Actually, that is not true.
The only official Lollipop ROM is still 5.0.2. Memory leaks on that ROM, or ROMs based on it (like Titan Prime), are not completely fixed but have very good RAM management nonetheless.
The issue comes with CM or AOSP based ROMs. They have not acceptable issues with RAM (in my opinion), but it is not the dev's fault, it is still Google's for not fixing that problem for months now.
If you try to use a custom ROM, be aware of that.

Don't find any point in using custom roms. I wouldn't have bought Moto X if I dindn't prefer its special functions. Rooted Moto X , customized and clean of bloatware is the right thing. Not to mention that all Moto X custom roms lack proper basic functionality one way or the other.

Bringing up issues from a ROM on a completely different device helps no one. ROM problems vary with each device. In other words: your not helping.

Yes, you're comparing apples to car tires. Issues another device has on whatever rom has nothing at all to do with a different device. Especially comparing different android versions even.

Nice! I suggest you flash the stock rom back to your Corolla, then it will probably start up just fine!!! If that doesn't work, maybe try the procedures in the "de-bricking" thread.
On another note, do you know of an app I can install to my kitchen sink to make it quit dripping? The sink is rooted, but not unlocked if that makes any difference....
Kryptonite 4.4.4 Rom
We are witnessing the great activities of developers and the appearance of more custom ROMs in the last time. All of them are lolipop custom roms and I wonder why there is so little KK cusom ROM (only Microkat ). It would be nice if some of the developers made a decent kk custom rom, because I think kk is much more appropriate for our phone. What do you think?
I don't think KK is more appropriate for our phone.
The memory issue is quite annoying. i cant even play music while browsing the web in google chrome.
And the main reason actually is because the rollout of lollipop. I bet most people are interested in the newest version of Android then a older one.

Why do You think so? Yes , RAM managment in Kitkat is bad , but I found that in lollipop is even worse.
With all other bugs from lollipom I think that is KK better option for now.
I still hope we will see CM 11 or PA based on KK for our device.

I have received the new lollipop update today, and I must say that it's faster and smoother than kitkat. Oh and battery live is also better.

A LOT of the poor performance issues of Lollipop can be cured by either a clean flash or factory reset
- can be a pain to reload stuff but can improve Lollipop no end
- battery use can be masked by clean flash - no apps etc
- once you load everything you had on kitkat it is the same or worse, depends on usage.
Lollipop use ART , Kitkat uses DALVIK, in time DALVIK will be phased out or not supported by apps

I am going to go one step further back and say stock Jellybean ROM. No kidding.
I have 2 1053-s - one I bought new (my "daily driver") and never upgraded from JB (when KK was released initially a lot of people complained about battery life and other issues). Another I bought used and it already had KK. I used the one with KK extensively for a week druing vacation and observed KK is less stable - had WiFi drop offs when downloading offline maps, also complete phone freezes when camera app was working. I never had these kind of problems (or any problems for that matter) with JB.
As for Lollipop - just see how long the thread "how to downgrade from Lollipop" is.
verizon wise, best rom is either kyrptonite 4.4.4(some prefer eclipse, both similar) or Modded LP 1060, both are flawless, at least for me.
Stock Kit Kat because it never gave me any headache.
5.1 only introduced bugs and bad battery.
I would say CM 12.1 is a close second, it has some cool features and the Ambient Display is an actual improvement over Moto Display, waving my hand over the screen to see the time is the best feature.
Hi. I need to ask this. Which one is better for all of you. I need to now it!.
Thanks
Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow is better.
Use Google, you can find out why.
And if you're asking specifically about our device, then Android Marshmallow is better. The battery life in marshmallow CM is twice that of lollipop thanks to Doze and the new enhancements to battery life.
Lollipop is at End Of Life.
It's better for people who can make it work for them. ..
---------- Post added at 05:19 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:16 AM ----------
Look at all the people with bricked devices as a result of the upgrade. Plus you can't view the content of your phone on your PC not can you load any files to your your memory card.. My advice stay with lolipop til there is a solution to these issues. Just saying ...
---------- Post added at 05:38 AM ---------- Previous post was at 05:19 AM ----------
Another question is that if Marshmallow is so good why are so many people installing it , not liking it and bricking their phones in an attempt to downgrade...? BTW I up graded my phone to 6.0 using the xt1069 Brazilian version with the TWRP recovery method and then downgraded back to 5.0.2 using the easy installer with not problems at all. It's only when I used the Indian soak test there my phone bricked whilst trying to downgrade.
@garyben60 Idk what you've done with your phone but I can browse my files just fine on my PC and my SD card is working too.

Good for you!!
Well it depends
Stock 6.0 is good, but when it comes to multitasking IMO it slows down . Also 6.0.1 has better improvements.
CM13(6.0.1)/Custom 6.0.1 is great, but the touch screen bug is a deal breaker for me. It messes up scrolling in Firefox, aiming in games is really really bad, and some games do not respond to touch at all.
Stock 5.0.2 is too slow for me, it's bad at multitasking
Custom 5.1.1 (on slimsaber ATM) is the android version/ROM that works best on me.
Don't take my opinion as final, test out the ROMs for yourself!

Minimal OS is also good.
Anyway,
this is the download of SlimSaber:

and this is rom thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g-2014/development/rom-slimsaber-titan-t3208942
check the last page of the rom thread for my review. Make sure that once you complete setup wizard, go to settings>sound¬if>other sounds and disable screen locking sounds and touch sounds. Don't forget to do this immediately otherwise it may result in heavy AudioMix wakelock. I recommend highly CM12.1 decipher kernel with this ROM for battery.

Problems with Android 6.0.1
Hi all!
Can you all please list out all the issues that you faced as problems after updating to MM.
I haven't updated yet. Was wondering whether to update it or not.
Thanks again.
Just read the title!
All of them have bugs. This makes all of them not worthy for daily-use for me. Not that other ROMs doesn't have, but having to use a workaround to use flash is a big deal to me.
I agree with ^above, there are no really stable roms right now. I am using AICP as daily, and I experience random **** all the time. It's kind of frustrating, but it won't change because there are no dedicated people to work on this device. All the "maintainers" do half-assed jobs, they don't really care about MotoX 2013. Kind of understandable, because it's not a very popular device, and it's hard to work with because of the custom hardware.

Sorry, but what do u need to make them worthable for daily use? Im using july's RR and im not facing any issue at all, everything except screen cast\recording works.
I think u dont find it cuz u dont want to get it done, this rom is mm cm13 based.

Missing video recording is a dealbreaker to me. Torchlight too. Almost every other bug I don't care, but those 2 are important to me. And I don't like RR or any ROM that adds too much customization options, most of them to me are either redundant or useless.
So what is the most stable rom atm?
Can we conclude official cm12.1 to be the most stable rom for ghost?

Yes, the unique problem i've faced is gps cant locking satellites, but is a very well documented problem in all cm roms since ever and its fixable if u get gps lock on ur device BEFORE flashing a rom and shutting it off without deactivating locations.
overlooked 6.0.1. none so far, all buggy.
I'm running RR on a 1056 and so far it's been perfectly stable. No crashes, no random reboots, everything's worked out of the box. And I actually prefer the stock Chromium-based browser to actual Chrome, it's faster.
