[BootAnimation] Nexus 6 Boot Animation Archive Thread - Nexus 6 Themes and Apps

Alright, so I was trying to find some boot animations for my new N6, but couldn't find a dedicated thread. So, I'm going to create this Archive thread. Please, if you have a unique animation and would like to share it, send the file via email to [email protected] and I will host them and place them on here. Please also include original developer's information!! If you see one here that is yours, feel free to message me and let me know; I will update the information.
Thanks devs for all your hard work helping us enjoy our devices!

Rename the original by adding .bak at the end. So it'll look like:
bootanimation.zip.bak
Only flash bootanimation.zip in recovery if stated in OP. If not then you push (force) it in by going into system/media, rename original as stated above, paste the one you want into the media folder and set permissions to rw-r-r.

Yes, but then I did a little "spring cleaning" (in the fall, though, so "fall cleaning"?) and forgot I had this post. I just updated the URL and got the one file I ever got linked properly.

Does anyone have the Moto X boot animation? The links in the thread for it are all dead.

I would like to make my own animation, but don't know how.

[BOOTANIMATION]My custom boot animations (updated Nov 14th)

All you need is to put it in the correct folder depending on your rom. I recommend root explorer to put them in the right place. FYI these dont work as downanimations. You are welcome to mod them as you see fit but.

Since they are boot animations thats why I figured the videos would be better.Even if I post pics I would need to post many to get an idea of the full boot screen.
Ill see what I can do
Yeap,
Boot animations --> animated graphics --> hard to get the idea with some pics.
I just thought that this was the reason that strauts asked for the pics.
Currently downloading them all to check them out

So, after a LONG time without enough free time to do it, I am finally trying to change my boot animation, but it seems I am not able to get rw access to the /system/customize/resource folder using Astro or Terminal Emulator even if my phone is rooted... I guess I would have to remount the partition as rw, but i'd like to avoid that so I wounder if using adb as following would be the right thing to do, or am I missing something?
-adb remount
-adb push bootanimation.zip /system/customize/resource/bootanimation.zip
-adb reboot
Thanks!

I'm not good at adb so may not be of much help but my best recommendation would be to buy root explorer off the market.
Its worth the money and will let you navigate and copy paste and write to system without adb and I can't tell you how simple it has made my life when it comes to bootanimations

Like adding another animation? You would just need to add the pics to the folder and rename all of them since there is more

[SOUNDS][5.0 LOLLIPOP] Flashable

Hey all,
I am simply posting this flashable zip I put together thanks to @dwitherell for the 5.0 vr zip.
I am sure many of you are like me and are sick of flashing roms with KitKat sounds on your new Nexus 6. This should help resolve the issue:
Instructions:
Please flash at your own risk, I am not responsible for any issues. Make a backup first
1. Download an app like root explorer and delete your media folder from /system.
2. Wipe Cache/Dalvik then Flash this zip and you should have 5.0 Lollipop sounds back on your device.
*Note: I included stock 5.0 bootanimation.zip in this as well only because I needed it to get rid of an unwanted custom boot animation.
This will also delete outdated sounds
You can add whatever boot ani you want to this zip in the same location or delete the boot animation from the zip.
Cheers,
Baja
Thank you for your time and giving back to the community. I have a need for just this type of file. Yes, it is easy to do but automating the process it makes it nice and easy.
Bajasur, I can't thank you enough for this! All the Kitkat sounds in all these Lollipop ROMs was driving me crazy!

Hi!
Will this zip run on other CM12 roms or it is better to copy the files manuel to system media, set permissions and reboot? I'm on Note 10.1 p600 running Temasek cm12 unofficial. Thanks for reply!

You most likely should be able to flash it, but I'd highly recommend copying your existing system/media/audio folder to your internal memory, and NOT the root of your internal memory, since your device will try to pull sounds from that new location on boot if you don't create a differently named folder in the of the SD memory folder (ie, make a folder on the internal and name it something like "stock sounds," then place the ones you copied in system into that subfolder).
After you've done the above, extract and push the same-named files from the zip linked in the OP to their respective locations in system/media/audio, fix permissions for each, and reboot. This seems tedious, but it's the more conservative approach.
Good luck!
repack with PA bootanimation
Thank you very much for the flashable zip. I went ahead and repacked it with the PA bootanimation, which is created with a higher framerate but looks the same as stock. You can grab it from my Google Drive: https://docs.google.com/file/d/0Bw-aZKY98vPCSXdDdVdNeDVweWM/edit?usp=docslist_api
(the bootanimation.zip is from the Nexus 9 version, notify me if it doesn't work on smaller screens)

Not really [emoji14]
I figured I would upload it in case someone needed it. It's easy to be the person that messes something up in the build.prop, but instead of having to download the several hundred MB for the stock image (assuming it got deleted after flashing), all a person would have to do is to go to the paste and download it there.
Not everyone on XDA is a master of all Android, and I would guarantee you that someone will download Android M and then modify the build.prop at a time when it isn't very convenient, only to not have the ability to quickly flash it back.

Android Marshmallow 6.0 Boot Animation

Hello all,
I take no credit in this and am sharing it.
It is the Android 6.0 Marshmallow boot animation and is tested with rooted Stock Rom and Unofficial Cyanogenmod 12.1
For those who have a custom recovery feel free to download and flash from here
And here is the preview:
Installed the zip and didn't worked out. Still stock animation. Any other change needs to be done?
Sent from my MotoG3 using Tapatalk
I think it would be a ptiy to remove Motorola's original 'thread's animation, but I have downloaded it and put it on my Elephone, where it's a considerable improvement.
I got the right size from here:

If the stock is still there, you didn't install it. You'll need something like Root Explorer in read/write mode to over write the original, and then set the permissions to 644.
The file is in system/media already... but it seems boot animation is in another folder...
I'm having the same problem. No matter what bootanimation.zip I place in /system/media, it will not change the animation. I've set permissions and everything properly, but every time I reboot it's the old animation with the new file in the directory.
It's not working from /data/local either
As you guys obviously don't know where to look here you go answers are everywhere you just need to look http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=3189872
[MOD] Bootanimation fix
Delete the bootanimation in data/local/moodle
put this animation in system/media
But i believe flashing the zip does this
If you flash the zip and the animation doesn't change, then you need to delete the animation in data/local/moodle then reboot your device
I hope this helps you guys

There's a great website I found for this. bhoot.co.uk. You upload an image or use a URL and it justs works. it also has templates for like every device imaginable. It'll let you choose TWRP/CWM ZIP, just bootanimation.zip, or CMTE APK. Never needed to ask for a boot animation again. Plus if you upload it, you could share it with peeps lol
If you have something better share and wait for comment!
What a lame comment about some one who take the time to write and open a thread and share his work!
