When I receive call from my contacts, the name of the caller does not displayed on my watch. But the caller's name appears on my phone.
However, When I receive a missed call notification, the name of the same caller is displayed on my watch.
I tried my watch with other phones. it does the same thing
Do you have the same issues or did I get a defective watch?
Can you please help?
G watch R on lollipo 5.02 and my phone is Samsung galaxy note 4 on lollipop 5.0.1 last update.

It seems like there is an issue with Note 4. I can see the callers name but I cannot see the picture.

Hello World,
One of my Friend brought me an issue with his Galaxy S3 mini. His Phone says or talk the Caller Name "Call from" during incoming calls. I tried to turn off "Driving Mode", "Talk back" and also check some settings on Text to speak options but nothing works. There is no such third part app installed in his phone to generate "Call from" Sound. This is really annoying and If any of you genius guys can help?.

I uninstalled some applications, the issues was caused by either "Contact+" or "Robin". if you have one of these applications or similar, uninstall them.

wife's Moto X is connected to older VW bluetooth which only let's you dial through the phone or pick up incoming calls. That was the reason I got her the Moto x, so the drive assist would announce calls and she could place calls hands free. However, when a call comes in, it just rings, no announcement. When the call is not picked up, the phone then says "missed call from xxx". So drive is working somehow but not all the way. And when the "missed call from xxx" announcement is being spoken (and the screen goes black with the red microphone circle), the phone doesnt react to any voice input.
I upgrade and downgraded the assist app, didnt make any changes. I'm using the "having issues with bluetooth - other audio" option.
Any idea? Thanks a lot!
Have you been into the settings of assist and checked the boxes of the actions you want when you are driving? Also, is your GPS in high accuracy?

yes and yes. Drive assist shows up as symbol in the notification bar. And it runs because missed calls are being announced, just not incoming one's. Wife has replace the stock dialer, not sure if that makes a difference, because when I disabled it it was doing the same.

Thanks. I forgot to mention that I tried to clear cache etc. But reading through the comments from the link above, there are a lot of people having the same issue. I think I'll wait and see if the coming L update will fix things. Sounds like 4.4.4 update broke it for some. And I don't have much time fussing with the phone and car at the same time since it's not mine. But as of now, Assist seems useless and I could just use Google Now for the same functionality.
When i get a call waiting on my device MOTO G 2nd Gen, only number shows and not the name of my saved contact. That is weird and is giving me a lot of trouble.

Hi, I cannot find a way to edit the pre-defined reject call text massages that are shown when a call enters.
Tried to change it in my LG G3 d855 phone but there seem to be no connection between the two.

Looking for the answer of same question, I have a Sony smartwatch 3 though, and changing the replies on my phone doesn't change them on phone.
Just got an 1st version Urbane non-lte last week. OS version is 6.0.1. and I get every notification besides when someone calls the phone. I assumed this watch would alert me of calls (maybe I'm wrong for that). It shows a notification for a missed call, but does nothing while the phone is ringing. Anybody know what could be causing this and how to get that to work?

I was doing factory reset and cannot get CALL notification apart of it everything working good
any solution ?

under BT setting (on watch) need to be thick voice over BT - ON
and call notification is working to me !
