HI
Does anyone what is the difference between D5803 and D5803CN models?
I looking to buy Z3c and on amazon there is a really cheap one but its called "SONY D5803B XPERIA Z3 COMPACT NERO" (Item model number: D5803CN ASIN: B00NMEHHXE)
Any help appreciated.
I might not be entirely correct but I think the words / letters at the end are just the branding of the phone, also I believe that "XPERIA Z3 COMPACT NERO" is the black model of the phone where NERO is the color.
Also D5803 is the UK / US model and D5833 is the Asia Pacific model - either model works exactly the same just D5803 uses one different baseband than D5833
CN short for China?
First time I'm hearing about this. I always thought that there was only two models: D5803 and D5833.

It looks like Xperia ZL is not launching in Japan? Anyone knows if its true?
Don't even see it in their products lineup!! i'm looking forward to ZL and not Z
http://www.sonymobile.co.jp/product/
Sony's released plan of the devices is messed up. Everything they said on their announcements didn't come true. And yeah japan should also recieve Xperia ZL as sony did mention that both Xperia Z and ZL will be available on all southeast asian countries before european countries gets it. But look what's happening now. Europe has already demo units and released Xperia Z now but on Southeast Asia only japan got the Xperia Z release and only singapore got a demo unit with them. Rest of Southeast Asia has no news whatsoever about these devices. And yeah my most anticipated device "Xperia ZL" looks like got left out of the dark now also.
Will the ZL released in germany?
Japan.
Yeah.... no news from japan...
I think buy the sim free version from the net, n use it with the Japan's line is the best choice....
well...

That will be great except even with a SIM Free phone you need to have the IMEI registered by Docomo to use it, and they won't register any device they haven't sold.

yup.... so we need to go to docomo to register the ZL IMEI id...
Didn't know Japan is that harsh here in Singapore, it's illegal for the carriers to lock the phones

Title says it all. I am looking for the customization number for a C6602 Xperia Z bought from Sony directly in the US. Or perhaps the FTF for it. Just looking for the US model from Sony direct (as some other online retailers in the US have been selling unauthorized imported models)
According to this thread - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2287283 the customisation number for Generic US 6602 handsets is 1271-0119.

I'm aware of that thread but there is no confirmation anywhere in it that the ones listed as US generic were bought from the Sony store in the US. I want to be sure its from Sony not sold by another retailer like newegg or amazon.

It says right in the first line of the thread that the lists are based on official information from Sony.
Apart from that, I don't know what other confirmation you need or can even find around here.

Hi everyone,
I am new in this forum and I have a question regarding the Sony Z phone
From what I researched I found that Sony Z comes in 2 models C6603 and C6602.
My question is would it be possible to check the model on the phone itself?
I am trying to buy a use one from Craigslist.
Thank you in advance.

Do you mean without turning it on?
You could check under settings/about if you can turn it on
Or on the very bottom of the phone in small lettering, over top of the barcode if you mean on the phone itself

You have questions?
*#*#7378423#*#* -> Service Info -> Model info
or
*#*#7378423#*#* -> Service Info ->Software info -> Customization version
On the bottom of the phone, there's a barcode and some text. the first thing after "MADE IN CHINA" is the model numer, e.g. C6603
Hmmm, mine's actually C6616.
Most of the people in this forum wants C6906 for AT&T LTE support, but i am in quite opposite situation..
both C6903 and C6906 will work flawlessly with my current provider- bell,
but with C6906 I will have some problem with Korean service providers because it wont support 800MHZ and 1.8GHZ.
(Korea Telecom uses 800, 1800 freq. as long as i remember).
Since i visit Korea often i really want to get c6903 but i really don't know where to get it from.
Is Sony store in US carry C6903? and if it is for how much? I when to the sony website and it only shows C6902.
Go to amazon.com I got my c6903 from there

Few days ago was possible to buy the cellular version on their store. Tried yesterday and is not anymore possible.
That said you can buy it on Amazon. Usually in countries like UK there are nice bundles with the smarwatch. I bought mine on handtech they were fast and very competitive (at the time)

i decided to stick with c6906 as i will have warranty in canada and extended warranty from my provider (covers pretty much everything including lost phone)
I found out that i won't have problem using c6906 in korea as long as i don't worry about 4G LTE, 3G will definitely be supported.
Thanks for your offer though
