed. It will be "Talk" not "Google Talk" or "GTalk".

Google Talk works great on the wifi version!

Why don't people atleast TRY to find something before actually posting for help.
Obviously you would try to maybe type in "call recorder" or something in the play store?

How to record calls on moto G 2014 (XT1068)?

I am having stock rooted ROM. I have tried many apps but still only my own voice is getting recorded but not the other ends voice. Can anyone suggest me a way to make call recording work on our phones...

Use an app called AUTOMATIC CALL RECORDER from play store. It works perfectly.

Not sure why, but i am also from India. Xt1068 model and works for me. Both sides. Is it that the app icon is red background with green phone logo?

Yes it is the same.. But for me it is recording only one side... Are you using any custom ROM ?

I don't know, But i cant find unknown source.and i can't use quick shortcut maker .Im unable to create a shortcut icon ( IMS Setting).

Ims settings are blocked and no video on lockscreen is what I've noticed so far

I just went into Galaxy Apps/My Apps/Update and it was in the list to be updated. Now I have the Visual Voicemail app in my app drawer and it works great. I never had it before and always needed to use YouMail.

no, it wont. Is a major update so a lot of people recommend to perform a factory reset after the update, but is up to you.

The samsung built in caller ID and spam
Samsung Cloud
I am wondering if you have the XAA carrier or if you have the actual VZW CSC.
