Hi all,
I installed lollipop yesterday and have many, many random reboots. Any suggestions other than resetting the phone?
None. Start over and clear everything.

If ever anything like that happens it is most likely a file that didn't take right so best bet is wipe and ur good to go

Im curious if anyone else besides me has experienced this.
This morning i experienced my first random reboot and all i was doing was playing pandora overbluetooth headphones. Nothing else. And it rebooted on me, all seems well but im not sure if its something i need to be worried about or if itbwas probably just a glitch

Only thing I can suggest is a Odin back to stock. And start over.

An occasional random reboot isn't a reason to wipe your phone IMO. If it happens multiple times a week, then yeah it's a problem.
Ok so my replacement phone just came in and I noticed it's extremely laggy when I'm typing. Keep in mind this video I'm showing is from stock rom/non rooted. Even when I rooted it and installed Firekat or Dynamic Rom (used the method to fix s health) it still stuttered . Like I said my old note 4 was never this laggy, should I get another replacement? What should my reason be if I were to request one from t mobile? I paid $700+ for this, I'm pissed I got 2 bad batches so far
I odined NK4 two times and two different downloads also, lag is still there
Take a look at 0:05 and 0:21 and 0:31

Thread cleaned.
Try and go back to stock unrooted and see if you still got issue

I was in settings/storage, and tapped on apps. The phone lagged then opened the apps section. I tapped the back button and then the phone shut off and restarted. I am rooted, twrp recovery, but using the stock rom.
Has anyone else experienced this at all? Wondering if it is a widespread thing, or not.

Cool story bro
I've been getting way too many random reboots. Something as simple as turning off wifi or turning it back on will cause it. I'm not sure why it does it and I'm fully stock, unrooted. I've seen suggestions about clearing the cache and I've done that, but the problem continues. I'd say it does it on average once every couple of days.
Now that's a cool story, bro.

That stinks huh?! Unfortunately though if you wanted someone to truly help figure that out you'd want to have a Log of some sort

Have you tried just saving all your stuff and wiping the phone clean and starting fresh?

I've thought about wiping and starting over, but I'd rather find out that it's a known issue with a fix before I go through all of that work. It's not like I've been flashing ROMS and messing around with the radios or anything like that.

I didn't think about that until after I posted. I totally spaced on that.
I was more wanting to know if it was a widespread problem. I didn't word my post very well.

Hey it's all good! I wasn't scolding you or something.. I've been there myself. Hop on here and try to explain something that just happened with my phone and while I'm writing it... Think to myself... Guess a log would have helped lol
I have this error once in a while, I just bought my note 4 last March! I have to restart my phone in order for it to work. It just happened lately. Any solutions?
What rom and kernel?

Most likely try wiping data under application settings in camera app. That should do it.

Its not rooted. Orig tmo stock.
How do I do it?
From a different thread:
Just go to:
- settings
- application manager
- scroll to "ALL"
- find "CAMERA"
- click on CLEAR CACHE and CLEAR DATA
-click OKAY despite the warnings (TRUST ME)
-restart your phone
Now check your camera again (crossing my fingers for you)
If that doesn't work the next step would be a factory reset.
Then if factory reset doesnt work. You need to call t mobile and have them warranty ot out.
Thanks guys

It worked for 2 days. Now when I opened my camera, its just black, no error message , cant take pix/vids. I clear the cache but still the same. I tried google camera ? but wont open either.
If it happened again will do factory reset.

Dude. Take it back . My camera NEVER acted like that when I first got it. Even with custom roms. That will certainly not help your situation considering this seems to be a hardware problem. Did you drop your device?

I bought it around March 9 2015, so the 14day return warranty is over. How is the warranty for Tmobile works? I didn't dropped it.

It's not months old like mine is. Just demand a new phone. If your doing payments. Why keep paying for something that isn't working properly? Is the sellers responsibility. Especially because of the "contract "

If u did a factory reset and still issues either fight for a new phone or get a replacement.

Hey guys,
Just had this wicked battery drain start in the last few days. Not sure what has triggered it - but it seems to be the "Android System" process doing it I believe.
My phone used to last easily two-three days on one charge, now it's lasting 1 day with minimal screen on time.
I've done all the usual fault finding stuff like turning off bluetooth, GPS, got rid of some possible suspect apps etc but no dice so far. Didn't find much via searching and googling - is very hit 'n miss.
Any advice? I'm currently backing up my phone getting ready to factory reset it. It hasn't been wiped/reset since I got it when we were still on 7.1.1.
Only advice, factory reset, a good price after a major software update !
And in my opinion it's pointless to start new threads about battery drain, there are already 2 million out there. Probably everything has been said there, you can't get any new advices.

Yea I had figured as much hence getting ready to do just that haha.
Fairly frustrating, it's been so well behaved until recently.

same happened to me, please do this before the factory reset.
1. Settings/apps/three upper right dots/clear preferences
2. reboot
after that all your apps will delete all permissions and you battery will back to normal, you wont lose any data.
One thing, my launcher was the main battery drain app, I used Evie Launcher, after deleted all back to normal. Hope it helps.
