I flashed several firmwares already, including JM8 and Doc's - which was working perfectly and now this happens to me. Imagine the double facepalm I had when this occurred.
Why I went to flash JM1 ? Because it was originally on my phone when I bought it and I went to flash it and let Kies flash official Froyo because I still haven't seen official Froyo on my phone
So, just from curiosity.
So, steps for semi-bricking your phone:
1. Download official JM1. With it I also downloaded XFJM3 CSC because it is specific to my country and newer than JM1, but you can also use the JM1 CSC.
2. Use Odin and .512 pit file, repartition just with it, then later flash the PDA and MODEM.
3. Everything will work fine, Odin will say Passed, device will restart, pass first logo, pass second...and then the screen will go black and that's it, you're stuck. Notification lights still work though, when you touch them so it's kinda sweet and comforting to know that.
So what's the problem, just re-flash again or try with another ROM? Yeah, great idea that won't work and this is the best part: JM1 is the firmware which didn't have the 3-button combo, which means, if you flash it you lose the 3 buttons combo. It's the only part of the flashing process that actually worked, obviously and unfortunately.
Great job. I just flashed JM1 that won't boot and lost 3-button combo. I'm still thinking of heating it with hair dryer or maybe just putting it on 250°C in the f..... oven and getting over with this.
What do you think?
Oven or dryer ?
OK, I'm pissed. Sorry. Need help. Thanks.
JM1 won't change the bootloader via ODIN. It didn't loose your 3br.
You only need to delete data/cache for your phone to boot, but you don't have that option.
Rather than using a hair dryer, or putting it in the oven, why not just make your own USB JIG cable?
Oh, and why's this in the dev forum?
Yeah, sorry, I put it in wrong forum. Must be because I lost my nerves. I'd appreciate if moderator could move it to wherever...
So what's that JIG cable, how does it work, never heard of it before? Sorry. Will Google anyway
EDIT: found it, will give it a try. Thanks
EDIT2: should I give it a try? Some have bricked it completely with that cable...
Problem solved by using this method: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551
Also thanks to Rawat for mentioning the jig method, of which I've never heard before.

Can someone please tell me how do I delete data/cache, because I flashed the JM8 firmware but still 3-buttons don't work. Tried to reflash the bootloader with 3-button fix but that failed as well.

Deleting cache won't make any difference.
XXJM1 firmware is a low level package(contains sbl.bin and pbl.bin with disabled combo), flashing it through odin will make lose the phone hability to enter to download and recovery mode throught odin.
Solution:
With a JIG enter in download mode and flash Richthofen Aries P-SBL file.
Success, thanks.
I flashed XFJP7 Froyo and after it, flashed the bootloader, now it works, however it's 3e recovery, not 2e, is that ok ?

Yes. Froyo ROMs have recovery 3e. If you want 2e, check chainfire's CF-Root topic on the dev board.
Originally, I am using a 4.0.3 stock rom.
Then I flashed a 4.2 ABYSS kernel and pressed wipe data after.
After that, I flashed check rom v6. However, it cant boot and stops at the GT-N7000.
So I use odin to flash a rom with pda, phone and csc. However, it still cant boot and stops at GT-N7000.
All my steps should be usual as I usually flash the rom of my phone.
What can I do to boot my phone?
Did you boot back into recovery after flashing AbyssNote kernel ?
Which ICS kernel were you using when you performed wipe data / factory reset ?
Now...
Flash stock gingerbread rom with pc odin and then factory reset.
DO NOT select PIT file or boot-loader etc. Flash normally.

It is superbricked.
Take your phone to samsung service centre. Motherboard needs to be replaced.
Act dumb, do not tell them about custom roms and kernels, root etc and make sure you do not have yellow triangle and flash counter.
BTW Which kernel were you using before you flashed AbyssNote kernel?

Did you reboot into recovery after flashing abyss kernel?
You need to reboot back into recovery after flashing abyss 4.2, so the abyss kernel takes effect.
Sounds like you didn't reboot into recovery, and wiped with an unsafe kernel.

You are superbricked. Search the forum for partial recovery since you cannot claim warranty, unless you send it back to France.

Are you sure it was stock kernel?
Stock kernels do not have clockwork recovery - so it is not possible to flash kernel from it.

If you can flash through odin without getting stuck at some point then may still be ok. Make sure to have kernel matching rom. Abyss go with gb rom.
i was on the Liquidsmooth rom, i wanted to go to FireKat.
i tried to go back to stock using Odin, using this tutorial http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-4-tmobile/development/guide-odin-to-stock-unrooted-firmware-t2957156 and in the middle of Odin doing its thing it failed.
now im stuck at "Firmware upgrade encountered an Issue. Please select recovery mode in Kies and try again."
so i downloaded Kies, and my phone isnt recognized.
what can i do so that i can at least get the phone working again?
Several options - first why did you not flash over recovery?
Second boot into recovery and reset.
Third if you can't get into recovery flash a custom recovery such as twrp and flash a new rom.
Hope this helps

the instructions on the first page of the FireKat rom say to "1. Odin Flash Stock ANK4" so flashing via recovery is not a option.
i no longer have a recovery, during the Odin flash back to stock it failed and deleted my recovery. only thing i could boot into is DL mode.
i ended up having the wrong verison of Kies, had to use a older version. the phone was recognized and i "unbricked" the phone.
Meaning install a custom recovery and a different rom and you should be fine

The first step is just to make sure u r on the most current bootloader.
Can you boot the phone into download mode? If so you can flash recovery and a new ROM.

You should be using keis 3 anything else will fail. If you have download mode Odin back to stock with factory firmware. Tekhd has a step by step on how to root. Download firmware from sammobile and ur back to business. Pick your ROM careful.

Happened to me once, seems dumb enough, but change USB cable when flashing stock with odin. If you have access to download mode, you have not perma-bricked your device. Might help. Might not
I was running stock rooted Lollipop ....Wanted to try out a new rom so when I tried to reboot to TWRP nothing happened...So I decided to just reflash TWRP via Odin and it failed...tried to reflash cf auto root via Odin and failed. I was able to flash the NK4 firmware via Odin. And same fail message came up for Cf Auto Root and TWRP...Went to check recovery and I'm back to stock. Tried doing a factory reset in stock recovery and failed...preload destination does not exist! Fudge bananas! So I flashed the firmware (OC6). It's working fine but I can not use Cf Auto root nor flash TWRP via Odin....Any ideas what's going on?

Perhaps you don't have the latest versions of cf-autroot. odin and twrp recovery.
The latest versions are twrp v2.8.6.0, odin v3.10.0 and cf-autoroot.
Both twrp and cf-autoroot are specifically for the N910T Tmobile Note 4.
Here is a direct download link to the latest versions:

p.s. Be sure to use the original Note 4 charging cable.
Good luck!

Which version of the firmware did you odin flash? I have download links for
the baseband and bootloader but I do not want to post the wrong versions.
I am certain of one thing though, your problem is not related at all to the baseband or the bootloader.
If you have successfully odin flashed the proper version of the N910T firmware then you already have
the bootloader and baseband in your phone.
What you really need to do is to go into download mode and odin flash the proper version of twrp.
Then pull the battery and replace it, once it's replaced hold down the volume-up, home key and
the power button at the same time until you feel the phone vibrate, then let go of all the buttons
and the phone will go into twrp recovery.
Once you get there do a full wipe:
System, data, cache and dalvik cache and last but not least do a factory reset.
Once that's done let twrp reboot your phone and you should be good to go except
you will need to odin flash cf-autoroot if you want root access.
Good luck,
Have a great day!

Quick question, what firmware version were you at before this started and have you tried installing an older or newer version like LP for example?. Also verify you are downloading the correct version for your model.
