I am now depressed. I have the galaxy s5 smg900a 0C4 lollipop
I downloaded an app called softkey enabler to have on screen buttons, and I gave it root. I restarted the phone as prompted and it won't boot!
I tried it again and no boot.
I pulled out the battery and no boot
I did a factory reset and no boot
I... I don't know what to do anymore

Sorry if there is a thread about this already.
My girlfriends galaxy note started to do a software update and went to reboot and it gets stuck on the boot up screen. (With the writing)
The phone isn't rooted but is there anyway to get the phone working without doing a factory restore and wiping the data?
Thank you.
Hello! I am posting this because I have searched for hours on how to fix the phone with no luck, so this is a last resort. Im using a AT&T (sadly) galaxy s5. I was going to update to lollipop but couldn't since my device was rooted. I tried to unroot it by using supersu, but pulled the battery because it was taking forever (I know I know.) The phone at first booted to safestrap and I tried to factory reset to take off the root. Now, whenever I turn on my phone, it wold be at the samsung galaxy s5 screen with the little unlocked symbol. I tried to flash the stock firmware with odin. Didnt work. Now it boots (still says unlocked) and when the samsung animation finishes, it stays on a black screen. Any help at all? Thanks!
Try flashing the kernel from the root page
HI,
I have experienced a weird problem with my phone. it will not boot and whenever i turn it on, the initial samsung galaxy s6 logo (powered by android) screen comes on, goes blank and goes back to the same screen.
i have tried wipe data/reset from recovery as well as trying to odin flash 5.1.1 stock fw. none of these have worked. as of now, my phone is just stuck and will not get past the initial screen.
any thoughts/suggestions? don't know what else to do right now .
today my galaxy s6 att has just bootloop and stuck on att logo .. ...i have access to recovery mode and download mode only...i cannot get to safe mode...i beleve its a app which i install and when i try the ultra power saving mode the phone got stuck at 100% at changing the theme and i rebooted instanly and after that it started and it says starting apps and get stuck about 5 minutes and when i again try to reboot again it gets stuck on att logo....is there any way to get my data because my backup its old or to start the phone without wipe phone memory or factory reset..ps the android version is 5.1.1 baseband oi2 ..... any help appreciates
Power off. VolUp+Home+Power until you see the Android. Look for option to clear cache. If that fails, use same method and factory reset.

I recently decided to root my Samsung Galaxy S6 (G920AUCS4CPG1) using this method: ww.android.gs/root-att-galaxy-s6/ And my phone ended up getting stuck at the Samsung logo. I am able to get into recovery mode and I tired wiping the cache partition and factory resting but it still gets stuck on the boot screen. I searched the internet for hours for a stock firmware i could re-flash and just be done with it but could not find one. At this point I don't even care about root. I just want the phone up and running. As a sidenote i'm pretty sure what i flashed was a android 5.1.1 frimware, whereas I was on 6.0.1
