[Q] Connect Kindle Fire HD to a 3G USB STICK? possible?

Hi guys,
Wanted to ask you guys, Is there ANY way i could connect a 3G USB stick to my kindle fire HD
I've bought the Huawei E355 and i use wifi to connect it to the Kindle. The Stick works as a wifi-Hotspot and doesn't need a pc or notebook, only a power-source is necessary. I use 4 AAA-Cells.

The original fire (I believe) had the ability to utilize USB OTG, but the newer ones (HD, hdx) can not. This is no doubt a restriction set in place by Amazon. :/
As to your question about Bluetooth mice, I have not personally tried them, but hopefully someone else here has.
Pretty sure I tried a Bluetooth mouse and keyboard a while back and it worked... The kfhd will never support otg it lacks the power out so it is a hardware problem.

[Q] Appdata transfer from Kindle to Note 10.1

Hey all, I am having trouble transferring appdata from one of my apps from my Kindle Fire hd (3rd gen) to my new Samsung galaxy note 10.1. The kindle is not able to be rooted, but the Samsung galaxy is currently rooted. I have tried using Helium to backup my data to my computer then transfer over to my Samsung but the kindle isn't recognized by the PC app. I have over 2 years of progress on this app and really don't want to start over. Is there a way to transfer my app data from my Kindle to the Note 10.1? Thank you for your time

How to change build.prop without rooting (Fire 7 tablet, 5th gen)

Hey there,
I am really stuck with the Amazon Fire Tablet. Since Amazon is giving them away for around 30 EUR I thought that might make an excellent remote for my TV. The idea is, that I stream everything via my Chromecast.
It works fine wit Plex and other Apps. Only Netflix seems not to support Chromecast when it runs on any Amazon device. I read somewhere here, that the netflix app checks the name of the device in the build.prop and if it figures out it is an Amazon device it will not offer Chromecast as an option.
My problem is, that I am on Fire OS 5.3.2.1, and as far as I know this version cannot be rooted.
Does anyone know a way how to change the name of the device in the build.prop without rooting the device?
Or is there perhaps another way to get Netflix and Chromecast running on the Fire Tablet?
Many thanks
Ilja

Chromecast operation has been problematic under FireOS regardless of root status. I seriously doubt changing device identifers in build.prop will resolve issue nor 'fool' the Netflix app into believing it is running on a different device type. That type of simplistic shroud rarely works as obtaining the true device identity is relatively easy.

ROM with screen casting for 7'' Kindle Fire HD?

I have an old 7'' Kindle Fire HD (serial D025, FireOS 7.5.1) I haven't used in ages, I charged it and I found I had already rooted it and have TWRP 2.8.3.0 on it. I wanted to try and use it with a Chromecast, so I searched for an android ROM, and found CyanogenMod 13 (cm-13.0-20160214-UNOFFICIAL-tate.zip + open_gapps-arm-6.0-mini-20151206.zip), I flashed it and it worked pretty well, much better than the original OS.
I installed Google Home (I think it asked me to install Google Services too which I did), the app runs fine, but when I click "Cast my screen", the TV turns black, I can control the volume from the tablet for a few seconds, and then it disconnects with the error "Casting screen to TV has ended" and the TV shows a chromecast error saying something like "Connection lost". I also tried "Settings > Device > Display & lights > Cast" with the same results.
Any workaround or other ROMs I could try to get screen casting working?
I tried crDroidAndroid-7.1.2-20181021-tate-v3.8.9.zip and screen casting works but pretty laggy, not usable for videos, the entire OS is quite sluggish compared to CM.
Any other ROMs I could try?
