how I can tell if its xt1100 or 1103? - Nexus 6 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Good afternoon , and sorry for my poor english .They offered me a reasonable price online for a used nexus 6 ,here in South America , but the person, who is trustworthy, dont know much about tech, and he receive it as a gift ,doesnt know wich model is ( 1103 or 1100) .I asked him to run CPUZ but in "system " only appears ;Nexus 6 " Shamus " ,instead the model number and "kernel version 3.10.40 - geec2459 ( 1743759 ) LYMY47D build id . I need to know because in my country LTE 4g is supported in devices with band 4 aws. enabled only (Xt1103).I was reading in another topic aboout enabling aditional lte bands for either 1100 an 1103 but is too complicated for me.I never flashed even a custom rom
Any tips? thanks in advance!

Boot into bootloader. It says there. Turn off phone. Hold volume down and press power.

Thank you very much for your answer,so "kernel version 3.10.40 - geec2459 ( 1743759 ) LYMY47D build id is not relevant to differentiate between the two models.? apologies for my ignorance.

No, it isn`t. The modelnumber is also listed on the box.

The problem could be that there is no warranty, because there is no official bill.
The risk is only the money and equal to 'reasonable price'
For flashing, rooting etc., you will find here information and experts that could help you.
Think also at buying a new N6.

Hello ,
I`ve got Sprint HTC One (m7wls) , is there any way to change m7wls to m7 , m7u or whatever else ? I`ve tried to install Google Edition android , but it checks device`s model first and then installs itself but does not work on this model,

Isn't that what super cid is for?
While that would change certain aspects of the device it will not magically get u to connect to a band that the sprint variant doesn't support

Is the snapdragon 800 going to allow us to have CDMA world phones? I read it somewhere.
It would be cool if we could have identical hardware for all carriers, including CDMA.
This is a world phone. Just that they only put the gsm antennas for talk and 3g since that's really all u need when traveling for abit. If ur referring to using cdma else where then that's useless since the US is really the only place that uses cdma

Xiaomi Mi3 - Suspected fake

Hi.
I have very little knowledge about Xiaomi phones but just got a Mi3.
I do unfortunately think it's fake however, and would like some sort of confirmation of that before contacting the seller.
- The USB-cable have the "MI"-logo which I understand is fake?
- The USB-adapter is labeled "inpei" and is a direct Samsung knock-off, it ever has the same model-nr: ETA-U90EWE as the Samsung charger, lol!
- The box says tenaa.com.cn which I saw in some Youtube video should mean that it's a fake.
- CPU-Z reports correct values, but when I do the "Online validation" the numbers are different.
For example: 960x540 resolution, 1GB RAM, 4GB flash, it does however show Snapdragon 800 here too, which seems strange? Why would they put such an expensive SoC in a cheap fake? Or is that value faked on a "deeper level" which still comes back faked through online validation?
What is however strange:
When I input S/N and IMEI on the MIUI-page the phone appears legit.
"This is a 3 Unicom version of millet phone pure white 16GB
Receiving Location:Shenzhen, Guangdong
Order Time:2014-05-03 15:21:34
Receiving the above information with your personal information does not match, please confirm whether the official channels of the purchase."
- It feels high quality and actually quite snappy.
- Xiaomi market and everything else seems to work just fine.
- It gets around 36000 in Antutu
Could someone PLEASE help my confirm once and for all that this is infact a fake, so that I can contact the seller ASAP! Thanks in advance.

Yup, I'm certain that it is fake. I've tried to download both the English and the Chinese version of that app, but I can't run it. I get the following error message: "There was a problem parsing error"

[Finish] IMEI Change for Xiaomi mi3 w ARE possible!

Hi there!
I want to change my - I think - hardcoded IMEI into my chip qualcomm snapdragon 801 2,27 GHZ with android 4.4.4 and german decuro rom with root access onto.
But the threat -...de.robv.android.xposed.installer - and the app - ...com.vivek.imeichanger - don't work on my phone.
Does this -...qualcomm-snapdragon-imei-tamiri-ders-1 - work for me?
Or does someone know about a solution because I need them to see a simular IMEI from my nokia 3720 for my provider in my company.
kind regards!
It's actually illegal to change the IMEI, so we can't really help you with this. AFAIK though, there is currently no way to change the IMEI on the Mi3 without some expensive hardware.

whichever some expensive hardware do you mean? thank for reply! kind regards!
As already said it's illegal. So you should not ask here on XDA.
There is an other way but will not tell it.
As stated this is illegal and against XDA rules. Thread closes

I mean fake ones wouldnt be QHD, would be very slow, low benchmark obviously and it should never be able to run jelly bean.. if you go to about phone, you'll see software info, status, battery info, they should have N920 in them (specially baseband). Download an app like hardware info for more information about the device. But from what you described, it looks to be fake.

Fake IMEI number, Fake serial number.
The baseband leads to a website called 'CloneROM' which doesn't seem promising either.
You have a fake phone.

Changing the IMEI and serial number will be dependent on the hardware, a custom ROM will not change those.

I can't answer that question since that isn't my expertise. I would advise you to contact the seller of the phone and file a complaint.

You will obviously state what issues you have with the device.
That the device is fake.
It's certainly 100% fake. The site for CloneRom seems to be made for Chinese fake phone makers, What they all have in common is they use a octocore MediaTek (Which Samsung would NEVER use)
https://www.clonerom.com/category/galaxy-note-5
Also if you look at the base band date, it's from 2014. The Note 5 was officially released in Aug or so 2015 which is a dead give away it's fake. Also the IMEI is fake and could actually be blocked by carrier as there could be duplicates with that IMEI so they'll just block the phone so it doesn't take down the network. Each IMEI needs to be UNIQUE.
Go get your money back ASAP and buy a REAL Note 5 or Galaxy S7
Tell the guy you checked out the CPU, It's not meant to be a MediaTek (Only Exynos).
It's Running Kitkat instead of Lollipop.
It's got a bad Serial number and also bad IEMI (which is the worst thing)
stab him :| (after you take your money back)
end of the story

Question Chinese version XT2137-2

Hi all,
I’ve got this phone from China (via Aliexpress) with original Chinese firmware. All technical specs match the description included in the initial release except the amount of volatile memory: mine has 8gb. That is what seller advertised as well but I couldn’t believe until I received it. Pretty good phone for a child for its price. The only problem is that Google family app doesn’t work (like on all phones for China) and I can only select between English and Chinese languages. Thinking to flash EURETEU firmware, but only concerned that the device ID is different (last digit). Any questions and advices are warm welcome.
Show both Id's?
I reckon if its for your fone, and your a flasher lol, go ahead.
The end digit could mean anything without seeing it..?

Thank you for responding and sorry for keeping silent. XT2137-1 is the ID of the Global version. Mine has got XT2137-2
I haven`t tried flashing it yet, but will probably give it try soon
Just use Motorola's recovery tool. Nothing will happen if you switch firmware.
