Any options available for our G Flex?
Universal wireless charging pad then your choice of wireless charger. That's what I did.

Hey; If you setup the 950 for wireless charging; how'd you connect a charging pad to the ribbon cable, under the battery back? Where did you find a suitable "kit" for it? In fact, how do you take the batteryback off, without breaking it? I've been searching all over, and no one else seems to have done it. Details, please...

Hi,
Can anyone recommend a decent USB cable for my sons N7?
Need to get a replacement, but the ones i currently have are not beefy enough to charge properly.
Cheers

Same problem, can only find pathetic skinny fragile things.
I have used this cable without any probs
AKASA part no AK-CBUB05-10BK
bought from CPC order code CS20881
Try a flat ribbon cable, Amazon Uk have them http://www.amazon.co.uk/s/ref=nb_sb...onics&rh=i:electronics,k:flat micro usb cable Various lengths and colours. I use a standard 1.2mtr blue one that I bought last year.
I'm using Logitech cable for charging (got it with the mouse) and Nokia cable for PC (they are always connected, that's why separate cables), so get one of those.
I've only had problems with 3 years old Samsung cable because it kept falling out (it stays in on my SE phone)
I really doubt beefyness of the cable affects charging though. I charged my tabled on just about any cable I've found laying around in the house with no problems
The reason as to why your charge cannot keep up is most likely due to using a charger with lower amperage (i.e 1amp/1A).
As long as you purchase a 2amp charger and compatible usb cable, then you shouldn't have any more issues with draining the battery faster than it can be charged thanks to the 2amp charge rate.

Thanks for the reply guys, this is using the Asus charger that came with the device, just that the original cable split, so I need a replacement.
Have looked at the cables, might get one of the flat ones as they look good.
Cheers,
Paul.
Just to let you know I bought the flat ones and they fit and work really well.
Thanks for the replys all.

Trick is to get a short a cable as you can. The impedance really effects charging. The difference between my stock and a 6' cable is like a 60% drop.

Hi guys , I am not sure of what I am asking , but I am really new to the whole idea . If I bought a wireless charging pad , can I wirelessly recharge my phone ? Can you explain how does it work for me ? Thanks

No. There are some stickers with coil in it that you can stick to battery. I don't know if they exists for our device. Have a look on eBay if there is any that have connectors that will fit to our battery connectors.

Search on youtube for "CNET How To - Add wireless charging to the Samsung Galaxy S3" and "High WAF Wireless Inductive Charging Mod Step by Step Guide for Samsung Galaxy S i9000".
I found these tutorials for Samsung but I'm not sure if they help you.
Personally I would not even bother with inductive charging... It looks cool but I think it's better charging a phone via cable - it's easier to use it while charging.

The idea in wireless charging is to have your phone charging without doing anything like plugging in cables when you are not using the phone - lying it on the table, not touching it. Now when your phone is on the table its just wasting time here.
If you wants to charge while using, yes cable is still the best choice.
Anyone that has an active can you look under the cover to see if there are any contacts to get wireless charging to work? Was going to get the phone but I'm sure the built in cover for charging is just going to become a pita and break eventually.

No there are no contacts points just the usb port, which yea in my opinion is a crappy design. Also wireless charging requires no wires and no contact points if it did then it would not be wireless charging. You want to look into a power mat for wireless charging.

SMH, seriously? The contact points are needed to attach the wireless charging receiver to which stick to the back of the case . So yes, contact points are needed for wireless charging, for the wireless receiver. And unfortunately this phone doesnt appear it will ever have the ability to have a wireless receiver patch behind the battery case. A universal one that clips into the microusb port would probably work but kinda not a great route to go.
Everything I've read about fast Wireless Charging compatibility was that it was backwards compatible with the plates we have now. But now Samsung is saying we need to buy their $70 option for that. I'm wondering if this is just a money grab of if I could plug a fast charger into my nexus wireless charging pad and get it to fast charge. Has anyone else even wondered this as they've read about this new standard with "backwards compatibility?"

I don't think it works that way. The regular Samsung wireless charger comes with one of there adaptive fast charging bricks and it does not have fast wireless charging.

Fast Charging will only work with the Wireless Fast Charger. I have the note 5 now and have tested it with 10 different chargers and it works but not rapid charging.
Yea, fast wireless charging is new. It's unfortunate the charger is so expensive, but this is new. They'll be some aftermarket fast chargers soon
All,
Looking for a car dock (not the charger itself, already have that) that supports fast wireless charging. Suggestions?
I've come across just this, but with mixed reviews of having to position it just right: http://www.amazon.com/Qi-Infinity-W...2JFY3Z3Z0G2TS&psc=1&ref_=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl
friend of mine has this one
https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B00UXS7958/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1
works really well.

This supports fast wireless charging? Doesn't seem to list it. I'd also have to find it in American Amazon, but I'm sure I can figure that part out.

Do you know of any other ones that support fast wireless charging? That's a must-have for me.

Just going to add this since it's something I heard recently. You can't quick charge while the screen is on. So if you want quick charge to keep your phone on while using it as a music player and gps the quick charge feature won't matter.
Yeah that makes sense due to heat issues I'm sure. Mine quick charges with the AOD going. I'll have to try it but either way at times its just in the dock in car and I want quick charging. I have a perfect dock now but doesn't do fast wireless charging.

My S7E says it's wirelessly fast charging even with the screen on. Is this inaccurate?

I fired up Google Maps while on my home wireless fast charger, still said fast charging. I'd really like to get a dock for the car with wireless fast charging support, unfortunately Amazon is littered with wireless car docks that say "fast charging" because it's just their terminology/claim when it's not actually the fast charging spec, so it's very hard to find a true fast charger for the car, beyond what I posted above.
