Is there a way to add things to the quicksettings pulldown? I wanna add a sound modes button

Custom rom is the best way. Maybe Xposed in future when it's out of alpha.. Some settings will auto- add to qs after use of the settings but it seems pretty unreliable to me
Gravitybox will allow you to do this pretty easily (as in, it's easy if you can get xposed running on your ROM).
I'm running it flawlessly on hoppySlim. I haven't tried on any of the other ROMs that are supposed to work with xposed or with a stock image.

I wanted to start a thread to give and gather information with the community on what works and doesn't with XPosed framework and Wanam XPosed. Please add any other information on what works and doesn't if you have been able to verify.
So far I've verified a few things work on the T-Mobile Note 4.
XPosed Torch
YouTube AdAway
XPosed Torch
In Wanam XPosed I have verified the following working for me.
Hide SFinder bar
Hid Battery icon
Change/Hide Carrier Label
Enable 4 way reboot menu
Screenshot / Power menu
Fake System Status
Themes (make sure you turn each on that you use)
Disable Secure Storage
Raise SMS and MMS limit
Wanam XPosed Setting that are not Working (that I've tried).
Lockscreen Flashlight
Home button long press
Disable SEAndroid
I have actually removed XTether and gone with Wifi Tether Router, as it seems to be working smoother.
Here a Link for Wifi Tether Router:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.snclab.wifitetherrouter&hl=en
A lot of the theme color changes work, though i can't seem to get the handle to change color when selected (the bar when you pull the notifications open).
The following ones not previously mentioned works for me:
AudioPrivacy
DisableBatteryFullAlert
Network Speed
NotifyClean
Wanam Lockscreen ==> "Turn on screen when unplugged" does not seem to work properly.
"Hide WiFi notification" is not working
I've been playing with the Theme colors this morning and found the little 'ON' button hiding at the top right. I am working out which panel/icon/text is what exactly as it's a little overwhelming trying to do it all at once. I recommend only changing one or two at a time and then rebooting to see how the changes work for you.
Hi. Thanks for this thread. I was wondering if you could modify your OP to include what modules are not working as well and encourage others to verify. This might be useful for checking.
Am using CM11 on a LG Optimus e970. Tried to use hangout and lost mobile network tube killed connection and erased apn settings.

I've been gathering some information on what is and isn't working. I will update the post once I get a few more things confirmed.
Is it possible to add more toggles to the pulldown panel? I'm looking to add the sound, sync, and NFC toggles.
Not without a custom ROM. ?

Not a feature available in stock or custom ROMs yet. Maybe in custom ROMs in the future.

Going to bump this because I too want an nfc toggle (just started using google wallet, so nifty). But I'm really and I mean really surprised no one talks about this or have even tried to implement custom toggles for the quick settings

Many custom ROMs implemented custom toggles.

If you don't want to change Roms only to do that you can also give XPosed Framework a try. I am running the Alpha 2 version at this moment with the Gravitybox module. Gravitybox is out for Lollipop for a week or 2 now. Just checked for you, I can add NFC, Sync and Volume toggles and lots more.
I use Power Toggles with the added bonus that the toggles are reachable from the lock screen.

I use Xposed Alpha 2 with Gravitybox LP and it works great for what you want.

I'm debating on doing this, but should I still do it or just wait for the 5.1 update then do this mod, because I do actually like staying stock this time around
Waiting ain't no fun

Apart from being being rooted, I have stock.
Updating with official updates is fairly easy, though a bit more work.
It works by downloading the update images from the google nexus website. And following this guide (executing a few commands): http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-6/general/guide-flash-factory-images-nexus-6shamu-t2954008
Check under the header 'Method 2 : (Long, but works always)'. Just make sure you skip the step which flashes userdata.img. This will wipe your userdata which you do not want.
Flashing boot.img will make you lose root, but after you can reapply root for that update and it should all still work.
--- UPDATE ---
Nevermind. XPosed doesn't work on 5.1 yet. Developer said it might take some time. See his statement here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=59370883&postcount=5
Just do whatever you like.
So I can't seem to find if this has been solved yet.
Trying out Sixperience/Insanity/etc and the torch toggle from S7 SystemUI works fine.
Now running 6.0.1 touchwiz on a G900F (for NFC, Hotspot and fingerprint).
Not an S7/N5 port, etc.
There's no torch toggle in quick settings.
If I use the S7 SystemUI.apk file, torch works fine, but it stops fingerprint working on the lockscreen and affects some other graphics.
So. Does anyone know how to add the torch toggle to the stock 6.0.1 quick settings?
Not an app, not a widget, not a double-click shortcut; integrated like stock.
Cheers
If you install samsungs "Good Lock" it will replace your systemui with one that includes the torch. The apk is linked somewhere in these forums.

I also would like to integrate torch to MM S5. Is it available trough xposed modules?
I tried Good Lock and there is a torch but missing a lot of other toggles. I' like more stock Samsung UI.

Yeah sad but true, I use good lock purely for the torch. Can't live without torch toggle.. All the other improvements I can live without (though i don't miss any of the toggles it lacks)
I try to add data Togle but it imposible. I can't find how to do it with sdlite editor
My torchlight mode in my xposed module is ready.
I just use the Toolbar toggle.
Xposed is great but i would rather use flashable zip if available or manually if there is easy way with tutorial.

You can't.
The settings.db doesn't exist anymore in Android 6.0.1.
The settings are now in this folder as xml file - data/system/users/0/settings_system.xml
Changing this xml manually resets all the device settings and causes a lot of trouble.

Good lock .apk from apkmirror works with MM
Galaxy tools seems to work with MM to add everything except torch. You can edit the toggles, move them around where you want. All toggles work great. I run that with Xposed and Firefds kit. It goes weeks with no abnormal behaviour, but if you reboot those extra toggles are gone again.
I just put my main ones back at the top. WiFi,location, mobile data, sound, bluetooth. Just flip all the tiles down for the rest.
Maybe someone that's had more sleep than me can figure out how to make it stick.

Lollipop 5.10
Wiko Highwar Star (phone)
Hi guys, hope you can please steer me in the right direction. Am late to the Lollipop party (just upgraded my phone finally to LP 5.10 from KK 4.4.4), and I immediately noticed that my phone has a very bad Quick Settings tiles (the ones that display pulling down up top on the Notification Bar). By bad I mean no flashlight tile and a whole bunch of other tiles that serve me no purpose.
So I rooted the phone, installed custom bootloader, installed Xposed, all for the purpose of installing Gravity Box so to hopefully tailor my Quick Settings to my needs. But unfortunately it seems I am only half successful because I still have two tiles displaying (Smart Standby & W Mode - don't even know what they do) that I can't make disappear using Gravity Box because they are not listed under its settings for Quick Settings Tiles so to uncheck them to make them disappear. I had thought that Gravity Box would only display those tiles that I have checked in its options, but that does not seem to be the case as I have those last two system stock tiles still displaying. So help please... is there a way that I haven't figured out yet in Gravity Box to make these last two tiles disappear even though their names are not in its options to uncheck?
If not, is there a way to make all my Quick Settings Tiles disappear and then use some other Xposed module (or app) to add only the ones I want back in?
Oh I guess I should mention that this phone has no stock option, none whatsover, to alter the Quick Settings Tiles which is why I was resorted to installing Xposed.. Even tapping or long pressing the main Settings button didn't bring up any way to alter the quick settings tiles.
Cheers guys for some guidance
@andyxo, could you specify the Lollipop ROM you're using. GravityBox is designed for mostly vanilla/plain AOSP ROMs. Depending on your ROM GB may or may not be able to do all that you want as stated in the module's various threads.
Maybe copy and paste your post in the GravityBox Lollipop thread. Don't forget to mention your ROM.

Hi, thanks for your post... the ROM is the one that came with my phone (Wiko Highway Star). Ya, I figured that Gravity Box has that limitation but am hoping someone could provide an alternate solution (besides Gravity Box) to getting rid of those last two pesky stock Quick Setting tiles. Such as a different module to totally remove all Lollipop Quick Setting tiles (I don't see such an option in Gravity Box, darn!) , then I could just find an app to add in the ones I want. Or some other solution, one that I haven't thought of yet
So haven't had any luck yet in totally removing all Quick Settings from Lollipop 5.10. I found a 5.0 version of SystemUI Tuner but that didn't do it. Tried various Xposed modules for other phones with the hopes of making it work but nope....
So Lollipop has been around for a long time... am really surprised that there is no Xposed module (or at least one that I have found) that can actually remove all Quick Settings what with all the coders and modders populating the world. If even just for a plain jane Lollipop android that I could try. What am I missing here?
Edit: So it seems I solved my first world problem using an app called Custom Quick Settings. For some reason this app had exactly the two pesky stock toggles I needed to remove from my Quick Settings tiles: Slip cover removed W mode and Smartstandby removed Smart Standby (go figure). For some reason (got lucky) Custom Quick Settings had these toggles turn-off-able while Grav Box doesn't. So am using both apps at the same time because Grav Box has more options relating to Quick Settings while just using Custom Quick Settings to remove those two peskies. So far they are playing well together.... posting this just in case may help someone
Nice find @andyxo. ?
I'll keep that app in mind if I ever come across some stubborn tiles that GravityBox can't handle.

1. Being able to longpress on multitask to switch back and forth, without needing to double tap it.
2. Being able to longpress on back to kill the in-focus app.
I know I had this functionality with some sort of mod a few years ago, but I don't remember how. Would prefer if there's a lightweight magisk module or other mod with a small scope rather than some huge framework and/or a mod that has 300 features (some paid) of which only 2 are the ones I mentioned.
The only one that I know of is GravityBox. It has a section about navbar remapping; sure it also has tons of other features that you might not be interested in but wish there would be a newer option to modify the navbar
