While taking apart my m7 the volume buttons broke off. after looking for a replacement daughter board, I realized the gsm version of the phone has a different one, however the sprint version of the phone has an identical daughter board. Will this work in the Verizon phone?
Verizon parts are kinda scarce unfortunately so knowing either way would help greatly
If anyone is wondering, the answer is yes the antenna/flex/daughter board from a sprint m7 will work in the Verizon m7. The boards are the same with the addition of one extra plug for the blue coaxial cable. The extra plug remains unused though

I see that the Red HTC One is a 'Sprint Exclusive'. There are a number of "unlocked" Red HTC Ones on eBay - is it possible to activate them on Verizon's network?
Would I need to flash it with a Verizon ROM, and/or need an unlocked bootloader?

Each HTC One has a unique ESN number. That ESN is loaded into the carriers data base of working units.
If you have a Sprint unit that is only going to work on Sprint. Verizon will no accept an ESN from an outside carrier.
What you could do is swap cases. Find a repair shop with qualified techs to put a Red Sprint case on a Verizon unit.
Those unlocked ones you see for sale are GSM unlocked. For CDMA to work the ESN still has to be registered on the carriers network.
Is that even possible?
The wikipedia entry and marketing material for the HTC One says "The frame is etched with channels in which the polycarbonate is inset using zero-gap injection molding."
Is it possible to separate the HTC One and remove the casing? I didn't think this could be done...
Also, this would mean I'd have to buy two $600 phones and risk breaking them both.

While the HTC One is repairable its very difficult. I went to youtube and typed in HTC One teardown and found several videos.
Its not easy like an iPhone or GS3..
What your wanting to do wont be cheap. But if you want it bad enough it can be done.
My HTC One Dual Sim (802w) suddenly slipped out of my hands during my morning workout and I cracked my screen. Since I like my phone too much I can not replace the entire phone, so I'm thinking of replacing the screen itself, since only screen has been broken and everything else works just fine (Every touch and every swipe works as is should be)
So, since I have a Dual Sim version 802w I'm wondering whether the original One's (HTC One M7 NON DUAL SIM) screen is identical to the DUAL SIM one?
I got in touch with the Russian HTC Support but they did not tell me whether the screens are identical or not. All they told me, was to take my phone to my neighbour country for them to fix it.
Does anyone have any experience with the broken glass of 802w? Would very much appreciate any response ...
its not the same bro. i ordered for HTC one 801. apparently its not the same.
try this one.

I haven't been up to date on flashing and switching carriers in a few years, I used to do it all the time.
My girlfriend broke here phone (Verizon Contract) and needed a new phone, we got a good deal on a HTC One (m7) Model No: HTC PN072. And purchased it.
I thought it was still be the same old flash the radios call Verizon and keep asking for new people until I get someone who can offer to activate. Now I am looking for an unlock tool and all I can find is GSM SIM unlockers, and can't find the right Verizon Radios for this phone.
My girlfriend is pissed because now she doesn't have a phone and we just spent money on this new phone. Am I SOL? Or is there a thread somewhere that my googfu just can't find?

i tried to do this for a phone for mom. it doesnt matter what you do with the phone- verizon has white lists now. if they dont have the ESN in their system, they WILL NOT activate it. you have a sprint ESN, so you will never activate that on verizon no matter how many times you call them.
sucks, i know. I had to buy a verizon m7.
It can be done using a donor phone the same way you would fllash a phone to metropcs. you can find plenty of tutorials online just replace everything metro with sprint.
Any luck on this? I have a Sprint HTC One M8 that I wish to bring over to Verizon. I'm not new to changing ESNs and I understand the legal ramifications of using a service that is unpaid for, so that aside, I'm paying for the service. I had bought the phone intending to switch to Ting, but the IMEI is locked to Sprint for one year from release. I have until April when that gets unlocked, so I figured to use it without the SIM card, since that's what allows 4G LTE usage on CDMA phones, at least from what I am told by people and the phone (once I removed the SIM card it started giving me that message). Hell I'm ok disabling data altogether, but as long as I can make calls and text, I'm jolly.
You could flash them to pageplus although I think they only have 3g.
Pageplus has 4G albeit at a reduced speed but effective 1/15/2015 they will not accept flashed phones anymore

This is illegal and not appropriate conversation on XDA. It's out there though, although I've only seen people flashing phones from Verizon to Page Plus or Sprint to Virgin or Boost. Never seen Sprint to Verizon or vice versa.
I was under the impression that Sprint and Verizon use different signal frequencies, and that the radios installed by HTC during build were specific to the frequency. Yes, they are both CDMA, but different frequencies.
I have a sprint HTC one m7 and I would like to use it one straight talk. I have parts from a damaged att m7 and was wondering if you would think it possible to swap the antennas and antenna boards and be able to use it on straight talk. Thanks.
Hi, I have a g870a (AT&T active titanium) and I live in Europe. I had a issue with my phone and I have to change the motherboard, but Samsung assistance can't order the replacement. I was searching on ebay and I was wondering if g870 or g870f are compatible.
My phone is unlocked for any carrier but before buying the wrong replacement I wanted to be sure it will work
Thank you
What do you mean you have to change your logic board? What does it do?
Also if you were unlocked and you get a new logic board, you might no longer be unlocked.
Don't bother. The screen is glued down tighter than most. You will break the screen trying to get inside and the replacement is more than it's worth. sellers on ebay have this phone NIB for around $200. Just get a new phone and make sure its unlocked.
