I have Huawei Ascend P7 L10 B616 with emui 3.0 100% root
PS:
I found the solution
just take Root Explorer or X-plore, and go to
/(Root)/system/media/audio/animationsonds/
and just delete the bootSound.ogg
If you want to replace sound , in this same place you put the chosen sound and rename it to bootSound.ogg
I hope I helped some

Hello buddies,
Today I wanna share a little thing to you.. I always want to change the boot animation of my phone. when I bought Huawei P8 lite I had tried to do so. But I failed because like other previous version of Android (ICS,JB,KK) I didn't find the /media folder in root/system.. That's way flashble zip files of boot animation don't work if you flash them via custom recovery
I searched in google for a solution. I didn't find nothing new there. I also tried some apps like Bootanimation.apk. But the result was same. :crying: :crying:
Finally I solved this problem with my own effort and successfully changed the boot animation..
To change boot animation first of all you must root your device.. if you have a rooted device then download Root Explorer/ Es File Explorer or Something like these.
1. Launch the application which you installed and go to /root folder of your device.
2. Find /cust folder and Click on it.
3. Here you will see some folders. Just click on preinstalled folder.
4. Then go to /public/media folder and you will get a zip named bootanimation.zip. Just delete it or rename it like bootanimation.zip.bak.
5. Now just put your boot animation file in that folder and Reboot your device.
THAT'S ALL
CAUTIONS:
1. Download the boot animation file according to your disply resolution [P8 Lite (ALE-L21) Resolution is 720x1280 ]. Boot animation of other resolution won't work at all.
2. If you download a flashable zip file then extract it and use the bootanimation.zip file which you get inside it.

I extract the downloaded zip file, inside it was already present 'dload' folder, then copied to the root.
I've run the install with the two volumes pressed keys, 15/20 minutes all done.
thanx -qbert- is working perfectly and retail demo remover
Hello,
I just rolled back from nougat to Marshmellow (B181).. But I noticed that some of the default apps of Huawei is missing and themes are not working.
I also tried wipe/ factory reset and install another custom rom (B152 which is oldest I can download) but it didn't work, either.
I have no idea about rooting etc. so whats the easiest solution for p9+ ?
1. Download hw_init.zip > https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24421527759882525
2. Unzip hw_init.zip
3. Copy folder hw_init to /data
4. Reboot
5. Apply themes
6. Enjoy
thank you for your answer. Before doing what you said, I was updating via emui from b152 to b180.
And it's corrected everything automaticly....
Thank you for your answer.

I too had this problem after rollback from VIE-L29 N (C605B354) to M (C636B202) . I was rooted and used root explorer to copy the files. The instructions I followed were similar to the above, but in addition, I had to set the permissions on the contents of /data/hw_init/system/themes to rw-r--r-- and place the theme I wanted to apply in that location. I am not able to successfully add any themes from the usual /HWThemes location, but If I copy the *.hwt file to /data/hw_init/system/themes it works.
-Paul
this is my solution ( made by me ) after trying many solutions over this forum @ other forums
just
1- delete any folder for themes u made (as hw_init or themes in root folder or at any site )
2- make folder & name it ( HWTHemes ) in internal memory
3- download this folder & put it inside (HWTHemes )
4- go to themes app and chose ** Aqua theme ** & apply it
5- no need to change any permissions
this was try on huawei y 7 2017
Hello, I have many doubts that I will numerate so that the answer can be more easy.
Question 1:
I have an Huawei p10 lite updated the other day. Finally i decided to update to Emui 8 (since I heard with it , i could change fonts style again ) ; I think , if i understood right, that to change fonts was possible with this phone by the default app "THEMES" , and this with Emui 4.
Since Emui 5, this option to change fonts disappeared from themes (I guess is this the reason why, when the other day i've instelled an app called "I font" , I changed the font with another one, and it seems it works, but when I tried to change again with some other fonts or return back to my original font, the app says that i should have go to Themes, and change the font from there. But since the option for change fonts don't exist anymore, i could not change fonts anymore too. Also, i noticed that in the app "I font" I could see the preview of many other fonts, but since I apply one of the new fonts, the fonts looks all the same, even if are different, also in the app. suddenly all the fonts looks the same as the font i've downloaded on my mobile, and there's no way to change it anymore. (in the truth i like this font, but i wish to change because it's not so easy to read)
Question2:
At that point, i decided to update, from Emui 5 to Emui 8 , as i heard with android 8 and emui 8, i could again change fonts without roots but by just the official app Themes. So I've updated to Emui 8 with my Huawei p10 lite, but yet, the option to change fonts in themes didn't appeared. I don't know the reason, since I saw many videos on youtube that with emui 8 , they could change fonts again. Why my emui 8 don't permit again to do so? And I also noticed that with Emui 8 it was possible to add the new feature 'night mode' (a real night mode) for the screen, and the white pages became all black and the text became white. It was very useful, but again, after update, this option don't exist as well... im very sad about it...
Question 3:
, what I should do at this point? I wonder if I can downgrade the Emui from 8 to 4.X? Since I really want to change fonts and try many new ones?
Question 4:
Also, where is located the folder "HWThemes"? Because I had also another idea, to keep the Emui 8 and insert manually fonts in the directory HWThemes , by following this tutorial https://forum.xda-developers.com/mate-8/themes-apps/noroot-font-styles-updated-02-09-16-t3453559 (even if these fonts are not what I like most), but for giving a try are ok as well, but i can't find the foulder. It says
1".Download the fonts and rename from .zip to .hwt
2.Copy the hwt file to hwthemes folder in ur internal storage or sd card"
But when I download a zip font "chococooky" there's no .hwt extension, but the file is called DroidSansChinese.ttf .ttf, not .hwt. And the folder dont exist in my huawei with themes..
please can you help me?
Thanks a lot!
Im becaming crazy! The app Ifont says to select a downloaded font and go to folder "iFont/custom directory, but when i connect my huawei to my pc and i navigate on the folders, there's no iFont folder at all! I can't see the folder of the ifont app installed! I'm very stressed.... I waste more than half day just to change fonts to my phone! Its incredible....really!
Im thinking to root my huawei p10 lite. I'm really tired to spend an entire day just to change fonts! How can i root my phone? Thanks for help again..
