This is a mod for lollipop users who miss the good old xLoud and ClearPhase.
It makes the speaker better and loud.
Install Instructions:
-go to /system/app/SoundEnhancement/ and backup "SoundEnhancement.apk"
- paste attached SoundEnhancement.apk in the same path.
-change permissions to rw-r--r--
-reboot and enjoy
Tested and working on LP .690 and .726 firmware.
Please hit THANKS if you like this MOD.
I check and uncheck xloud, nothing happens..
It doesn't make any difference.
Edit:
Difference but rather reduced the sound not loud.

Ok I should check these.
Oops my fault, immediately after pushing to system and setting permissions, it appeared in the settings and I started using without reboot.
Actually clear phase reduces sound.
Thanks

Thanks @Pandemic, it's the settings aspect that I was interested. Aside from what is here by @axaitechie, I also found out that an xposed module by @AndroPlus, found here http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/xposed-semcphone-patcher-t2750775, is able to enable them.

@hotkillerz @sublinker.. The sound enhancement engines same as the mod @Pandemic shared..
Instead of flashing so many things and simply breaking Sony sound engine...
What I did was simply install mixerpaths.XML by @sublinker in his mod (bro hats off to u for this..it really rocks) and then use this sound enhancement.
I found out as to why the XLound,ClearPhase and other Sony settings are not working... I flashed the mod @Pandemic had mentioned and then I did a basic check to see which is the audio software my phone is taking up...so I navigated to settings-sound and notification- audio settings . and I got this message (shown in screen shot attached).
What I found was even setting SELinux to permissive was not helping this.
Solution: Android basically treats Dolby/Viper4Android or any other audio enhancements as audio management engine over your default sound management .. So I restored the original files and now I just copied SoundEnhancement.apk..
Clear cache and Dalvik cache..
And it works
Thank bro, i will try it

@XDRdaniel, i've downloaded and examined the rom. there are some certain things i should mention for your future releases...
first of all, u seem u removed samsung keyboard but forgot to remove its lib files. what u should remove more:
1. t9db folder all
2. etc/permissions/touchwiz.xml
3. from lib folder libxt9core and libdhwr
also u seem u copied miui.bin scripts from ahmedafar's -by the way u should thank him also - miui but u r not running them anywhere... i'm sure ahmedsafar used some scripts to run them; examine his work again -btw don't forget to ask permission before-
u said phone.apk resized? can u tell me how u did this? me and @gadgetroid couldn't make it to recompile after altering the phone.apk -even unaltered phone.apk seems not to be compiled btw-
also the things u mention under "what i fixed?" didn't my rom have those fixes?

then u should say so in the first post... and don' t forget to get his permission...
also from who u get resized apk? did u get his permission also? i appriciate your efforts but developing a rom is not just unzipping and putting some extra files in it... be sure to get permissions from the original developers...
btw those scripts are the key for u to solve the things u mention under "still to come"... i didn't examined ahmedsafar's rom before but it seems he solved those problems with his scripts... for me those r unimportant things -bootanimaton sound etc.- so i didn't try to solve them or looked for a solution...

I'm close, just can't figure out why it isn't recompiling... BTW, I saw no framework-miui-res.apk in your build. Isn't that supposed to be there on all MIUI ROMs?

MIUI 2.4.20 is pretty s*itty for taking screenshots on... I don't have Bluetooth fully functional to take a photo and send to my device... But basically, what happens is that the incoming call widget is shown automatically without the need for us to slide up. Needless to say, this will end up rejecting a few important calls when the phone is in the pocket.

We can't even decompile it without installing, leave alone recompiling. Changing any file in there causes problems with recompiling. Can't seem to understand why.

I gave a try to it and I love it! Works very well. For me audio is considerably better now.
Who knows when Huawei will add the new SRS processing in a new update.... I really don't want to root the phone because I'm afraid that something will go wrong, and I can't send it to service because it was a gift and I have no purchase receipt

Besides it seems that are various ways to root based on the model and firmware..... And i don't know what model everyone had before the Mate7, but coming from a OnePlus One and Note4....the audio is really bad

Use quality headphones and activate DTS, also uses a good equalizer to refine the signature, unfortunately you may have a bad pairing with your IEM.
I'm coming from a Note 2 Int. with a Wolfson DAC and Viper4Android, after switching to a new ROM I have also used Boeffla kernel.
I have an iBasso DX90 DAP to compare and for me the audio is not bad at all. Surprisingly good

I enjoy Dolby Digital Plus sound mod on Kit Kat roms. In combination with Sony Sound Enhancement creates a fantastic music experience on the Xperia Z2. After update to Lollipop i missed the feature. I tried everything. There are some mods that worked, but you lost the Sony Enhancement, which is amazing. Finally i managed to combine the 2 mods (Dolby Atmos and stock sound system)
Instructions:
1) Make a Nandroid backup
2) Flash the zip file in recovery
3) Wipe Cache and dalvik Cache
4) Reboot
This mod works on ExistenZ Y version. I didn't try it to other roms.
Ps: If it is not working, wipe cache and data of "Audio settings" system app

MOD EDIT: DL removed....awaiting OPs reply to using someone's work.

Viper4Android for Android Nougat is out but after installing it I realized that MusicFX is still present in my ROM and V4A is not working inside all apps.
So I have created this simple Viper4Android Cleaner script to take care of that.
I have tested this on all Nougat ROM available right now and it's working very well. The script will remove MusicFX, AudioFX, SoundFX or DSPManager.
Also in order to make V4A working inside any app, audio_effects.conf and audio_policy.conf needed to be replaced.
In short all you need to do is flash it in TWRP before or after V4A installation. After when you boot up there is no need to update driver anymore.
It's all done, just turn that switch ON in V4A app and enjoy your favorite tunes.
ViPER4Android_2.5.0.5_guitardedhero.zip can be found here.

Hi mate, this script also uninstalls ViPERAtmos? Do you think it works in N5X? Thanks

No, the script will not remove old versions of viper or any other viper combinations. There is just to many files for me to track. This is meant to be for fresh ROM installations, to remove default effects and make ROM ready for V4A.
N5X should be okay but I don't have that device so I can not test it.

I also just added My Viper profile in firs post if anyone like to try it. Extract it to internal storage/Viper4Androd/Profile folder and load it up with Viper app :good:
That is couple years old profile and I have fine tune it so many times...

Thanks for reply but I already did a couples of days ago . Doesnt works app crashes in my oreo 8.1.0 .
I think its not supported yet. Our devs doing it already
If you are on millennium ROM or any one with Magisk, install Viper4android from the magisk library. Just download and it will install automatically.
Just make sure you have Uninstaller app to uninstall Samsung's stock sound alive; Viper won't work with Soundalive present.

Make sure it IS working, you can have "Dolby surround and pro logic" IRS; which can make sound pretty loud.
I will try attaching it, after you have it. Go to convolver, press on IRS, it should give you error of some sort, after that copy the file in the viper4android folder in the internal memory>kernel. Boom, it should be working.
PS: I can't attach the file but Google it you may find it.
OR just turn on playback gain, you can adjust it in the settings, in which it can go as far as "extreme" gain; aka the loudest.
