Hello friends,
is there a way to put the "Back-Button" on the right and the "Multi-Tasking" Button on the left side?
I am used to this because of my older Samsung Galaxy S3.
Thank you very much for your replies!

If yes, then you can find this in custom roms or probably there will be an exposed module for it.
Yes, I think that's it. My phone is rooted but i do not want any custom rom to be honest. If I could flash this specific thing that would be great

You'll need to install Xposed and then get the GravityBox module.
Thank you. I'll try it
I tried doing it but I'm too scared bricking my phone.

I don't think you can completely brick your phone just by trying to install Xposed. The most damage you could do to your device would be a soft brick or bootloop, which is easily fixed by doing a NANDroid backup prior to installation and restoring it if something goes wrong.
What he said. I think there was a greater risk in rooting than there is in Xposed.

Allright.
Can someone maybe send me a nice tutorial and the download links? I found a few one's but I don't know what's legit and the right version and stuff.

I can't post links yet :/
But to get to the tutorial I used the thread: [OFFICIAL] Xposed for Lollipop
Keep in mind this is for lollipop, just put the above into the search bar and it should be the first result.
The install process is very easy, all you need is the .zip file and the .apk file.
1. Download both files onto your device,
2. Boot into your custom recovery (e.g. TWRP)
3. (OPTIONAL, but recommended) Carry out a backup of your device
4. Install the .zip file
5. Wipe dalvik/cache
5. Boot device
6. Install .apk file
7. Reboot device
You've installed Xposed!
Now just open the app Xposed Installer, go to downloads and search for 'GravityBox', download and install that, reboot your device, and you're all set. In GravityBox there's an option under 'Navigation bar tweaks' called 'Swap Back and Recents keys'.

-Turn off the phone, reboot into bootloader mode (power+up on the d-pad)
-Look to see which version you have for your bootloader. Then you want to go to http://android.doshaska.net/rootable and download the SBF for your bootloader. This will enable you to root the phone and install a custom recovery called "OpenRecovery".
-Download the latest version of RSD Lite and the latest version of the Motorola USB Drivers. Place your SBF file on the root of the C drive, and rename it to some one letter name like a.sbf
-Put the phone in bootloader mode, launch RSD Lite, plug in the phone and it should appear. Select your SBF and start. If it all passes, your phone should reboot.
-Once that is done, you want to place OpenRecovery on the ROOT of the SD card. I suggest using FuFu's MiniMod. Once that is done, you want to root the phone. Turn the phone off, and hold power+x, when you see the Motorola M, release the keys and hold camera+volume-up instead.
-You are now into recovery. Using the d-pad, select "apply update.zip", you are now loading up OpenRecovery. I recommend you do a Nandroid backup before you root, and you can do another one after you root.
-Reboot the phone, now you should have Root. If it isn't already installed, install Superuser from the Android Market. This will enable you to manage what can use root permissions.
-Download TitaniumBackup (or MyBackupRoot) and backup all of your applications to the SD card. Anything that is on the phone's memory and not on the SD card will be WIPED.
-Download the custom ROM that you want to flash. For CyanogenMod based ROMs, you will need to flash Google Apps as well. Place them both on your SD card, under OpenRecovery/updates
-Once you are sure that everything you want saved is saved, turn off the phone again and reboot into recovery.
-Select the Wipe Menu and wipe dalvik cache, cache partition and then data(in that order)
-Now navigate to Apply Update and flash the ROM you want. When that is done, wipe ONLY the caches again, flash Google Apps if you need to, wipe caches again.
-Navigate to the miscellaneous menu, and select Change Baseband. Choose the baseband for your country/provider, so you can get 3G.
-Reboot the phone, and you will see that it is taking a longer time to reboot, which is normal because you are booting up a new custom ROM for the first time.
I think that sums everything up If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask.

If you're looking for an easy (but non-permanent way) of rooting, try Univeral Androot: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/20401155/UniversalAndroot-1.6.2-beta5.apk
Keep in mind, that root access will be lost upon reboot and has to be activated again

I believe you're mistaken. I rooted my phone using Universal Androot and have to two other Milestones. I'm pretty sure there's an option to choose a temporary root or a permaroot that you would only lose if you reflash a stock SBF.
I know there is such an option - but somewhere I've overheard that a permanent root wouldn't stick to a stock Milestone.
Seems like I was mistaken - but due to this 'misinformation' I never tried to permaroot using UA.

Hi again
I have a question, I got to liking the game Inotia 3 ---
I followed your instructios on rooting and all and I'm satisifed with it...
The deal is the game force closes when I start it. What should I do about it? I used the ROM (CyanogenMod) you suggested.
is there anything that I should do?
btw: super thank you for your instructions... i really like the rom and it's fast

Were you able to play the game before you rooted? If so, then try using zeppelinrox's memory management script called Supercharger(you run it as root in the app "Script Manager")
is this the one? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=991276
Is it right that I have to download the zip file and just put it in the root? and then i own't have to do anything?

I just use the V8 Alpha Milestone version. You place it anywhere on the SD card and browse to it using Script Manager.

No need to use OpenRecovery. All you need to do is download Script Manager from the Market, choose the script on your SD Card, Run as Root and voila!
do you suggest the v8 already? It's only in Alpha while v6 of the supercharger is already in beta

Hi my name is John.
I had a account here before but it seems my account has been deleted.
when i had that account i had allot of info on how to install mods and such.
Now i have a new mobile Xperia V
I am wondering if some know where i can get a tutorial on how to flash my mobile and get mods in it.
I do not want to make my own mod just so u know so im wondering if there is a tutorial on it and if some knows a nice transparent look or something.
I really would like to get the bottom bar with transparent look and with pulsating lights on the icons like the back home and shortcut icons.
I hope some can tip me on some tutorials atleast but it would be even greater if some can say good UI styles to. I would be so thankful if some can help me. i really don't like the neutral look and lac of options in the stock versions..
- Root your phone
- Install Clockworkmod Recovery
- Install Xposed Installer
- Install Gravitybox and get more UI options you ever thought about
That will also help you to learn more about your device first. Afterwards you can still take your time and look around for some other mods that can be flashed or otherwise installed permanent.
Thanks.

So there's none here can help me ?
connect your phone to PC
enable USB debugging on the phone
unzipp the file attached
click on install.bat and follow the simple instructions
Well you must be using a ROM otherwise you could not root your phone. It is the stock ROM I assume. I hope 4.1.2.

You need a ROM that can be flashed via Recovery in the first place. All ROM developers will tell you in their opening thread about the requirements. Some require flashtool, mostly those that work with unlocked bootloaders. Some require a Recovery, usually those that work with locked bootloaders (these work with unlocked BL, too).

The file u attached is called CWM4XperiaT not CWM4XperiaV
and if you don't believe me that you can root with a FTF file then i can upload it so u can test yourself..
how i did it was used flashmod in flashtool and then sellected the ftf file called LT25i_9.1.A.0.490_Nordic.ftf
after that i flashed a kernel with Fastboot called LT25_SXV_Stok_Kernel_9.1.A.0.490_Dogsly.ftf
then i just used the tool root device in flashtool and then i got root..
now my problem is that i dont have any recovery like TWRP or CWM
ive done a new question thread asking for help on how to get it..
Install the CWM attached. Wow. Anyway, up to you.

By installing a custom recovery, TWRP in this case. Then either using ADB from it or the built in file manager within TWRP.

Probably could, but I wouldn't recommend it. Reason being, if you mod system files and something goes wrong, without custom recovery and a backup, you may end up bricked.
1. The google double tap is extremely unreliable and annoying
2. You'll never get an OTA again.

Hello Friends,
I am using Samsung Galaxy SIII (GT-I9300) with Android 4.3. I have rooted my device via Kingoroot. I want to try many Xposed modules but the thing is that I am scared that I will brick my device or cause it to bootloop. Since many users have complained about the same so I am reluctant to try it. What precautions should I take before installing Xposed? And say if I go into bootloop, then how to recover from it and will it delete all the data from the phone?
Thanks

Quite easy: make a nandroid backup first. The easiest way would be through custom recovery. After you have made the backup, you can install Xposed.
For information about how to recover from bootloops, check the S III section here on XDA. There you will most likely also find further information about installing Xposed.
By the way, Kingroot isn't the best app to root your device in my opinion. If possible, I would recommend to switch to SuperSU instead.
You can have your answers in your device's forum... It's where you should start... You have to read before doing anything you're not familiar with... Look for how to return to stock, custom recovey/nandroid backup....

Use this guide to switch from KingRoot to SuperSU. Alternatively, you can use this guide.
The webpage you linked seems to be infected with malicious software. Could you remove it from your post so that others won't click it?
Making a nandroid backup is rather simple: boot into recovery (TWRP is recommended) and click on backup. Then select everything and confirm. Wait until it is finished and you are done. Please make yourself familiar with TWRP and backups before flashing anything.

My dear why do we need to replace KingRoot with SuperSU, as KingRoot seems to do a fine job? Which link should I try the first one or the second one?
And the link which I have posted, I just copied it from some other forum here at xda. Firefox and KAV are giving me a green light for that site, maybe false alarm in your AV.
Regarding nandroid, twrp, custom roms, backup etc. etc. any detailed guide please? As I guess I will have to flash(don't know it's meaning though) my another phone too

Search for Kingroot and why it should be avoided. Quite suspicious things have been reported related to it.
For further information about recovery, backup and more, check the Samsung Galaxy S3 thread here on XDA. There you'll find all information about it.
