I have a Galaxy s5. I'm using Go Launcher 5. I have Xposed installed with four modules installed: Wanam, Xposed G-touchwiz, handleexternalstorage, and greenify. Somewhere along the line I set my status bar to transparent so I could see the entire wallpaper. It's transparent on the main screen and the app drawer in Go Launcher. It's also transparent in touchwiz when I drop out of Go launcher. This indicates to me that Go Launcher is not where I made the setting, so it has to be either in one of the Xposed modules or in touchwiz itself.
I don't know if Xposed settings can continue if for instance I made this setting in a module and then deleted the module. I used a "tinted status bar" module for a short time but no longer have that installed.
Can someone have mercy and help me figure out where I made this setting? I really thought it was in touchwiz but I'm n ot finding it after much searching through settings, and I want to switch it back, or make the bar a little less transparent.
Thanks for any help on this.
Does anyone know if it is possible to change the home button icon, i.e rather than a picture of a little house, have say a car, or writing like "Xperia", or anything else?
Also, is it possible to just change the app icons, rather than having a launcher to change the whole home screen like Nova Launcher. I like the way I have arranged my apps and widgets etc, and I use my own pictures for backgrounds, I would just like to use different icons for the apps?
Thanks - I am new to the forum so apologies - I am not a developer, have not rooted my phone and don't know what to do with apk ?

O.K, let's simplify this...
Root device and install xposed framework.
Install Xperia xposed module and you'll be able to change home button/icon.
Install Unicon, xposed module to change apps icons.
Download themes from market (for ADW launcher) and use those themes icons.
- You'll get it once you open unicon -
There are other ways to change app icons and home button, decompiling apk and change ongs (assets) in xxhdpi folder but without root there's no chance to do that...
And yeah...you are in wrong section buddy..
Use Q&A for this types if threads.
You can change the home/back etc. buttons by changing your xperia specific theme in the appearance section in your settings. I personally have applied an Android L theme and have the official 5.0 square, triangle and circle.
As for the icons, I don't think so, unless you're willing to install a custom launcher. I recommend nova, you can categorize your apps just as efficiently if not more with the Prime version.
This is the way to go if you don't want to root your device as the upper poster suggested.
The best way is changing theme apperance.
There's an app on the Play Store called Softkeyz which dies exactly that.

"unicon" app (xposed module) can change app icons in xperia home launcher. download any icon pack and apply it
``
you can change it by rooting your phone , and xposed installed . then you use module 'xStana'{Recommended} or 'XPERIA/AOSP NavBar Button' for the softkey , you can change what you like .
I recently moved from a Nexus 5 to a Galaxy s6. Of course I wanted the pure android look so I installed the google now launcher and the material theme.
The problem I am having is the phone icon still shows the ugly green touchwiz icon as well as the touchwiz camera icon (don't know if that should change or not).
From the screenshots I see it looks like the phone dialer should change as well.
Any ideas?
The icons will not change with the Google Now Launcher. You will need a third party app to do that, or use a launcher like Nova.
The in-call UI will not be themed, but the dialer should before you actually place the call.
Let me know if you have more questions :good:
Install Nova Launcher and then install Moonshine iconpack.
Hey guys,
Im using the stock miui launcher with a theme I chose from the store.
Now I'd like to just use some customers icons packs - how can I change just the icons!?
just go to customize(the green button), in the themes app , and choose icons. from there you can pick icon packs from other installed themes.

Also, depending on the locale you've set during the initial setup, the customize button might not be available. So, to personalize your theme you need to select the upper left icon on the Theme app, and then go into Personalize theme
For MIUI 8: Go the Themes App come with MIUI, click on the top left icon, there is customize theme option inside.
but i don't think all themes allow icon customization.

Wow, i was wondering where the customize icon went.
So they put it inside 'my account'. I mean really? Wtf.
Hey there guys...
So today I will be giving a small guide to get rid of ugly navbar in Nexus 5 running miui.
Lets Begin
Requirements :
1)Nexus 5 running MIUI.
2)Xposed Installed(All likns will be provided in the bottom of the thread).
3)I will be listing a couple of paid apps so you if you want to use them you may need credit card or you can use whatever method you want to buy those apps.
4)A bit of patience.
Lets Start.....
I will be dividing this guide into two parts
1)Using stock MIUI launcher
2)Using 3rd party launcher.
Using Stock MIUI Launcher
We all know N5 have that kitkat navbar which looks ugly on MIUI.So to get rid of that first flash Lollipop navbar(link is at the bottom).
After Flashing it your navbar will be same as we see in lillipop but is not transparent(actually it is transparent but MIUI launcher makes it black).
So if you are a user like me who love setting dark wallpapers then you should'n have much problem with it becauser when you set a dark wallpaper navbar color and wallpapers colour matches and it looks perfect as you can see in Screenshot 1.
But if you don't like dark wallpapers then it looks preety damn ugly even if you flash lollipop navbar. So to get rid of that install Gravitybox xposed module.
After activating it go to Navigation bar settings and enable navbar(You have to do this if you want to customize it). After enabling it reboot your device.Again go to gravitybox>navbar settings and enable custom key colors and set key color to black so navbar willl look like a black strip on the screen which feels like it is bottom of the phone and not navbar. Now you can set whichever wallpaepr you want. You can see it in Screenshot 2.
Using 3rd Party Launcher
First download force translucent xposed module and activate it.After activating it set translucent navbar to all apps in app settings.
Then download MIUI launcher from play store(I think its just heavily modded nova launcher but it looks a lot like MIUI).
Download MIUI icon pack(this is paid app)
Set MIUI (Downloaded from gplay) as your default launcher and apply icon pack. There you go you have MIUI launcher with transparent navbar.
