OK, lets do it...
First you'll need the .kdz file. The firmware to flash it. Click here: http://csmg.lgmobile.com:9002/swdata/WEBSW/LGP880/ANLDWH/V10F_00/V10F_00.kdz
Next, the programs, here: http://www.4shared.com/rar/Re4VCOAS/kdz-update.html
Assuming that you already have the LG drivers installed...
1 >>>>> copy the V10F_00.kdz to the folder that you download (kdz-update).
2 >>>>> install "msxml" from the "kdz-update" folder.
3 >>>>> run "Windows Enabler" from the "kdz-update" folder, it should appear an icon on the right/bottom of your screen, if not near the others in the taskbar, you need to click on it and you should see "ON" on that icon.
4 >>>>> run "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin" from the "kdz-update" folder.
On the field "Select type" choose "CDMA - SmartPhone(WM)" (if the flash fails change it to "3GQCT - SmartPhone(WM)")
On the field "Version" (at the left) type "V10F_00".
On the field "Select model .dll" browse and select the "P880.dll" from the "kdz-update" folder.
On the field "PhoneMode" select "EMERGENCY".
On the field "Select kdz file" browse and choose the "V10F_00.kdz" that you download and should be in the "kdz-update" folder.
5 >>>>> with your phone "OFF" and the USB cable connected to the PC, press "VOL-" and connect the cable to the phone untill it turns "ON" in "S/W Upgrade".
6 >>>>> Now click on "Start Upgrade" in "UpTestEX_mod2_marwin". As soon as you see some progress in the log, put the battery on the phone, carefull to don't let it drop.
Wait until the phone reboot by it self and it should be all.

The phone boots up but stucks at the lg logo. With 'select type: CMDA (smartphone wm) the log stops at '13:41:32 : 3GQCT : wParam = 2001, lParam = 0'. It never says complete. And with 'Select type: 3GQCT (smartphone wm) it gives an unpacking error.
Its very anoying.

Forgot to tell you, everytime you need to use the flash tool you need to close it and restart it again.
That unpacking error is because of temp. files. The program unpack the kdz file to another one where is the .dll and the .dz, doing that twice it uses to have that error.

What RuedasLocas said is correct however this:

Isn't. Keep the phone type set to 3GQCT.

@judodave, try first flash the V10A version.
My first flash went wrong and I was going crazy around the V10C and only after I flash with the V10A I was able to re-flash with the V10F.
Maybe it works with you to... at least I hope so.

thanks but didn't work either/ i shall try V10C_00 as of it came out off the box with V10C i beleive. Wish me luck :good:

You'll do it. From time to time someone appears with a phone like yours. For sure is something escaping and we just don't figure out what it is.
When we start to do the same thing over and over again, we use to forgot some small procedures.

unbrick booting problem stuck with lg screen
hello sir just yesterday i tried to downgrade my lg p880, and while the process i dont know what went wrong n it got stuck in lg screen, m a noob i tried all options mentioned here but i got no success, then i tried this it worked for me, i successfully got my phone working to stock without data loss,but u need lg pc suite, installed in ur pc u can get that from lg web site,
step 1:- keep ur phone off and connect ur phone by holding vol - key, it will show u software update
step 2:- then open lg pc suite
step 3:- click on device then select emergency firmware recovery
step 4:- u will come with notification u have to click ok
step 5:-then u will see lg mobile support tool there select ur country and install drivers
step 6:- then it will show ur phone connected but it may say ur phone as already updated software etc, but dont worry it will update it then leave it it will start downloading firmware and once its over phone will reboot normally, u got ur phone back, working

Thanks.. it works. I just upgraded my lg p880 from v10e to v20a two days a go. Then i rooted the device. Works for two days, then it stuck at boot logo after I restarted the device. Do not know why. So far has been disappointed with the battery performance and the sound quality of this device. Hopefully the new v20a can help improve even just a bit:good:

Hello. For me it`s not working firmware recovery. Tried everything. Nothing was helped. Around 6 ours of playing with the device and nothing. And finally i made it. Restarted my Windows. Killed all background applications like Nokia pc suite, everything. And then worked like a charm.

someone please help me, i was actualizano my lg 4x through lg mobile support too, l gave me an error and now enceindo in any way or sw or anything just when I connect to pc recognize me as apx device. please help.

i would say u install lg pc suite again on different pc and try mine procedure m sure it will work as ur drivers r missing thats reason ur not able to go ahead sorry for late reply

V20 Security boot loop error

Just installed the v20 and done the boot unlock. Now my phone is stuck in a security boot loop error, I cant get into recovery or into software update mode. Is this screwed? Cant even get back to adb or fastboot!

Can you get into APX mode? (Vol+ Vol- Power)
I've seen an SBK posted somewhere in forums, it can be used to reflash using wheelie and nvflash

To flash in LGFlash, you need com port, to get com port you need to get into software update mode.
APX is like "direct flash access" mode.

didnt work for me
Looks like the root went fine for me, the unlock somehow screwed up though, because ive now cat'ed the imgs over and am getting the DRM secure boot failure. Cant get into recovery, bootloaders bust and software update doesnt boot either. Can only get into APX, hopefully I can do something with that.

If you hold vol- power you get what?
Edit: I mean, take out battery, hold vol-, insert usb, repeat if screen gets striped.
There may be 3 possibilities:
When you did cat the file was not found -> you screwed corresponding block.
You misplaced blocks: overwritten boot with recovery and recovery with boot.
You did not check unlock state: in hidden menu or s/w update.

I'll go with the last option on that. I think my bootloader is still locked and the copies went fine.

I think you should keep trying, because the thing you described is because of insufficient voltage at start moment.
Try to connect to more powered usb port / disconnect other devices from same hub (!!!), as soon as you get into S/W update mode reinsert battery.

or try not to use usb3.0. i coulnd't go into s/w mode because my hub was connected to usb3.0 so when i connected phone directly to my usb2.0 s/w screen showed

When I did tried to go back from V20A to V10H. Only LG logo with Security Error. Only where can I get is S/W Update mode. I'm not able to enter stock recovery for wipe data/factory reset.
From logcat:

Can't open nvdata partition handle = -1.

It's solved..because with KDZ and UpTestEX_mod2_marwin downgradin did not work only with LG Flash Tool. This JB Beta release is not good it will see after official update.

hello i have one or two questions i hope you will answer for me please
1. before you fixed it was it going straight into apx mode if you left the battery out
2.was your screen black all the time and if it was what do you mean as soon as it started you put the battery in(did your pc show unknown device)
its just so i know if im experiencing the same thing and figure a way to fix it, ive always managed to get around things previously but new to nvlash and apx

[Q] locked in S/W with bootloader unlocked !!

I got stuck in S/W mode saying " bootloader state : unlocked " with no progress by any methods " LG flash tool or KDZ or the official LG support tool "
LG flash tool stops after 18 seconds saying download dail
KDZ updater stuck on " 3GQCT : wParam = 2010,IParam = 2010 " with no further progress
I tried all the methods on different PCs with no luck !!

are you using the original usb cable?

i used the original one ... and i have flashed the device hundreds of times before with official and custom roms ... it was working well then !

check windows device manager (if you're on win) to see if drivers are properly recognized

i reinstalled the drivers many times with no luck .... i also tried on different laptops on windows 8 and 7

I have something like this before, try this:
1 remove batt and reinsert
2 hold volume up then power
this will take you to s/w upload screen then update
3 remove and reinsert batt
4 power up normaly
I guess that the bootloader marked as boot to s/w for update but the procedure trick it as "already" update.
It helped me

thanx for the tip my friend but it is still not working .... there is no other mode from the start ... any buttons i press lead to s/w mode no recovery and of course no normal system ... even when charging the mobile there is no logo for charging ... only s/w mode ... i guess it means the bootloader is broken ... any advice or idea would help with that !

I have the same problem. Already tried almost everything with WinXP/Win7 and many cables including original. Also tried to get it fixed by the stuff in mobile phone's service but they were also unable to fix it. I think there is no way to fix it :/

I was trying to unlock bootloader for installing cwm.
I used a terminal app on my lg-d410 to apply aboot.bin then I restarted my cellphone and I think I'm hard bricked now,because there is no sign live except two signs:
1- when I connect my cellphone to pc, while holding volume up+power, in "Mycomputer" a removable disk appears that contains two folders:
1-image
2-verinfo
the first folder contains 76 files with some strange formats
the second folder (verinfo) contains one text file that has this text in itself:
M8626AAAAANLYD1338.1
is there any way to unbrick it?
you are my last chance guys!!!!!!!

Can you go into download mode (down vol+USB)?

I think I had that problem before, if you can show a print or a photo of what appears in the screen, when you turn it on.

The Phone doesnt turn on.
I try everything, VolumeUP and Power, VolumeDown and Power nothing.
If i connect the Phone with the PC there is an 63,9MB Drive with two Folder:
"verinfo" and "image" thats all :/

[GUIDE] [UNBRICK]LG Magna H502F Stock Rom

Your LG Magna(H502) stuck on lg logo or bootlooping follow this guide to fix your device
Requirements:
USB Cable
LG Driver
LG FlashTool
MegaLock.dll
H502F Stock ROM
Let's start
1.Install the LG Driver
2.Install LG FlashTool and don't run it yet
3.Copy MegaLock.dll and replace in the folder LG FlashTool (C:\LG\LGFlashTool)
4.Turn off your device(remove battery and put it back to be sure its off)
5.Press and Hold the Volume UP button,plug in the USB cable and hold until you see "Firmware Update" you are now in download mode
Don't plug into usb 3.0 port and try other ports if getting issues
6.Open Device Manager on your PC
Go on "Ports (COM & LPT)" if the driver is installed properly, you will see "LGE Mobile USB Serial Port (COMxx)"
We need to change the COM port number to 41
Double click on "LGE Mobile USB Serial Port"
Go to Port Settings Tab and click Advanced
Change COM Port Number to COM41 and click OK
Disconnect USB cable,wait a few seconds and reconnect or reboot back in download mode to check if the drivers are working properly
7.Open LG FlashTool as admin
Tick the Select Manual Mode box
Extract LG Magna H502F.rar
Click the DLL "....." button and select the DLL found in the extracted folder(LGH502f_20150416_LGFLASHv190.dll)
Click the S/W add button and select the file with the .tot extension(LGH502fAT-00-V10a-CIS-XX-MAR-16-2015+0.tot)
Don't touch anything else and press ok
Flashing will format the phone all data will be lost
8.Click on the Yellow Arrow Button at the top left and it will start the flashing process
When you see ready in a few seconds you will be asked to disconnect and reconnect the cable and it will start flashing
It will take some time
During the flashing process, the phone will reboot itself and will display "MiniOS Factory Reset Status".Don't worry about it
When you see pass in FlashTool and Factory Reset Status 3 on your phone means the flashing process is completed
Disconnect the cable and remove the battery
Power on your phone and enjoy your working phone again (Don't forget to disconnect USB cable else if you didn't close the FlashTool it will go back in download mode and flash again)
Fixing problems
Factory Reset Status 2 and download fail
Method 1
1.Disconnect the cable and take out the battery after some seconds insert back
2.Press and hold both the power button and the volume down and hold until LG logo appears release the buttons and immediately press and hold both buttons again to go in Factory Reset
3.Choose Yes, then Yes again, the phone will reboot
Method 2
1.In step 7 where we are setting up the FlashTool change the action mode to Board DL instead of Upgrade DL
2.When the flashing is done your phone will reboot to the AAT Screen
3. Hold down power button and press normal boot (+power) your phone will reboot. (dont forget to disconnect usb cable or close the FlashTool)

My lg magna is not booting.
I tried installing a custom ROM it showed that it was done but its not booting now. Its not even booting to recovery mode. I've not tried flashing the a ock ROM but will it work.will it boot in download mode?

Hello, I have the following problem. As in every other thing ive done to this phone (root, installing twrp, installing xposed) I always thought my model was LG-H502F. Though, my model is LG-H500F, I bought it from Greece, I recently bought Huawei P8 lite 2017 for myself and I gave my old LG to my father, he tell me that sometimes it lags and he is right. I think it lags because I uninstalled Xposed (flashed the uninstall zip using twrp) and also removed root, because he didnt need those things in his phone. The question is: Is there somewhere I can get the stock LG-H500F zip and what guide should I use? Ive been searching for a while now and can't find many topics related to LG-H500F. Thanks
