This first one is for ROMs like AICP and it's kernel based on CM sources and second one works for latest CM12.1 and some versions of RR. The second one is based on stock Samsung sources and it means that it'll work faster better and stabler

All of the AOSP ROMs are running an AOSP kernel. Else they wouldn't work. I do not believe there is an independant, flashable kernel for m7wls.

Yeah, all AOSP builds have their own AOSP kernel.
I've read a lot on forums but I can't find a consistent answer.
There are any custom kernel for CM11 on S Advance. I'm quite satisfied with CM11 kernel, but some optimizations are welcome, y'a know...

In latest CM11 there is custom kernel (and in the ones before). It has stuff from CoCore.
You can read its thread, y'a know.

It has OC too, like CoCore. But it is not stable, on performance governor it is.

Well, I saw in performance options that the max clock is 1000 MHz, and it has some governors. But at the stock clock the system is fast and smooth, a lot different from the stock JB from Samsung (anyway, I hate that Touchwiz UI).
I'm waiting a CM11 version to my Xperia L too, and I'll see the difference in the two systems.

FPBug: Meet the very first stable kernel for the Galaxy S2 i9100, S2 AT&T i777, S2 Epic 4G Touch d710 and Note n7000 since Gingerbread days
Every single Android 4.x kernel for these devices has had a serious bug (FPBug) that randomly corrupts the state of processes, starting with Samsungs's stock ICS and JB and spanning every custom kernel out there newer than Gingerbread.
Please refer to the main thread for details.

@Lanchon thank you soooo much for all of your hard work for our device even tho you don't even own them!
Hope this is not rude, but may I ask if you plan on releasing a kernel (or kernels) for non-CM-based ROMs? Or are you planning to let them devs themselves merge the fix, and only release CM kernels?
Sorry if this was rude, please ignore me or sth if it was.
Once again, thank you for all or your hard work.
Wow thanks
Does FPBug related somehow to kitkat overheating and random reboots?

Yep, I'm cooking something right now for Touchwiz and AOSP. The fix seems to be working well, tested with the detector.

Lunchon, if i may, a paired request Could you make a TRIM + FPbug kernel, for LP ?
Wow! You're a hero, been using your kernel only for 24h, but no problems yet. One question tough, can i switch to the ART runtime when using your kernel, or should i stay on dalvik?

By lp he means android 5.0 overall. Not specific rom. Are you able to prepare lollipop kernel for community?

the fpbug should be integrated in cm soon. so i think official cm will be fixed long before cm12 is released.

Just switched to SlimSaber, i don't like CM. The developer included the FPbug fix and it runs great with ART.
Flashable fix for call audio that is kernel independent and will patch International based ROMS to work on your T/W8 variant.
You still need a kernel that is T/W8 compatible flashed for this patch to work.
Suport Android 6.0.1
Download : https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24562946973630969
This patch can also be implemented by ROM builders who wish to build a F based rom for their T or W8 devices Just remember to give credit where it is due. This was a bigger pain in the butt to track down then it appears :good::good:
Thank you!!
Can i use this with noble Rom, the s7 port?
Thank you!! Finally some Canadian love. Does this open up other Roms to us?

Did it somehow changed the arch of your phone? I remember flashing this first and then xposed but it failed when flashing an f variant ROM due to the architecture change.

This flash zip only patches the ROM, not the kernel as stated in the op. XtreStoLite already works with the w8/T variants, no other kernel is compatible with our device except the sickness kernel.
My bad, thought it was supposed to patch the kernel like back in the 5.1.1 days
so no good?
So its not working?

I was never the case. This patch is for ROM, you still need a T-W8 compatible kernel.
Arter use to support these models, not anymore.
