We can record 60fps at 720p
I think

I tested out the different modes using Open Camera app (free, just search "Open Camera" by Mark Harman on Google Play since XDA won't let me post links) and at 60 FPS the app could not record video at any resolution.
I believe the stock camera app can record at 60 frames, but it is a slow motion setting and limited to 720p only.

Something like Timeshift Burst

As you know, Xperia devices have Timeshift Burst feature that can capture 61 pics in two seconds.
Now I ask the developers to make an app that can capture more pics in more times, or even the same times. For example 360 pics in three or six seconds.
Sorry for my bad possible explanation
I don't know where should I create this topic, so I came here
Timeshift burst = capture video for two seconds using 1080p at 30 fps,, hence why you get 2 megapixel images only. 360 pics in 3 seconds would demand 120 fps man, which would be only be possible at 720p under Timeshift slow motion video. Don't think anyone can make this due to hardware limitations especially at 1080p.

Got it what you said
But keep the proportion and just add the extra time
Now it captures 30fps in 1080p , so keep it but just add e.g 1 second extra
Is there a really hardware limitation?
If you're a programmer, write and test it

[Q] Slow motion video

What specs does the N6 offer in turns of slow motion video capturing?
Bump. I have the same question. Seems that none of the reviews explored the camera settings. Any update on this?
Everything I have seen has said that it takes video at 30fps
As far as I know, slow motion requires more frames per second. So I'm thinking that's a no on slow-mo. I could be wrong though.
The only spec i see is 4k @30fps.
I hope the stock camera app will allow for 1080P or 720P at either 60, 120, or 240fps. This is really a make or break decision for me, but seeing as though there are no frame rate specs for the other resolutions yet I will probably just have to buy it and see. I'm sure the devs will have at it if it does not come factory, although I hope it comes stock.
I found this quote at techtimes.com, If true I hope for at least 720p @60fps+
"The Google Nexus 6 uses a 13-megapixel rear camera with OIS (opitcal image stabilization), dual-LED flash, autofocus, 4K video recording @ 30 fps, 1080p video @ 30 fps, and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera."

I don't know if this video is legit, but here's a youtube video supposedly shot by the Nexus 6, 1080p @ 120 fps:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Aq7XPDsnuXk
i'm sure that video is fake. There is no proof that the video came from a nexus 6, let alone any mobile device.
Once the embargo is lifted on the 12th we'll all know 100% about the camera I suppose
Google I/O
Lollipop opens up the Camera API to try to allow camera apps to take full advantage of the camera hardware. What is that camera hardware able to do?

well this sucks ... from the Nexus 6 page on Motorola.com
"2160p (4K) UHD, 1080p HD and 720p HD video capture modes (30fps)"
hope they are just leaving out the rest of the modes

The snapdragon 805 is capable of slow motion video. Even if it isn't available out of the box, which I kind of suspect it will be, I wouldn't be surprised to see some enterprising developer figure out a way to make it happen.

Even my 2 year old Note 2 does slow motion video but the Note 4 slow motion still does not capture audio with the slow mo video or do it as well as the iPhone sadly. It would be great if the Nexus 6 could do slow mo with audio & had some cool video effects like the Note line..:good:
bump

Agreed. Since the api allows for developers to gain access to it like never before I'm sure it's only a matter of time before we see it. If I'm not mistaken the one plus one phone has slowmo recording and it uses the same camera. It's just something that needs to be implemented in the software.

Even the reviewers in many of the reviews that came out yesterday seemed surprised at how basic the camera app on the N6 is. RAW capture is the big new thing with L but the camera app doesn't capture it. Either Google has a big update in store or developers will find their own way. There have already been numerous example improvements shown with lcamera.
Anyone with a device in hand yet try any 3rd party camera apps?
You have to remember the guy who posted about the api'$ and taking raw pics it was with nexus 5 and a camera app he wrote ... won't be long b
efore some apps have it though i am sure
Here is his git hub so his camera can be used
https://github.com/PkmX/lcamera/
Here is the write up
http://www.androidauthority.com/nexus-5-lollipop-camera-api-samples-540858/
since it has the same camera as the one plus, would installing the camera apk from it possibly bring slowmo recording or will it have to be written into the frame working?

Double Bump. The answer to this question is what will decide whether I buy a nexus 6 or a note 4.
---------- Post added at 10:10 PM ---------- Previous post was at 09:36 PM ----------
Can someone with a nexus 6 try the app 'Open Camera' by Mark Harman (hopefully not the actor ) and hit the settings (gear) icon, Photo and video settings, Video frame rate, change it to 60 or 120 and then record a video. In theory this should bump the video up to a higher frame rate and then playback should be slow motion. Just a guess here but it is worth a try. Also I doubt this app is using the new 5.0 APIs so it may not be a true test.
Edit: better yet try this app that is designed for the 5.0 API. https://github.com/PkmX/lcamera

Cool suggestion; just tried the Open Camera app and video recorded at 720p with 120 FPS enabled but the playback appeared normal on device. I'm going to try and run the video on my PC and see if I can find if it actually recorded in 120. I'll also try that other app and get back to you.

Cool! Keep me informed.
I tried the open camera as well as that L camera, I was able to change the framerate in the settings but it still records at 30 fps so no luck there sadly! I really hope we can get a slow motion app working someday, it's an awesome tool from time to time.

Camera app

Hi,everyone!
Currently I am using the NostromoPop rom on my One Mini 2,along with DSLR camera for taking photos and Cinema FV-5 for video recording. Now,I know the phone is limited by its internal capabilities when it comes to the resolution and framerate it can shoot a video at,but I know for a fact that sometimes you can get more from a camera that the developer intended (I have used a Huawei G510 before, horrible phone but with a lot more roms to choose from, and one of them allowed 720p recording, which wasn't possible on any other rom, including the stock one).
What I'm asking : Is there a camera app(perhaps combined with a kernel or tweak of files) to allow 1080p 60fps video recording on the HTC One Mini 2?

Not sure what you asking since HTC One Mini 2 already records at 1080.
Camera
Main Camera: 13MP, BSI sensor, f/2.2, 1080p video recording
Front Camera: 5MP, BSI sensor, 1080p video recording

Ummm...not trying to be mean or anything, but you should learn to read better before voicing an opinion, not just between the lines. What I asked was if it was possible to shoot at 1080p 60fps on the One Mini 2.
Have a nice day!

it records 1080p at 30fps
and 720p at 60fps

Is it possible to record 60-120fps video on A71?

Is there any tricks or apps to record 60-120fps videos on A71?
A70 can record 60fps but A71 doesn't allow it. A71 cpu is much better than the A70 why are they doing this? I'm sure this is a software thing.
I think the hardware can do 4k 60fps and 1080p 120fps.
I've installed multiple camera apps, the only thing I could do is recording 1080p 120fps with Filmic Pro app on selfie camera
1080p 60fps main camera X
1080p 60fps selfie camera X
1080p 120fps main camera X
1080p 120fps selfie camera ✓

I've only tried enabling [email protected] by software, works fine but no video stabilization (tutorial here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-a71/how-to/samsung-galaxy-a71-mods-t4173295)
I'd have to check 120 fps, maybe it's possible idk, I'll check later

Please let us know.
Well, on my NcX update 2.5.2 I will include 60 fps recording on both main and selfie cameras at 1080p
Couldn't make 120 fps work on either and in any resolution, probably needs way more modding and time investment, things I do not know how to do or don't have the time lol
It was a nice dream though xD

How can i Record 60 fps video?

I was wondering how can i record 1080p 60fps video on my merlin?
Even old models like note 5 have 60fps option. Then why it is disabled on merlin?
Please provide me tricks.
