Hi all!
For people with rooted phones.
Do any of you actually get a fullscreen wallpaper when soft keys are removed?
If so, what have you modified / apps installed?
I'm using Hide bottom bar ("Hide bar")
And tried with countless wallpaper apps, but to no avail.
1/3rd of the space previously occupied by the soft keys stays black.
You probably need to modify the framework for that.

Fullscreen Toggle (here from XDA) + Nova Launcher. Hidden Notification.
Works like it should
By god must I have been blind?!
I have been to that thread where the .apk is before.
Well, guess I need to be spoonfed things once in a while.
This solved it!
The "Hide Bottom Bar" also removed the status bar completely, not making it possible to hide/show with any launcher.
Now this is possible again with the use of launcher.
Also the whole screen is now covered by the wallpaper, which is the most important thing.
I've currently got the 24A "manual OTA" installed on my G2 / VS980, rooted. After having used Apex and Nova over the last couple of years, I've gotten to like the LGHome stock launcher for a change. Some nice themes coming out, but I miss the ability to use some of the custom icon packs that I've used on Apex and Nova. Seems that, if I stay on the stock launcher, unless I want to replace each icon individually through the launcher, the primary option left to me is Xposed with Unicon.
My questions for those of you who have used it on the G2:
1) Any problems / issues? Any downside at all to using Xposed with Unicon? (responsiveness, battery, etc?)
2) Having selected an icon pack and allowed Unicon to update all icons in the phone, is there anything like an "undo" or "revert" capability? In the pictures, I saw what looked like an option to select the "system default" icon set -- with the LG Home Launcher, does this effectively restore whatever icons you had been using before running Unicon (based on whatever LG stock launcher theme you had selected, along with stock app icons)?
thanks in advance for any input on this.
@jonstrong
I've used Unicon for a long time. But only on AOSP ROMs because that's basically all I run. I've never once had an issue with it. It doesn't affect battery or cause any lag. The system default is like an undo switch. It just makes all the icons stock again. Basically what Unicon does is just inject the icons into individual apps while Xposed is active. You can uninstall Xposed and they go back to normal too. BUT...using Xposed without a custom recovery can be risky, because if the phone bootloops then you don't have a way to flash the Xposed disabler. There's a failsafe built in with Xposed now that disables it with some button combination, but I'm not sure exactly how to do it. If all else fails you can flash back to stock, but that a little bit of a pain.
Does anyone know if it is possible to change the home button icon, i.e rather than a picture of a little house, have say a car, or writing like "Xperia", or anything else?
Also, is it possible to just change the app icons, rather than having a launcher to change the whole home screen like Nova Launcher. I like the way I have arranged my apps and widgets etc, and I use my own pictures for backgrounds, I would just like to use different icons for the apps?
Thanks - I am new to the forum so apologies - I am not a developer, have not rooted my phone and don't know what to do with apk ?

O.K, let's simplify this...
Root device and install xposed framework.
Install Xperia xposed module and you'll be able to change home button/icon.
Install Unicon, xposed module to change apps icons.
Download themes from market (for ADW launcher) and use those themes icons.
- You'll get it once you open unicon -
There are other ways to change app icons and home button, decompiling apk and change ongs (assets) in xxhdpi folder but without root there's no chance to do that...
And yeah...you are in wrong section buddy..
Use Q&A for this types if threads.
You can change the home/back etc. buttons by changing your xperia specific theme in the appearance section in your settings. I personally have applied an Android L theme and have the official 5.0 square, triangle and circle.
As for the icons, I don't think so, unless you're willing to install a custom launcher. I recommend nova, you can categorize your apps just as efficiently if not more with the Prime version.
This is the way to go if you don't want to root your device as the upper poster suggested.
The best way is changing theme apperance.
There's an app on the Play Store called Softkeyz which dies exactly that.

"unicon" app (xposed module) can change app icons in xperia home launcher. download any icon pack and apply it
``
you can change it by rooting your phone , and xposed installed . then you use module 'xStana'{Recommended} or 'XPERIA/AOSP NavBar Button' for the softkey , you can change what you like .
So I woke up this morning, everything was fine. I only updated Xposed Module Sense 6 Lockscreen mods , but I don't see how a Lockscreen mod app could affect the recent apps. I do run quite a few Xposed sense mods (The Dark Six theme, S6 Toolbox, Xtended Settings, S6 Transparent Recent Apps) .... U would think being that 1 of those is a recent apps mod , that it would be the culprit, but nada... And I don't mess with themes in s6 tb, JUST The Dark Six theme... Any ideas?
Nevermind, just figured it out. It's the update to Sense 6 Lockscreen mods that causes it.
Hey there guys...
So today I will be giving a small guide to get rid of ugly navbar in Nexus 5 running miui.
Lets Begin
Requirements :
1)Nexus 5 running MIUI.
2)Xposed Installed(All likns will be provided in the bottom of the thread).
3)I will be listing a couple of paid apps so you if you want to use them you may need credit card or you can use whatever method you want to buy those apps.
4)A bit of patience.
Lets Start.....
I will be dividing this guide into two parts
1)Using stock MIUI launcher
2)Using 3rd party launcher.
Using Stock MIUI Launcher
We all know N5 have that kitkat navbar which looks ugly on MIUI.So to get rid of that first flash Lollipop navbar(link is at the bottom).
After Flashing it your navbar will be same as we see in lillipop but is not transparent(actually it is transparent but MIUI launcher makes it black).
So if you are a user like me who love setting dark wallpapers then you should'n have much problem with it becauser when you set a dark wallpaper navbar color and wallpapers colour matches and it looks perfect as you can see in Screenshot 1.
But if you don't like dark wallpapers then it looks preety damn ugly even if you flash lollipop navbar. So to get rid of that install Gravitybox xposed module.
After activating it go to Navigation bar settings and enable navbar(You have to do this if you want to customize it). After enabling it reboot your device.Again go to gravitybox>navbar settings and enable custom key colors and set key color to black so navbar willl look like a black strip on the screen which feels like it is bottom of the phone and not navbar. Now you can set whichever wallpaepr you want. You can see it in Screenshot 2.
Using 3rd Party Launcher
First download force translucent xposed module and activate it.After activating it set translucent navbar to all apps in app settings.
Then download MIUI launcher from play store(I think its just heavily modded nova launcher but it looks a lot like MIUI).
Download MIUI icon pack(this is paid app)
Set MIUI (Downloaded from gplay) as your default launcher and apply icon pack. There you go you have MIUI launcher with transparent navbar.
