[Topic]G730A Root/KDZ

Hi, quick question and topic.
I've overcame a ton of comments primarily from last years release of the Samsung G730A S III Mini model claiming root to no root outcomes.
Is the community for devs still trying to open a port or a guide for a successful G730A root?
I ask this as I see that we were the only form of outcasted Mini users.
If that be said, what are the chances that KitKat could make for an easier root process?
Also, anyone know if a kdz flash is possible for this device?
I ask this after my first Android :sly: Thrill 4G was one of the outcasted phone that finally got a root with a kdz flash, the Thrill forum lost all support and anyone interested in new roms had to stay on a EU dedicated kdz that was promised a developer and rom set.
Basically stating that all users were stuck on an EU Baseband with 3G and sometimes 4G LTE if the rom provided even that.

I'm not gonna watch a phone die out because people won't go out of their way to help the G730A community!
There's someone hiding in the dark and not giving answers.
Now we just sit here and watch others gloat and boast about their root? Whenever someone even mentions G730A in a thread the thread just dies out of communication.

Yeah... like seriously! I got the phone when it came out in sept 2013 and been waiting ever since. I voided my warranty by letting an idiot friend drop my phone, with physical damage to the bezel of the phone, I can now root it and do whatever I want. I'm still waiting. But to be honest, I'd rather have the s4 for the bigger screen. But until then I am waiting for kitkat.

Petition: Grant Galaxy S5 Users Unlocked Bootloader Upon Request

Greetings Everyone,

As I am sure many of you are aware Verizon Wireless and AT&T users have yet to receive root. I have created a petition asking for an unlocked bootloader that upon reaching its signature goal will be sent out to VZW/ATT as well as Samsung Mobile. Petitioning has worked for a number of devices in the past such as the HTC Rezound. If you would all please take a minute or less of your time to SIGN&SHARE this petition it would help all of us out tremendously. Below I have pasted the OP from my original thread.

There was some discussion by Russ77 about starting a petition over in the bounty thread, so I went ahead and made one.
You may think this is a long shot or even a foolish attempt, but the bottom line is it could work. The likeliness of this working goes up with every signature. If you are reading this- SIGN! If this really picks up we may be able to change Verizon's policy all together! It takes maybe 3 seconds to sign so lets get this thing moving!
How Can You Help?

2. Get Social- tweet it, facebook it, anything to spread awareness
3. Share this on other forums and websites

There should be one for Sprint as well j/s

Dude I'm not sure whether I should laugh or cry while reading this. Let me explain to you what you're asking, you are asking these companies to allow you the chance to break their device, I'm I right? That's like asking the owner of a house to let you in so that you can rob them, I can't believe XDA is being reduced to this level. Here is a tip, why not find another carrier that gives you the freedom to root until devs can figure something out. Over here we're still trying to figure out how to prevent Knox from tripping once rooted. I'm not sure petitioning mobile companies is the way to go.

Clearly you haven't been around the forums long enough? Hence, your logic makes no sense either. If you want more support for our devices, unlocking it for other variants would attract more development and hopefully contribute to solving tripping knox. So, don't try to discourage a movement that's been done on other devices which BTW was sometimes successful. It's a possible cause.

Based on my limited knowledge of American carriers, this has been attempted before and both VZW and AT&T have little care for such things.
Is there any *recent* example of success?
I remember very clearly that one of those companies stayed that they would not allow unlocking bootloaders, period.
Also I really really doubt you can move Samsung with a petition, they just don't give a crap about them.

It's easier to carry such view point, but of course there are those among us who are looking for quick fix while the rest are working diligently in finding a solution, if you believe that taking a petition to these company will be a positive way then by all means go for it, but remember we're talking about companies that don't give a sh*t about what customers think when it comes to granting boot loader access.

Sigh....another petition thread? This will never happen, so don't bother wasting your time. Don't bother wasting more time than you already have. It will not happen. Period.

Ummmm.... The Sprint S5 has had root since the day it came out. Go read some more please....

We buy their devices to do with as we please...period if the bootloader is unlocked warranty void end of story... what's so funny and hard to understand.people who know the risks also know the fix.

Question bout roms

What's the best rom for the note 3 att I'm on 4.4.2 any suggestions I am confused bout which ones will work I'm not a new just confused any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I'm running DK is pretty solid. But there's other options to. I've tried a few but had to come back because of other ones separating group messaging. But all you can do is test the waters and see what's right for you.

Try them all lol! I'm also currently using Dynamic Kat and must say its really solid!

Android with red triangle and!

I'm a noob and rooted my nexus 6 using NRT, While attempting to upgrade to 5.1 using adb sideload method, when I opened the zip it gave me the android with red triangle. ..phone won't do anything except show the aforementioned icon. ..have access to computer Please help!!!

Hold power and push volume up, once. You will enter recovery.

while it is nice that people would respond to your questions, it is always better to know what you're getting into before doing something like this. this is also why I highly suggest newcomers to learn adb and not use toolkits even though it's a little daunting at first.

Absolutely no problem at all. Remember, some of us here, still genuinely care and want to help. That being said however, please take the time to click the bottom link in my signature and read a great post written by @El Daddy explaining the dangers of toolkits and one click root methods. Not that it pertains directly to your situation but nonetheless, it will enlighten. Also, always, always, ALWAYS read as much as you can about anything you're thinking about doing with any device before actually doing it. Knowledge truly is power. Thank you for your kind words.

Totally agree here. Kit's are great for streamlining, IMO ONCE you know how to do it yourself, lastly, if you want to know how to do it, pop in here, and search first, most likely there is a thread guide already written.
In that thread, read the whole thing, to see if people doing what you will attempt to do have had issues, and why, and how it was resolved, which can go a long way, in terms of you learning, and preventing you from duplicating earlier made mistakes.
Lastly, with the exception of relocking your bootloader then trying something (dont re-lock it): if you can boot to recovery ok, then whatever you may do to it in general can be fixed.

[Q] Finally decided to root my note 3

Long time xda fan, first time poster. So, I have a bone stock AT&T Galaxy Note 3 N900AUCUEOC1 running lollipop 5.0. For about a year now I've been contemplating rooting it but I'm worried I'm gonna jack my phone up. Besides replacing my lcd screen I haven't done really too much with it. This will be my first attempt at rooting any phone and I wanted to ask a few questions to get some clarification and direction.
First, what currently is the easiest way to root a droid for someone that doesn't speak a lick of tech?
I've read 10 different ways but if anyone would know, its you guys. Does Kingo work with what I have?
What do I need to do prior to root? I.e, what do I need to download?
Also, could you recommend a decent ROM? Whats a good backup app that will actually work?
Lastly, I have a game ive been playing for a couple years and I dont sign in, it recognizes my phone or something, its on my sd card but will i lose it when I wipe my phone? Thanks in advance for your time.

I would never discourage some one from rooting their phone, however, you have chosen a hard place to start. You need to become familiar with odin, and /or safetrap. There are great instructions already posted, but unless you have a working knowledge of Odin, you are going to cause yourself a great deal of headache.
I suggest finding a friend who has done it, and have them walk you through it the first time.
By the way, I have been rooting Android phone since the original Motorola Droid. And I have this one rooted. But I not so easy for people new to the process.

Thanks for the concern. I used to be pretty smart. Ive watched and read a ton about odin and I guess people just make it look super easy. I've noticed theres a different variation for every model of droid so I gjust need to find the right one and figure out what to do before and after the video stopped. Im just hoping I can find some help here. Thanks again

Best I seen about Odin with a video http://www.samsungodindownload.com/odin-tutorial/ and this is the Odin I use http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=3109599&d=1420980613 Once you think you're ready http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-att/help/att-note-3-lollipop-t3100657 and post #4 has all the links you need. You are Lollipop so you WILL need to do all four files (first picture shows, if you try the All-In-One you will have problems). I'm on here everyday so if you need any help post here or send a message. I don't mind helping and NO, you do not have to donate to me.
