Hey all, I am having trouble transferring appdata from one of my apps from my Kindle Fire hd (3rd gen) to my new Samsung galaxy note 10.1. The kindle is not able to be rooted, but the Samsung galaxy is currently rooted. I have tried using Helium to backup my data to my computer then transfer over to my Samsung but the kindle isn't recognized by the PC app. I have over 2 years of progress on this app and really don't want to start over. Is there a way to transfer my app data from my Kindle to the Note 10.1? Thank you for your time

Galaxy Tab 10.1 - Device not recognised
Hi,
I have the same issue, I am running Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. This all worked last week and now it is simply not recognised. I have uninstalled all of the drivers and re-installed them again but with no luck. I am wondering if MS has pushed another dodgy update again! The Tab is at 3.1 and is rooted... does anyone have an idea why this is happening?

Umm, Im pretty sure this is the Galaxy Tab 7" section. You just might get help if you post in the correct location.

It's not their fault that this forum is unclearly titled, and you could be a little more helpful too.
Here's the correct forum for your posts...

Edit: I've asked a mod to consider renaming the Galaxy Tab forums to something else like Galaxy Tab 7.0", like the 10" one does, to avoid further confusion.
Make sure the USB Debugging option in Applications is DISABLED. I get consistent detection as usb storage already since I turned that off.
I'm trying to find a way to use my Iphone 4 data plan (3G) on my Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 (Wi-Fi Only) through the USB cable/adapter but no luck so far.
I'm currently using the ROM Task Rom 9.0 on the tablet so Ad-Hoc is enable and I've been able to tether to the Iphone through Wi-Fi, however it drains my phone's battery pretty quickly.
I do have the Samsung USB adapter but when the Iphone is connected to the GT it only allows me to copy photos. It doesn't recognize the USB tethering.
Does anyone have any tip or advise???
I guess the same procedure could be applied to any cellphone regardless of the OS.

Note that this is the ORIGINAL 7" Tab section - you might have better luck in the 10.1 Tab section.
Other than that can't help sorry
I hadn't noticed sorry.
Thanks anyway.
I have a Kindle Fire HD that was just delivered today. I'd like to be able to upload files from a usb sd card reader/usb storage device like pictures from my camera without using a desktop or laptop. I realize this is not natively possible with the Kindle Fire HD because usb host mode is not available, but I was wondering now that people have figured out how to root the device, if that changes things and whether that will allow me to install or modify software on it to allow the use a usb storage device on this? Thanks.
Hi there I'm thinking of getting the kindle fire hd, but I really need to know if you can load or side load tvcatchup,
Thank you
Hi guys,
Wanted to ask you guys, Is there ANY way i could connect a 3G USB stick to my kindle fire HD
I've bought the Huawei E355 and i use wifi to connect it to the Kindle. The Stick works as a wifi-Hotspot and doesn't need a pc or notebook, only a power-source is necessary. I use 4 AAA-Cells.
