use SkyGo from pc and Sending a Signal Chromecasts - Google Chromecast

Hello
I'm registered to Sky Go and I bought Chromecast .
The problem is that the latest version of Chrome does not support Silverlight so I can't send the video to Chromecast .
I tried different solution without success :
1 ) I installed portable CHROME ( version + old ) always says that Silverlight is not installed
2 ) I tried to install one extension of Chrome that virtualizes Internet Explorer : Sky go crashes at login
3 ) I tried OPERA and I installed the extension of Chrome ( GOOGLE CAST ) : the extension is installed but I do not see the device when I click on the small screen on the top right
4) I have enabled NPAPI but always says that the latest version of Chrome does not support Silverlight ( chrome: // flags / # enable- NPAPI )
Do not tell me to use the phone because it crashed ....

Webserver and Kaiser

I would like to do on my Kaiser what I can do on the PC:
I go inti the Internet Explorer and add a special TCPIP address and then I can see my Web camera - when I do this on the KAISER I don`t see the life pic !
Any explanations or help from the great community ?
thaks
myrin
May I ask the other way round - How co I get access to the camera in my network ????
Maybe your webcamera uses a speciel active-x component, that your Kaiser doesn't recognise... Or flash...
Yes I can choose between active x and Java ...on the PC
Activex or Java is not supported.
On your desktop, you can try to view the properties of the stream (e.g. mms://ip: port or http://ip: port/camimg.jpg) and try to open it directly on your device.
The best solution I found sofar for viewing ipcameras/webcameras on my tytn2 is webcamxp (http://www.webcamxp.com/).
They have a nice pocketpc/smartphone interface.
It works very well if you install the adobe flash plugin (http://www.adobe.com/products/flashplayer_pocketpc/) on your device.
I read about the flash player - could describe me what the use of it will be ?
In addition to activex and java, webcampxp has the possibility to broadcast in flash. Use the flash plugin to display the live stream in PIE.
The flash player plays flash files (as the name indicates).
Obviously webcamxp converts your webcam pics into flash format, which you can view with flash player.
Thanks a lot for your kind help ....I installed now the flash player but when I go into the IE and add the TCPI adress of the camera (http://....) there is still no change - I see nothing ???
Can I see with the flash player the live pics ???
It will most likely not work with your current webserver software/hardware as you said it is only capable of activex and java broadcasting.
webcamxp is just another webserver software solution which runs on your desktop. It supports most ipcameras. In combination with the flash plugin you are able to view your ipcameras on your tytn
So for all other programms it will not be of help ? only in conjunction with webcampyx ??

Another alternative is viewcommander mobile (http://www.ivimg.com/products/vcmobile.htm). With this application installed on your device you can connect directly to your ipvideoserver. No use of PIE.
I couldn't however view a live camstream over a gprs/umts connection. Viewing with a wlan connection worked fine.
With this software it works !!! thanks so much for this advice ...
Hi Peter, as your question is now answered I thought it would be ok to hijack the thread. Could I ask what software you are using to host your webcam on your server?
I would like to do the same with my logitech quickcam and windows home server.
One camera is from axis the other from trust - both have there special software.

Accessing Youtube Mobile

I'm trying to get back to the point where I could access Youtube Mobile and I can't.
A little while after I got my Kaiser (Feb 08), I changed some setting to send me to the regular Youtube site rather than Youtube Mobile and give me the option to watch or save the movie. I can't remember at all what the settings were. I've since flashed the rom on my phone multiple times and the settings are still that way. The Save on the setting is unreliable, and whenever I try to watch it tells me to get the latest Flash player (which I've downloaded and installed repeatedly).
I just want to be able to watch Youtube vids every now and then. Help?
Solution
1) Install HTC Streaming Media
and go 2 youtube in pocket IE, and when u click on 'watch video', Streaming media will open up
Video quality/speed/etc = 5 or 6 outta 10
or
2) Install the user developed Youtube Client which is based off the Touch HD/HTC diamond youtube player/program and use that. I think its available on this forum, search for it.
Video quality/speed/etc = 7 outta 10
3) Buy Coreplayer , rather inexpensive, google it.
Video quality/speed/etc = 9 or 10 outta 10

[Q] Youtube Not Available on Mobile

Hi.
In short: How can I avoid that pesky "not available on mobile" message and watch Youtube videos just like on my computer??
Long version:
I sometimes run into the "Not Available on Mobile" message when trying to run a Youtube link from facebook/twitter and such. Example: youtube.com/watch?v=jRKsxAsQgAk (as of 16/4/2011 2pm cest)
First try:
On my Desire and Desire HD they had an option in the Internet Settings to disable "mobile view" of websites, and as such I could just open youtube videos in the browser instead of the Youtube App. On LG there is no such menu option available there?
Second try:
Found another way to disable mobile view, in the HiddenMenu(call '1809#*990#' , credits to Paul for this) where you can switch or change the User Agent string yourself.
First I tried the Mozilla one in the list, but then websites tells me that my browser is outdated. Then I copied the one from my PC (Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; da; rv:1.9.2.16) Gecko/20110319 Firefox/3.6.16) and used that instead.
Now youtube doesnt whine about my browser being updated, instead it tells me that I need Flash player 10. I checked in Android Market and I have the latest version of Adobe Flash Player (10.2).
Now I don't know what to try next. Is it possible in the UAString to tell the browser that I do have Flash 10?
Not sure about the app or firefox, but the xscope browser has user agent in settings. Whenever I have that issue I just change that and can watch the video. Never had an issue with it not finding flash.
