Is it actually possible to root the G Flex D950 on 4.4.2 Kitkat? I've been looking for a solid method for days but I can't seem to find one. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
Have you tried stump root? That's what worked for me when I was on Kit-Kat. You could also downgrade to jelly bean and use ioroot. ioroot is what I used to root my jelly bean install.

Stump root didn't work for me and I don't know how to downgrade safely to JB. Is there a video tutorial out there?
I have a LS995ZVA for Sprint Prepaid, and I used this video to root my phone

Worked flawlessly. Then, followed Playful God's Freedom Flex method for custom recovery, and installed CWM 6.0.5.1.
Hope it helps...

Hi,
Just new here,
I have unlocked the boot loader on my RAZR I today and am planning on rooting tonight using the root tool that can be found on here,
I am just wondering, would I be able to flash a different system version such as orange.gb as I am on retail.gb and then get the jelly bean update? Or is it able to flash jelly bean to my device upon rooting? I'm new to this and don't wanna wreck my phone lol
Cheers to anyone that can help
Hi everyone, My devices AT&T AHD and Runing Jelly Bean. I want root my phone and downgrade to İCS. What is your ideas? Can I downgrade to İCS ? Can it be brick?
Thanks for the answer.
Unfortunately, there's no known way to go back to ICS yet. However there is a root method for JB, check it out: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2143437
After spending countless hours on this website, I've come to the inescapable conclusion that the only way to root an AT&T Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900A) with an OTA install of KitKat 4.4.4 NL1 is to:
install a downgrade to a stock, rooted N900A KitKat 4.4.2 NC2 ROM
then install a stock, rooted N900A KitKat 4.4.4 NL1 ROM
Towelroot and KingoRoot don't seem to support NC2 or NJ5 ROMs from what I understand. Safestrap v3.75 and ODIN v3.10 seem to be the only two ROM flashing tools that will work with all versions of KitKat for the SM-N900A smartphone.
Would someone definitively state for the record what the most direct procedure for rooting a SM-N900A smartphone with an "official" OTA install of KitKat 4.4.4 NL1 is, please?
Thanks in advance and kudos the xdadevelopers for an indispensable web site that is the BEST, period.

Check out Walter.White on this site. Something he has posted might help. ( His post just helped me un-brick my SM-N900A using ODIN 3.9. ,(Thank you, W.W !)
Just realized that I may not even be able to post this...

Unless of course he updated prior to the root method thread created.
In either case, it appears that with the oc4 bootloader you can downgrade to root. Look for the Downgrade lollipop thread.

Could you use odin to flash the stock NDE kernel and then use towelroot to obtain root then flash the 0C4 kernel back ? I used a similar method when i was on 4.4.4 ,any feedback on this, thanks.
