Hi everyone,
If you feel like it's a good day for a beautuful generosity, then Mod Edit: link removed a very good opportunity. I know the two reverend monks personally. Therefore, I can say this fundraising is genuine and for a good cause.
Kind regards,
Aki
As much as I wish you luck, XDA is not a place to raise funds.

mine's Stylez
Well stylez! I know that svetius isn't a mod but he is just awesome.
Members who have been appointed to moderator status are not financially (or otherwise) compensated for these extra duties. They were appointed because of their dedication to the ethos of XDA. All moderators do the best that they can to assist fellow XDA members - some are more seasoned than others.
These types of threads & polls do not foster a sense of community; instead, they encourage rivalry (members VS mods) and innevitably end-up tarnishing the reputation of members. Although I am certain this was not the intention of the poll, I closing it and this thread.

Please take a look at this IT Professional vs Tiny Spider! video. It is very funny. Poor Bob

XDA noob vs. Veteran trolls.
GO GO GO!
I am most regretful, dear noob, to be the one informing you of the impropriety of you posting videos outside of the designated YouTube thread. Please be so kind as to post this there instead, as one of the ladies or gentlemen in our fine moderating crew will certainly lock this thread. Good day, sir.

Wow XDA has become a friendly place of late. Firstly please dont call me a noob. It was an honest mistake. I dont normally hang around these parts rather i spend my time in the phone forums, so forgive me for not posting in the correct place.
Secondly if there are any mods around please feel free to close the thread and chalk it down to an error.
Wtf is she doing xD
So dumb , ppl upload all kinds of pointless vids to youtube and then noobs share it xD

Hey! So my dad has recently lost his job, due to his decaying health(Struck by Lightning). So I'm trying to help get the word out about his blog. If you all don't mine, Check it out. For some reason I can't post links, so just google 'truthtroubles', It's the first link.
Also, open to feedback.
Edited by me, myself and I!

@OP...you are doing it wrong mate! Want spread the Gospel...do it on your neighborhood but not here as Religious topics are highly discouraged.

This is no way a bashing thread towards the moderators here. All I ask that if you're going to close or delete threads please give us notification of why. I know people have a habit of posting in the wrong area and the thread has to be moved. But if I open up a thread which I did about 2 days ago basically saying thank you and expressing my like for this forum and the people who make it all possible why would my thread get deleted without any reason of why it was deleted? Especially if I didn't break any rules or cause flamming or trolling.
I love the 90s good times
I've seen them post reasons for closing threads, but I can see it being very time consuming to post a reason every time. If it was closed recently, I bet they thought your thread could have been posted in our nifty new off topic lounge ([OFF TOPIC LOUNGE] The Four Galaxies) or the New Forum Request thread. We all want to thank somebody, but I don't think a new thread is necessary. Just my two cents...

I haven't seen that thread. Nice though

Would the mods consider that thread to be official? I wouldn't think so. At least not enough to expect us to post certain things there. Not sure how thank you threads are treated considering all the bashing lately.
That being said Kenny does a great job so if it was him I'm sure he had a good reason. Not to single any mods out over others... Just my dealings with him has been great. And he is fast at getting back to you.

I saw there wasn't a topic in this section that was for general discussion. Lots of threads were getting locked, moved and deleted. I thought it would be good to have a place where people could post off topic stuff without getting reprimanded. I asked Kenny for his permission to start the thread and he said it was okay. So I started it.

At this point, I'm certain they do expect us to post certain things in there that aren't relevant to already opened, much needed, topics. That thread will help declutter our forums & keep us from opening unnecessary threads (I.e. "this forum is dead" thread).

100% support. Like I said above, it will help everyone from opening unnecessary threads and declutter our forums. It will even benefit newbs/noobs, making everything easy to access, find & understand.

Stop it guys you are embarrassing me...lol.
@E The Magnificent it is entirely possible your thread was deleted for the reasons mentioned here.....or maybe your spelling J/K.
And my PM "door" is always open so similar questions can be asked directly to me if you like.
But yes the Off-Topic lounge opened by @oscarthegrouch is the official lounge for this device and please post there anything not device specific.
Thanks Oscar for doing that.

Due to that Baidu scandal , and several past bad stolen credit experiences with a certain country, rom devs should declare where are they are based..just saying..I see a trend of info spying from a lot of Chinese and Indian based apps..
Hey,
if there is an issue with a ROM you can press the report button next to the post. A Moderator will look at it then. If there are spying tools or paid Apps in a ROM, it's against XDA rules and will be handled by mods.
Maybe a Moderator can answer to this thread too? @justmpm maybe
Kindest regards

You pretty much just answered it...
if there is spyware/malware/brickware then report the thread and it will be handled.
I don't see where the OP's "bad credit experiences" should introduce some crazy wave of forced location policy.
I live in the US right now, and I could easily use Chinese, Indian, French, Mexican, or Martian sources to build my ROM and include any crapware I wanted to, so my country of origin means nothing in this wise.
How about users just read up and be careful what they flash, and report anything dubious?
I once ate some Turkish Delight that had a bit too much powdered sugar on it and it made me cough several times. I will NEVER trust a ROM dev from Turkey now as I just can't afford to put my life in someone's hands like that.
Yeah, what all they said. :good:
If you don't trust devs or have trust issues in general, don't root your phone.
