Hi everyoone. I have a problem. I have d802 international before but i exchange it to vs980 because of 32gb and wireless charging. The thing is i make a backup of d802 using lg pc suite and i have that backup saved on my computer but my vs980 is not connecting to lg pc suite as probably is not compatible with verizon phones. I have rooted the phone and put official t-mobile rom on it and now i can connect to pc suite but only with wifi. Usb is still not recognized in pc suite even when i see it properly on my computer as mtp so i cannot restore it from that backup. is there any other option to do it or if possible how to get access to my backup and take the things i need from it like contacts and notes. I should back it up differently i know now but i was thinking that is not gonna be a big deal because both of them are g2 but different variants. Stupid me .Thank you for any infos.

usb cable
i have also tried many new usb cables... sorry i forgot to mention that.
Can you try a different computer? Trying to identify if it's a computer problem or a phone problem.
i dotn really have the option of using another computer... i think it is the computer but i am not sure.
Plug another device into the computer. 1 that is known to work. If that does not work you will need to uninstall your usb drivers and reinstall them with no devices attached.
For more information google hardware manager usb.
If this doesn't solve your issue it would either b a virus or hardware failure. If your phone charges fine I seriously doubt it is your phone that is the problem.
I almost forgot. The android usb drivers have been updated since the last release of windows. I would look into this as well.

Do you have Sync installed?

Make sure you have compatible and up-to-date USB Drivers. Another thing, make sure you have HTC Sync installed.
Check the permissions on the computer with USB Ports.
The phone might be bad. I had this problem and Sprint replaced the phone
Same problem here... my wife's hero is recognized with same USB cable and same computer ... but mine wont recognize ... it started doing this after I flashed to a sense rom to update prl ... could that have screwed it up?

You need to go to the 'device tree' in device manager this is the default and only view on windows xp. You are looking for usb root port or .... well hold on ill find it. Im assuming vista here?
It doesn't say it in the article but from my experience sometimes it can be selective about which devices it will allow to connect.
Unplug your device now.
Removing the drivers and re-installing them erases all the current configurations. Yes your computer remembers everything you have ever plugged into those ports until this point ↓

I hope you remember to google for the latest android usb driver before you plug it back in!
If you didn't just go through the steps again at the microsoft site. Reopen the new drivers From android project Then plug your device in. Keep me posted.
Oh and you cant 'Revert your phone to stock' unless you made a backup of the stock rom before you flashed it. Well you could also have another copy of the same phone lying around... And even then when they send the device to hardware quality labs they're forensic equipment will tell that the locks have been snapped. Your phone might come back with a bill.
↑ Things of this nature are usually against customer service policies but in today's economy nothing would surprise me.
I hope you're not panicking! If you couldn't tell I have run into this problem more than once over the years, so the odds that your phone is jacked up are slim to none £

you can always just download the stock rom from sprint for and update cant u? at this point i might as well insure it then have it get "stolen" just to get a new phone.
Lol. No comment ;D

You can always try the android drivers in my post on how to install adb. Its in the hero dev section. I made that thread because some users were having trouble installing the htc drivers. As usual I'm mobile so I can't link you but you should find it no problem. Hope it helps good luck
Yea it's me again with the

Yes you can revert your phone to stock, don't worry. Just download the RUU from Sprint or HTC's website and run it with your phone plugged in. If you ever can get it to recognize it anyway, lol.
Hello everyone. I have a LG Optimus Black and my touchscreen broke. I have bought another one and had someone replace it. The problem was that the person who tried to change my touchscreen turned out to be a complete idiot , because he pulled the old touchscreen connector out of the mainboard with the socket still connected ! So the socket has been broken from the mainboard. I went to several people to try and fix it but no one wants that kind of work . Ok , but my main problem isn`t the phone , it`s the Phonebook that i am more interested in . How can i pull the phonebook out of the phone . I have a lot of important numbers there and they all saved in the phone . The phone works , but no touchscreen. When i try to connect via USB , it tells me that i need to select USB Sync . Please help me . Thank you.
I guess from lg pc suite
And backup data:thumbup:

What about OSP (onscreenphone), maybe you can still access your phone like this Didnt you sync it with your google account? If you synced, it should be there, when you sync it with another phone.
OSP should work. You can remote your phone without touching your phone.
Link to OSP
select Download
then OSP and Windows OSP.
Export phonebook to microSD.
Finish
But don`t i need to instal OSP to phone too ?
p.s If you want to connect via a USB, make sure that the "Mass storage only" checkbox is deselected.
Is it ? I am downloading now.
Later
It says that no USB Device Found Please try again after checking the followings. etc...
It should be installed already, when there was a stock software on the cellphone... If you had CM7 running, it probably was not on the phone...
Have you installed the LG p970 driver?
http://minus.com/lswrA9nYtvxHC
I have installed the driver but no luck. Same message Any other options? thank you
which firmware use you?
With OSP phone must turned on. what sayes usb sync on?
Or maybe you could just go to the phone book and copy all numbers down?

Maybe somebody can help me!
My Optimus 4X HD was stolen this week. After a few thoughts, I've realized that I don't want to hunt for another phone on such a short notice, so I've bought a similar one, and will decide later, if I want to have a better one.
Of course I thought, that by having the same type phone, my LG PC Suite will be able to restore at least my contacts, as I was making backups regularly on it. But that's not the case, and the PC Suite can't find any previous backups, after I plug in my newest Optimus. Could anyone advise if it's possible to somehow restore my backup of my previous Optimus on the new one in anyway from the LG PC Suite?
@Roppo
Sorry for your phone being stolen and wait what, you bought another 4x HD? Worst decision you've ever made in your life.
Maybe try logging into your old google account, that should restore your contacts..
Also did you really get it stolen and if so why did you buy an 4x hd? Plus did you try to find it?
Similar thing happened to me, and I think you cant restore them. Since then I use google contacts and sync them occasionally , and what ever happens to phone, contacts stay backed up at google.
Hey guys,
I just installed CloudyG2 yesterday. No problems. Today I try to set up Xposed and fiddle around with that (EDIT: To clarify, I did not actually install Xposed.) but I can't get the phone to be recognized by the PC. The only thing that shows up on the phone is the charging slowly message.
LG drivers are installed and up to date
The cable is most definitely a data cable
I have changed the PC connection setting on the phone to MTP
I have tried two different computers and all their USB ports
I searched and searched but I can't find any solutions outside of what I already checked above.
LG G2 VS980
CloudyG2 3.3
Any thoughts on what I might try next? I'd love to avoid a full wipe and reinstall if at all possible as the only computer I have access to is my work computer and I am off for two days.
Thanks in advance.
I have had this LG Optimus L90 D415 for a few years now. I love this phone for its long battery life and double tap off/on screen. Couple years ago I got another phone to carry with me and use this LG as a MP3 Player, Audiobook Player, etc.
So I rooted the phone with Kingroot APK which was easy and required no knowledge and skill (I am completely Android illiterate . Sorry about that.)
Then I started uninstalling all the bloatware like Amazone, Kindle, etc.
But ......... I uninstalled some other APKs that were not bloatware but I assumed I had no longer needed them. I am pretty sure I went too far and uninstalled some thing I shouldnt have.
Now the MTP has stopped functioning. When I connect my phone to a PC, the driver fails to install and the MTP option is no longer available in the notification bar. It means I cannot copy anything from PC to the device or vice versa.
Now I have TWRP apk installed on my phone, I have root access, but I dont know what will restore my phone's essential software that was related to MTP.
Right now that MTP is not working, I cannot connect to a PC, so , the only thing left is to copy something on the SD card (I dont know what I need) , put it into the phone and use that file. Other methods that require connection to a PC dont work for this issue.
Thanks for this forum and appreciate all answers
