Let me clarify
Stock Lollipop builds have face unlock feature.
Custom roms which require separate gapps files do not seem to support face unlock
Face unlock (which uses the front camera) has nothing to do with "on body detection" that has been recently added as a separate smart lock feature on newer gapps packages, since it uses the on-board accelerometer and gyroscope.
So no, on body detection cant replace face unlock... I am still confused as to why face unlock doesn't work on custom roms
---------- Post added at 12:07 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:01 AM ----------
PS. Face unlock was one of lollipop's key release features (it was present since 4.0.4, but very slow and insecure) that Google showed off in i/o 2014, so your statement that "face unlock doesn't work on lollipop" is absurd.
PPS. Great thread though, I hope you continue maintaining it, then I'll talk to the mods to make this a sticky thread.

The option for face unlock does not appear on custom roms with custom gapps... It works fine on stock 5.1...

I think the source does not have the facelock in it...
That's why the build does not have this feature..
Or may be Google have added something in its firmware to use facelock
Thats not integrated in custom builds...
I have also tried to enable facelock so many times but the feature get installed but foes not aprear in settings
Sorry
Seriously I don't have any idea about this...

Recognized MIUI 7 Port for Nexus 4
INTRODUCTIONHi everybody! Since MIUI ROM is growing more and more every day and it is also winning a lot of followers in this forum, luiseteyo an I, have decided to start a new thread with the official miui.com ROM by Lushengduan. All the credit goes for him, not for us, we are just “the updaters” of this thread, so all the people who like pure MIUI official rom can keep an eye on it without leaving xda-developers. Nothing more to add, enjoy MIUI.
Please, do not post any question without reading the WHOLE second post. Thanks.Yes, that's ugly, but maybe people will do it...

Are you going to modify the ROM?
No, I will update the thread regularly, with all the fixes, al the ideas, news, kernels, and other things that will let the user be in touch with miui.com ROM from xda. 1. Download the ROM
2. Flash a recovery if you don’t have one installed.
3. Make a full wipe from recovery (Cache, Dalvik cache, Data, System) if you come from another ROM or a soft wipe (Cache, Dalvik cache) if you come from an older MIUI version
4. Flash the ROM
5. Flash addons like gapps, modinstaller, other MODS, etc…

What you will need to do is, try re flashing the ota in TWRP(if you use TWRP) and when it fails, you will see a House(Home) a square in the middle, and an arrow(back) at the bottom. Select the square and it will say which patch file failed. You will ned to down the file and replace the current one you have and set perrmissions to 644 and then the OTA will work.
Where is multi language pack ?

Yes, go to settings, press menu and then Wifi Direct
Isn't this the same rom or from same dev?
http://xiaomi.eu/community/threads/3-9-27.22235/
If so, downloads are much quicker for Europe.

Yes, I know, but it isn't the same... this rom is made by lushengduan from www.miui.com
Anyway, check second post, where I will be uploading d-h.st mirrors, which are super fast in europe (I am from spain)
So what's the difference?
There is the MUIUAndroid rom, MIUI rom and one from Datsun that I'm aware of.
Is one official, the others ports?
Thanks.

Introduction:
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion...
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!
Read here for developer application; with this, you can host your unofficial MoKee builds on our server!

It's the same, but apparently this guy here made a thread with the wrong name...it should be MoKee OpenSource, not Mokee OS ...no wonder I can't find it...I check for existing ones before posting...well this thread will be the official one then...he didn't create/involve in it so can't post in original development...but I can......you know why...

Very nice ROM!
Have one problem though...
I checked for OTA Update now. It found something, 2014251033-201401261006-nightly. It downloaded it, and when i clicked to install my phone said it would reboot and do the update. If not I would have to manually do it. Ok, said and done - rebooted tried to update but an error came up. Same thing happens if i manually install the update.
Kernel:3.0.64 mokee g5d4643c mokee @buildbot #1 Sat jan 25
Rom: yesterday's version
recovery: cwm based recovery v 6 .0 47
Error: /system/priv-app/calendarprovider.apk has unexpected contents
E:Error in /storage/sdcard0/mkupdater/ota-mk44.2 - n7000 ....... nightly.zip

Can you tell me what the problem is?
What if I say no? Lol, just kidding...
It could be caused by two reasons:
a) Gapps (/system/app/Provision.apk, /system/app/CalendarProvider.apk etc has unexpected contents.)
b) system files are modified (this includes flashing a custom kernel which replaces system files)
To solve:
1. Format /system (or else old gapps will be restored)
2. Flash full ROM
3. Flash OTA
4. Flash gapps from MoKee Centre
Future updates will be working...unless you are still using a custom kernel, where you must flash back the full ROM or restore the specific files if you know how...

So you may be wondering why there are two Chroma threads in this subforum.
The reason why I build my own build of Chroma is because I am not satisfied with the existing build in XDA, it doesn't have an enforcing SELinux, doesn't have bootanimation included, etc.
I really loved Chroma when I was using a Nexus 4, so I want the same experience that I used to have on that phone, so I would build my ROM as close to the official build as I can.
About the thread, apparently I cannot post my build on the other thread, so I'm creating a new thread to keep you guys updated and discuss about my builds. Hopefully you'd enjoy using my build!

Do you mean /sdcard should be pointing to external sdcard instead of internal? Does it behave like that on Stock ROM? Because I don't have a sprout4 device to test to.
I think I have found a fix for this. But please confirm if what I'm thinking is correct.

There was a bad commit in the CM source. It's been reverted, running new builds now. If you're using a p3113 the 6.12 build works well, if not new downloads will be available this weekend.
I will test the new build soon and provide feedback!
hope it will defeat some roms...
This would be compatible with 10.1 series as well, OP can update?
Everything is working fine for me on p3100 build 6.13

I will look into it. These take between 5 and 13 hours to compile on my old laptop(each), so 2 devices is already a big time commitment. However, I don't plan on building "nightlies", so I'll look into supporting my 10 inch borthers/sisters anyways.

That's great to hear. The 6.13 p3113 build has a nasty bug (as shown above), glad to hear one of them came out.
MOVING FORWARD:
I plan to build these as quickly as I can until it's as stable and bug free as I can get it, after which I'll probably only run updates bi-weekly. I really love this ROM, but it's a pain in the ass to build and I'm working with a very dated computer so please be patient. :good:
Work fine in p5110
Nice work, dude! Thank you for the new rom.
Everything works fine on the P3100.
No problems have been found yet .
I think that the update once a week , it is a good idea .
We are waiting your new builds )
Good luck !!!
Is it possible to overclock this kernel?

I don't believe so, but I haven't tried it myself to know for certain. It's just an unmodified CM13 kernel, so I doubt it, but IF it's possible it would be in "Settings>>Kernel Adiutor>>CPU"
Thanks Dude

I don't see why it wouldn't be. I test with 3.0.0-0 because the newer ROMS build with a device name of "esspresso[wifi/3g]" and 3.0.1+ (afaik) doesnt support the old device names (p31xx) breaking backwards compatibility. 3.0.1+ will install espresso ROMS, 2.9x and older does p3xx ROMS, 3.0.0-0 is the newest 'old' recovery that does both, which I need.
I'll test it against the current TWRP this week.

In both cases I need you to send me a logcat to help you. How to fetch a logcat
Beanstalk and TWRP both have built-in Terminal emulators.
Be sure you did a full wipe of Dalvik, System and Data. And the ROM matches your device, as that's the most common problem.
** edit: I see you worked it out. Hope you enjoy.

I flashed the 20160402 build and Slim Gapps on my p3110 with TWRP 3.0.0.1 and it boots OK. The Rom seems working fine. Back botton kill app don't work and I don't like bootanimaton in landscape mode, but it's cosmetic. Great work. Good to see other options for the old tablet. Thank you so much

Gmail works without any issue, see attached screenshot.
Yes, video recorded via camera are not opening... It should be fixed in future builds. Apart from this I don't have any issue.

Hey hi, nice to see you here....
As you have nandroid backup, do this: Wipe everything except internal storage and then flash ROM, gapps and supersu.
It will work smoothly!
Nitin
Thanks for Rom, one question how about sound quality? I've heard that it is very poorly.

First of all... Thanks buddy for bringing Nougat Custom ROM to our beloved Nexus 4... Truly loving this [emoji7]
@zaclimon brought us first ever daily driver rom & now you developer folks are adding features over it... You all are Amazing guys!!
I can see "volume rocker wake" in screen shots... I was absolutely missing this one from MM rom ..
Wants to try this ROM...But I have 125+ apps already installed so do not want start from scratch (clean) .... So can you tell me below steps will help to keep all apps (data 4.5 gb actually) & only replacing system partition will works for me....
1. Nandroid backup of existing rom (boot + system)
2. Wipe boot, system, dalvik & cache (not Data)
3. Install Nitrogen-os + gapp + super-su
4. Wipe dalvik & cache
5. Reboot
Please suggest....

@nitin.chobhe are you planing on bringing OTA on this ROM as well as on the Android 6 based one. I'm maintaining the two major of my girlfriends parents. Her dad uses Chroma ATM, and her mom Nitrogen as it comes with OTA which she's in need of, as she doesn't know to much about flashing and all that's around. Would be great as I could upgrade her phone next time I'll see her.
I install substratum and Deity theme, after install mods of Deity theme , my device no starts more, why?

This *might* work... But I always preach (and practice) clean flash
Considering the number if apps you have, I would advise you to backup all your apps + app data with titanium backup, flash rom, gapps, SuperSU and restore back the apps...

I'm not sure about this. This depends on the dev (I've just adopted the ROM for mako)....
Having said that I saw the commits related to ota; but no promises and ETA

I have a question: can I flash roms on a optimus g with a shattered screen without working touch? I now have a g5 but I wanna test this on my e975. I have a otg cable and with a usb mouse i can still use my g. TWRP also recognizes the mouse, is there any other thing that doesn't allow usb mouses? I'm now running twrp with nitrogenOS and nitrogenex. Thanks in advance

This is a Nexus 4 ROM. It sure won't work on a LG G5 mate. Search in dedicated device forum if an appropriate ROM is available for your device.
No. Read again . I wanna flash it on my optimus g
