Sprint one m7 GSM conversion - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have a sprint HTC one m7 and I would like to use it one straight talk. I have parts from a damaged att m7 and was wondering if you would think it possible to swap the antennas and antenna boards and be able to use it on straight talk. Thanks.

[Q] Verify Verizon HTC One works on prepaid sim?

Hello, we will be going to europe for a month in September and I'm trying to see what I have to do to use our HTC Ones (one m7, one m8)
I keep hearing inconclusive things, either a different phone, provider or this and that, figured I'd just post.
My understanding is that I don't have to do anything special to use my Verizon HTC One in Europe (or outside the USA) with a prepaid SIM such as an Orange prepaid SIM.
Can anyone validate that this is correct please?
Thanks!

International Travel

Hi guys,
I'm currently using the One (M8) and was wondering if my old One (M7) would work when I travel abroad. The M7 is not activated on Sprint since I updated to the M8. It is SIM unlocked though.
I didn't want to bring the M8, incase I mess it up.
Thanks

Yeah, it will. 2G will work for sure, while 3G and 4G may/may not work due to the frequencies.

HTC One M7 Bell - Using with T-Mobile / Wind

I have a HTC One M7 currently with Bell. Wondering if this phone will work with Wind or Mobilicity ? I don't have a Wind Sim to test but from what i have read, the HTC M7 is the same model, so has both the radios.
Could someone who has looked at this please advise. If i go form the Stock HTC Rom and convery it to GPE, does that make a difference ? It mostly is probably a radio issue.
Would greatly appreciate the help.

You are correct it is the bands and radios in the device, not so much the ROM that is installed. The bands are hardwired into the phone, the radio.img will enhance the capability of the bands but can not change them. The best thing to do is to check the phone specs for the model you have then check the bands that the carriers are using. If they match up then you should not have a problem with the phone operating on that carrier's network.
Hey so did your? Bell HTC M7 work with either Wind or Mobilicty? Just picked one up!

[Q] sprint m7 parts compatible with Verizon m7?

While taking apart my m7 the volume buttons broke off. after looking for a replacement daughter board, I realized the gsm version of the phone has a different one, however the sprint version of the phone has an identical daughter board. Will this work in the Verizon phone?
Verizon parts are kinda scarce unfortunately so knowing either way would help greatly
If anyone is wondering, the answer is yes the antenna/flex/daughter board from a sprint m7 will work in the Verizon m7. The boards are the same with the addition of one extra plug for the blue coaxial cable. The extra plug remains unused though

Question about Sprint HTC One (m8)

From what I have read are all the HTC One M8 cell phones the exact same as far as capability goes, I mean hardware and frequency ranges? If that is true why is it that Sprint and Verizon phones are limited? I mean like a Google Play conversion? They have slots for SIM cardss and if the hardware supports it is it not just a matter of different software? I ask because I do not know. So my question is= Is it possible to convert my HTC One M8 Sprint Harman Kardon to a Google Play Edition? And would there be any limitations as far as use on other networks ect...
