I have installed this ROM, looks good.
But how do I change default SIM? Currently after installation, I have second SIM active, and first is muted.
Is that possible to switch between SIMs?
Waiting for back camera and second SIM works.

High-brightness screen display mode doesn't exist in this rome (I didn't found how to enable).
Is that possible to add high-brightness screen display mode as in 4.4.2?

I gave up G800H, went to MotoG 2015 (XT1543). It's an awesome device, with stable TWRP and CM 12.1 solutions provided. Will stick to it for a long time.

looks interesting

I think Galaxy S5 mini is still one of the best dual sim phones, at least the best I could find. Super expensive big phones and really cheap phones are not interesting to me. I even got a second S5 mini duos for my wife last week, hoping for that 5.1.1 android update to land really soon ... or get one of the custom ROMs if they work well.
Rather than the blisspop ROM I would love to have this ROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/gal...lopment/rom-cyanogenmod-12-1-s5-mini-t3105617 - so the rear camera is not working at all? Is dual sim working properly in respect to getting calls from both cards?

Development Progress?

When is development for the device going to pick up? There's not much out there! I know it just came out but I expected more. I installed the Sky high Kernel after I rooted and I really like it. I have my A15 cores overclocked to 2.1GHz and have all cores undervolted, as well as overclocked the GPU and the device is totally stable!! My only issue with root/SkyHigh kernel (not sure which is the issue) is that my screen mirroring does not work. It will try to connect and say hardware issue. Anyways, everyone just post your thoughts, opinions and such about the device and development. I'd love to hear ideas and info out there. This device is AmAzInG!
Yep the 8.4 got a kernel but nary a peep on any rom activity. I think the problem is that most developers that wanted a high res tab like this already bought the Pro model and are not upgrading to the S.
I'm waiting on someone to port CM over so I can go pure Android and get rid of this excessive Touchwiz javascript lag on pageloads. For that I'd happily give up the gimmicky stuff like split screen that I rarely use anyway.

Why not? The Tab Pro line has CM.
There will be more development when we have a working recovery. No one really wants to drop mods if there's no way to flash them. Hopefully Team Win will read my email.

Cyanogenmod on the note 4 snapdragon

Hi Guys ! Is somebody already trying to boot Cyanogenmod ? I'm a reverse engineer, have done quite a bit of development work on CM11 for the S4 I9500 and just ordered my Note 4 snapdragon and planning to run and optimize CM12 on our Snapdragon Note 4

Yes, I'm hoping more developers will switch to this device and will start working on booting and running CM as smooth as possible. I just ordered my note 4 yesterday, I still have to wait 2 weeks to receive my device (I don't live in a snapdragon country), hoping to work together with some other devs but if not, going to give booting CM myself a try and will update and report here for sure !
I'm new to the Note line so I have a question. Does the S-Pen work (just work, non of the fancy features) with custom Roms or do devs need to optimize it?
I would love to see it running Lollipop.
Patience... is the key. It will happen.

The spen will work on any rom but samsung specific apps like snote will only work on samsung based roms. On cm based roms there are alternative apps like papyrus and on the note 2 there were specific spen apps made for cm roms so guess the same thing will probably happen on the n4

"This forum is intended for XDA members to find or discuss development on the Galaxy Note 4, including ROMs, kernels, rooting, mods and much more, specifically for the Qualcomm Snapdragon variant of the Note 4."
Sounds like the right place to me.
Anyway on topic: here's the general porting method: http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Doc:_porting_intro and here the samsung code: http://opensource.samsung.com/reception/receptionSub.do?method=sub&sub=F&searchValue=910f
Unfortunately going by what Samsung released previously, we'll need code directly from Qualcomm, did anybody find chipset code for the 805 already ?
And here's the Lollipop Nexus 6 (of course also running snapdragon 805) code:
http://www.xda-developers.com/android/android-lollipop-source-pushed-to-aosp/
Oh and also found this thread, should be helpful to get a start: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2532873
Anyway, getting my device in 2 weeks, hopefully around that time CM12 will be released too, mabye we should wait for that anyway, but I wanted to start this thread already to function as a knowledge sharing thread regarding getting cyanogenmod running on the Note 4. Going to do some digging in the sources codes already and see what's there and what's missing.

Sorry but I really miss your point man. This is development and most importantly, this is Snapdragon: this thread has really not much to do with Exynos (which most likely will never even run CM12, at least not in the next year), so I really don't see in which forum it would be more ontopic than this one. If you disagree, let me know in which forum you feel it should be posted in and why and if it makes sense, I'll ask the mod, but again, I really don't see it.

Is there ever going to be an official Cyanogen ROM?

Just saying, the Z1 did have one, what's the delay on the Z2 and Z2pro?
I think is not get official support. I don't know why, because this phone have awesome good spec.
Yeah I honestly expected this phone to become a scene favorite and instead it barely gets any support
That's my only criticism about this phone, that it has no official CyanogenMod support. All my previous phones (Moto G, OnePlus One and LG G4) came with official CM support, but the ZUK Z2 doesn't not. I thought it would be okay by relying on community builds instead, but updates are few and far between with these builds. There seems to be some development for the Z2 ongoing over at the Lenovo Mobile forums, but it is all in Chinese and Google Translate does not do much to make it more legible.

Not just CM but I don't see it gets any official support from any other ROMs
Its really weird, it has a 820 and pretty good specs, I don't get why its so difficult to get a good reliable aosp ROM for it
First to answer your original question. Because zuk had a contract with CM so z1 had Cyanogen OS and thus the open source CyanogenMod was a bonus so to say. Also we do have official CM in the face of MoKee. With some neat added features aswell. Just hoping they continue supporting the device with Nougat aswell
P.S. I have read in some post that MoKee has lots of chinese bloatware which aside from the Pinyin input seems to be incorrect.

Zui.is also based at least to some. degree on Cyanogen mod. E.g. they are using the cm theme engine, they have only hidden the launch icon. Idk what else is from cm since I removed Zui after one hour.
The incredible lack of support in the form of Roms and accessories are stopping me from buy this phone. The specs and 4G band support are perfect for me, but i dont what to stuck with a phone who even Zuk does not care..

Android 8 for SM-G900F

Hi to all SM-G900F fans and for all developers!
I'd like to introduce this topic to discuss about the possibility of the Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F to have the new Android 8. Knowing about some amazing improvements that were made to the new Android 8 that will arrive soon, I'd like to know the following:
[ALL FANS] - What do you think about our S5 SM-G900F having an Android 8 ROM? With a booting time cut in half, with app performance increased in double, with drivers available to update, etc.? If that will be possible to the developers apply to the S5 SM-G900F, it would be great or not?
[ALL DEVELOPERS] - What do you think about the idea of creating an Android 8 ROM for a great 2014 phone? It will be possible to do that with all improvements that were claimed for the new Android 8? It will worth that huge effort?
As you can see I love this phone, no doubt about that. But, my wish is to have my Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900F running Android 8 with all those features that were claimed to have in the new Android OS. If that can be possible, I think it would be amazing for this phone! Because I think the hardware is still good to support newer software and it would be very nice to see an excellent quality/price phone like this to match new ones.
I hope my wish can became true. . .please do not let this phone R.I.P!

"booting time cut in half, with app performance increased in double, with drivers available to update" Idk if it is possible, but it will be quite hard. If android 8 will come out, we developers WILL DO OUR BEST to get the best out of the s5. Yeah, you're absolutely right and I apologize for my behavior. I was only excited about that I just decided to try to share my feelings and thoughts with the XDA Community. I love XDA Developers. It teached me so much about everything related to Android over the years. However, I must follow all the rules and have a good behavior so please feel free to remove/delete this thread.
Once again, I'm sorry for having opened this thread. Just a BIG "thank you" to all developers for the hard work they always do and for all members that share doubts and solutions for everything related to Android.
Best regards,

It's alright to discuss about such things, but never push devs beyond what they can do. You simply show disrespect and it's one of the main reasons why devs give up creating something new.
Regarding Android 8 (Android O), I don't think it's going to be an easy task to port it to our device. At first, on Nougat was hard enough to make everything working (camera being one of the main highlights, since N has a completely revamped camera interface under the hood, like different process handling and stuff). I can't imagine, what O actually brings to the table and in no way it's going be a walk in the park.
And neither battery life nor camera is going to be as good as stock. Blame Samsung and Touchwiz for their closed source nature.
Even if it happens, camera will still suck. Why flash something that makes your phone worst and unstable, just to say that you have the latest android version in "phone about"
I don't know why you are so hyped about it, it has really small changes since Lollipop...

Of course not. It's about to have all the NEW features in your OLD phone (if possible, of course). I think there are several phones (like the Samsung Galaxy S5) that have plenty potencial to run newer software. Besides that, one teacher I had, one day, he told in the classroom that there's no limits when programming, it only depends on our imagination to create solutions. I'm nobody to say that his words are correct or not, but I believe if there's will and hope that things are capable to be made.
Sent from my SM-G900F using XDA Labs
I'd love to see Android 8 on my S5. It is true and it will be always true that the stock TW camera is the best one. It has slow-mo and 1080p60 video (I know that OnePlus camera has 720p90fps slow-mo, but that's not that great comapared to the stock.) But in my opinion, for some picture shooting, it is a great camera with the stock Lineage camera as well. (Maybe one day someone can find Samsung's driver).
Besides that, the S5 runs great with the latest 7.1.2 Android, and I believe that it will run as fast (if not better) with Android O.
Definetly hope for an upcoming information, devs: take your time, make a great rom.
I don't see anything wrong with this topic? The guy just asked if it's possible lol He didn't tell you "MAKE IT NOW!!". About stock android 8 - no. Stock android is boring, even Samsung's version of KitKat has more features than the newest stock android from Google. But some sort of port from, let's say, the Note 8 or the Galaxy S9 would be awesome in my opinion. There already are S8 ports for the KLTE which work with little bugs that will be fixed soon (SkiesROM) or ones that don't really matter that much (DreamUX ROM). Hardware is more than capable. iPhones have super low hardware and Apple updates them for 4-5 years ahead. This means that 'old' 2014 hardware like the S5's can be used perfectly fine even in 2020...with the right developers. BUT, nothing beats official Sammy firmware. Sure, you'll get the new features from android O(reo?) and the new Note8/S9 but bugs are inevitable whereas TouchWiz 6.0.1 is fine in every aspect. I'll stick to my S5 until 2019-2020 and then buy a new S10 or S11 (xd). I just hope that Samsung bring back the features from the S5 like IR blaster, fingerprint scanner on the front, hover view in the gallery and video apps, etc. FM Radio won't hurt too (still envy my S3 Mini for having it, 1%=3h radio) :|

Unfortunately it doesn't, I've tried almost 10 releases and they all keep crashing or with very poor quality

Ah, woops, my fault.
I revisited the internal development talk and the fix (a missing qcom library) should be added with OEMv3.

Why do you blame the developer while getting bugs on a alpha version?
OEMv2c is still an alpha version
And at the moment are the xz2/c/3 the only real usable devices in the new 4.14
(Xperia 1/5 too somehow)
It just takes time, developers are humans with a 8 hours work day or less if they do it as an volunteer work for free for you the enduser in their spare time after a full day of hard work to pay their families and the bug is already known
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
By the way
The Sony open devices project by Sony makes development and kernel upgrades much easier.
But more volunteers working for free for you === faster progress

I didn't blame developers btw, I'm talking about Sony! You are always rushed in your answers and you never give some clear info... Like when someone asks "how to" you just give some absurd words that makes no help (not all users are good at developing FYI) SO PLEASE I'M ASKING YOU TO STOP ANSWERING MY QUESTIONS IF YOU DON'T MIND

I assumed since you use PE you know that you flash the OEM.IMG file
I don't know your knowledge level, so just ask me until you understand it
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Saying that the next OEM version update should fix the gcam crash isn't clear enough?
Then ask me another question
¯\_(ツ)_/¯

You still didn't get my point... Just stop assuming and rushing to give non sense answers, get your mind organized a bit before posting replies and read carefully the questions ... would you? All your answers in this forum seem like they are questions themselves and need to be solved lol.
