Hello,
I've seen post about VZW and Tmobile how to enable it without the plan. Does anyone know how for AT&T? I assume that it would be like Tmobile.
Thanks

No way to get 3g on Att if it has the T-mobile 3g radio...
You can use it on Att easily (even without rooting) by just signing up for a plan and popping in a sim card into the Nexus... but you will only get Edge data + your voice/text.
I would REALLY advise against switching since you wont be able to get 3g and Att just capped their data plans at 2gb/mo
cool, thanks for the info, how about vodafone sim card? i have a cousin that wants to use it with vodafone but dont know if it will work.

yes it will work with vodaphone just fine, 3g and all.
I searched the form and haven't found anything regarding this. I'm a bit shocked since you can do this with the S3 and S4.
Do we know yet if and when we'll be able to enable AWS bands on the AT&T Note 3 so all variances of 3G, 4G, and LTE would be used if you were to insert a T-Mobile sim card?
If I unlock the AT&T Note 3 and insert a T-Mobile sim card, I would only get LTE and "4G" where they have refarmed their network, correct? Everywhere else would be the Edge network? This is what I'm trying to avoid, thus asking about the AWS.
Thanks!

Good question. Maybe you can ask the dev over in the S4 forums about it and make sure to mention that you have obtained root access. His method might work the same but doesn't hurt to ask.
I've been looking for an answer to this as well since AT&T devices run cheaper than T-Mobile devices. I've used an AT&T Note 2 on T-Mobile with that method (the method was discovered on that device) and am currently using an AT&T S4 with my T-Mobile $30 plan with no issues.
so does anyone know a method to enable the AWS bands on AT&T note 3. This it the only post about it
So far doesn't look like it :crying:
Stinks too because I just bought the Note 3 for T-Mobile off of eBay for full price! and selling my S4. Will probably still have to pitch in $300 or more.
I was really hoping to find something, because I know of a loop hole in AT&T's system that allows me to get any phone at the discounted price, and then I cancel the next day without getting a early termination fee. This is how I've gotten my last 3 phones without having to pay full price. Now that I'm with T-Mobile, I will only be able to do this if I can get the phone from AT&T and then unlock T-Mobile's frequency band(s)
We need someone to make a QPST backup from a T-Mobile model and zero out the IMEI in the QCN file (or put the AT&T device's IMEI into it). Then restore that backup onto an AT&T Note 3.

Has anyone asked anybody in the T-mobile note 3 forum?
I just asked on another forum. Waiting to hear back. Still need someone who's feeling lucky to flash it though.

stop it already.....that is for the note 2!
I just went from my AT&T S4 to a T-Mobile Note 3. If someone can tell me how to remove my IMEI/any other identifying information from the QCN file that I can make, I'll post it here for people to try.

ESN doesn't need to match. But stop trying to flash a Note 2's modem NVRAM backup onto a Note 3. You guys are asking for a brick.
Any luck or possible solution?? i have no network inside my office for ATT so i switched to TMob..but still no network..
My friend on TMob getting network on Iphone
Like I said, I can provide you guys with the QCN file if someone can tell me how to get my IMEI out of it (so my IMEI number isn't written to your phones).
READ: I CURRENTLY HAVE AND AM USING A T-MOBILE NOTE 3.

Hi, My friend Joined Boost Mobile and they gave him an HTC One. He is not happy with Boost and is going to change carriers. He wants to know if he can flash his phone for another carrier like Sprint or Verizon or ATT or T-mobile or is he better off selling the phone on Ebay and getting a phone through his new carrier?
Thanks for any input you can give.

When we talked about this, he said the phone doesn't have a sim. I have no idea if thats true or not. I texted him to double check. He got the phone from Boost when he signed up with them.

Looks like a Sprint variant/owned by Sprint, don't know how they operate, so cannot help you. You might wanna check the HTC One Sprint section if anybody knows: http://forum.xda-developers.com/sprint-htc-one

Thanks Bud, Great info! So it looks like he has a HTC One SV interesting! The hunt continues!
Before I screw up my phone I have a couple of questions. I have a SGH-I537 running 4.2.2 MF3. First off I don't have AT&T anymore. I have H2O wireless. Wanted to know if that made a difference first off. If it does is there still a way for me to root my phone? I would also like to know if there is a way for me to update to kitkat? Thank you, this is the best site.

Please search before posting. All of this information can be found in the i537 Firmware Thread.
I read it and didnt see anything about having H2O wireless. They were all for AT&T or T-Mobile or overseas carriers. can I just do it like I have AT&T?

Yes.
I purchased a used Note 8 that was bought from Sprint. I had it unlocked and would like to use it on the Cricket network. It will not recognize the Sim card. ..
Did I do something wrong or will this simply not work?? I have been told both... but not by people in the "know".
Any advise/help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Mike

Cricket carries the note 8 so it will work on their network. You probably need to flash the non carrier firmware.

Thanks for the reply! I'm not sure I have the know how to competently do that.
Oes anyone offer a service (preferably remote) Tha could do this? What would I expect to pay for this service??
sounds like it wasn't unlocked
Are you sure its paid off and unlocked? Have you double checked to make sure the IMEI is good?
