I can only install through xperia flashtool
I have tried all the firmwares on xda developers for 195 latest release inwhich does not install. I can only put the 02 firmware 303 back on ok bot there is a camera video noise in the background
This is strange can anybody help me

There is no OTA update yet,
One reason it may not mwork via sues and pccompanion is that the update has not been released for your specific firmware yet. EDIT (Unlocked bootloader=no update via official methods)
The reason why you can only instal one version of the .195 ftf's via flashtool is strange though. I would suggest you redownload them and try again.
Thanks I will try to update again maybe bad files

My Problem again
Just format your internal and external memory if you have one, remove your SIM card and update using flashtool again.
Don't forget to backup first
You can't use PCC or SUS as you unlocked your bootloader.
Thanks I will try your solution now
Also I have gound another problem that youvfant move data for internal storage to external sd like other phones zd box wont see ext sd card just phones storage bulit in. Strange
Cheers

i dont know that app, but with most apps of that ilk there ahould be an option to add a seconday folder...
Hi thanks for your reply. I am having problems with mame4all app moving the Roms from my 64gb sd card to the devices memory to work with this app. This is the only problem I have with the device memory I had no problems with my Xperia play as it found the extra memory and used it almost automatically without moving any files
Strange that the t cannot see the external memory sd card as part of the main memory maybe Sony will have to address this issue as I am duplicating files to get gaming Roms to work.
Thanks

Is the issue that you havent installed link2sd or something similar in order for the phone to see the data partition on the external memory
Hi
I have tried number of apps. Still can't get the device to see the 64gb sd card as a install location apart from its built inn memory
Maybe it is the sd card I don't know until a try another one 32gb instead
I after this messing around I think I may go back to my Xperia play as it is robust I like the Xperia t though I am in two minds after selling my htc one x for the Xperia t shame
Thanks guys
The specs for the phone say it does not recognise a 64 GB card, but some people who have formatted the card to ext4 have said it works

Thanks. I will give this a try tonite format to ext4.
I can't really fault the phone as I had an HTC one x sold this and now an Xperia play which I have now sold. I least we can expand these

Hello,
As the topic says, somehow all my camera photos are missing from the internal memory of my Xperia Z (10.3.1.A.0.244). I don't know how this happened, either it happened spontaneously after video recording or I did it accidentally when I tried to remove a different folder when connected to a Mac (im not used to Macs).
I am trying to find a way to restore the deleted files, but it only appears in Win as a MTP device, which can not be detected by recovery softwares.
It seems like the only way out is rooting the phone before I can restore any file according to this guide. However to root my Xperia Z I first have to flash it according to this thread. If I flash it, will I still be able to recover any information from it, such as my lost photos?
Would be very grateful for any advice!!
Hello, i have an xperia z c6606 rooted 10.3.1.E.0.191 firmware 4.2.2 jellybean and my company is tmobile.
its the water resistant xperia phone so i cannot open the phone, its just abunch of slots on the sides. i dont have a micro sd card but it supports it (if a sd card can help my problem) o and my bootloader is locked
so thats all the information i know about the phone. heres my problem.
i used the "Font Installer ★ Root ★" application from the google play store.
i tried to install dark wedding font and it asked me to restart. after i did i just get the loop reboot where it shows the sony logo then xperia logo then redoes the boot again. im pretty sure it ruined my font folder and made it so i cant start but im not sure on what to do to try to fix it. im new to android and used the kingo one click root so i dont have exact insider knowledge on what to do.
i searched google for answer but either they are outdated (links dont work) or they mention other things in which i cannot figure out what to do.
i have a flash tool from d-h.st/Kb8 (thats a url)
and downloaded a stock rom from forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2511188
the rom is a ftf file and i have no clue what to do with it :3
If anyone could help it will be much appreciated.
(my computer runs ubuntu 12.4/windows 8 incase my computer is needed)
p.s. yes flashtool and rom is on my computer. blah
i just half ashed what i was doing a yolo'ed it and used the flash tool and tried to flash the rom onto my phone while in flash mode. it put the rom on and removed all my stuff which i dont mind. i just have to make sure my phone is fully functional. if not. ill edit this post.
Yup all fixed. sorry for wasting room on the forum. i really was lost. but i yolo'ed and BOOM yolo is the key to all lifes problems.

You can try this.
You will need root access for it and usb debugging enabled
Tried it. But with trial version of software you can only preview lost data and the full version is too expensive :/
i used cwm to wipe my phone but i did not flash it with rom instead i rebooted the phone & now it's stock on the Sony logo. please help this is not even my phone
i did try to use flashtool to flash stock tft but unknown sources & debugging must be enabled but the phone is stuck on the Sony logo so i can't even enable these settings. please if you can help then do,thanks very much
the phone's boot loader is locked by O2 & i had lollipop for LBL installed but it was getting very laggy so i tried to install another rom when i then messed up everything !!
1.Flashtool needs USB Debugging for Rooting ur Device, not Flashing
So don't worry about it, go for flashing
2.In Case u Wipe Entire Phone I.e.System, Data, Cache then the Phone won't skip the Boot Logo
According to me, the Recovery should b Accessible, So flash any ROM present in the Storage (if its urgent for u to have the phone working)
OR
Use Flashtool, it will help you recovering ur Phone
Go for the Flash tool method, read the Procedure Carefully
Good Luck

i managed to do it ,windows 10 64bit did not work so i booted to 2nd partition with win 7 32bit this also gave me lots of trouble for 2 hours but closing the flashtool app & disconnecting the phone few times & just as i was about to give up it's started to flash stock jellybean 4.1.2 & now the phone is working & currently the sony Companion app is updating it i think to 4.3 jelly bean. i will not mess no more with this phone, lollipop for LBL is a no go & because O2 locked the bootloader i will just keep it the way it is & just customise it with smart launcher & lock screen. thanks very much for your comment as it would have made me not give up & try again tomorrow. i appreciate it

I assume that you have tried the RR (5.0.2) LBL Bug-Fixed by Skulltus, if not then give it a try since LBL Users are finding it somewhat stable...
Reasons why Phone wasn't getting detected can be:-
>Improper Downloading of File - Make sure you don't Pause and Resume the Downloads too many times, so that it becomes corrupt
>Wire-- Use a Sony USB Cable only or a Good one ( i use Samsung's Cable for the Timebeing) -- Improper wires can be a reason why the Phone can't get detected by The PC...
>Try Another USB Port to Connect the Phone if it doesn't get detected by one...
These things happened with me Many times, Just Sharing it
Happy Flashing :good:

i have installed skultus bugfree 5.0.2 last night & it kept throwing a constant error (system UI crashed) i wasn't able to use the phone because this error when i hit ok it will comeback instantly so i thought it's not compatible, maybe i got the error because installation says ((1. Make you sure your device is LBL with .207 stock kernel, )) but my stock kernel is not 207 the firmware version ends with 205 , i have tried the sony companion to update but it said latest firmware is already installed. what do you think about this ?

i know about rooting & flashing roms in zip format via recovery but yes i'm new to installing roms & kernels via the flashtool & not a big fan of it either.
Hey, I'm in pretty much the same situation here, except I am having a few problems which are keeping me from going back to the stock firmware.
1) The phone keeps restarting when it's in flashmode - meaning it's sitting there for 30 seconds or so with flashmode and the green light, and then disconnects and turns back on into flashmode. This is keeping me from being able to flash anything because the device disconnects through the process.
(Yes, I did try reinstalling the programs, updating drivers, restarting computer, using a different usb port/cable etc)
2) I did manage to make it stay connected somehow last night BUT flashtool would give me errors involving .sin's of some kind. I could get past all this by flashing the stock firmware using "repair my phone/tablet" in Sony PC Companion, which I have done twice before so I can confirm it works - but for some bizarre reason the software started saying that there is no firmware available for my device!
Please help!
2->If you have already flashed A Firmware via Flashtool and u want to perform another,
then you have to RESTART it (the App) Otherwise it will show
Unable to Flash "System.sin" as you said
1-->I guess Flash Mode has A Time limit to get connected with the PC, if not then definitely its the wire Problem...Wires should be in good condition

I didn't try the LBL ROM since I Unlocked the Bootloader but still,
In All ROMs when I install an app from the SD Card, they get vanished on rebooting.... It reads the SD Card and the App Appears
I guess there's a "Move to Phone" Option in it, try doing that for those apps installed in SD Card
There should be an Option of-
"Preferred Install Location" either in
--Settings->Apps(Select the Menu)>Preferred Install Location
OR
--Settings->Storage->Preferred Install Location
Default Option can be "Let the System Decide"
Change it to Internal Storage

ok but this means all apps will be installed to the internal memory & one of the reasons why i wanted lollipop is the ability to install some apps to SD . i just need to fix this write to SD issue & i will be good to go.
