So basically I read through the forums and found no similar case to my problem. I'm trying to root my s3 mini and I have tried 2 ways:
1 - OneClick iRoot or VROOT, however I always get the 'Root Failed' prompt everytime.
2 - CWM and Odin method, it says in the Odin GUI that I have PASSed the PDA installation then my device automatically restarts and doesn't go to the CWM screen but instead boots normally showing the Samsung logo.
Any tips?

I was trying to update the darkys rom on my rooted galaxy s .2.2 After the root via rom manager the phone restarted but was frozen on home screen. In panic i tried to unroot with one click root (stupidly) and now the phone will not boot it will only (with difficulty) go into download mode (no restore mode).kies will not recognise the phone and Odin will not restore. i have tried lots of different builds, pits, codes, modems and csc none of them have worked I either get the usual error messages or it just freezes. Does anyone know a way to restore this very ill phone without using kies or odin. I am running windows 7 32bit. Thanks.
I updated to 2.3.2 today and have tried several times to root my phone via ODIN using CF root. They seem to complete in ODIN and then restart the phone but it has a looping vibration of 4 vibrates then a pause and then another 4 and a pause e.t.c - this is ont the startup screen with the galaxy logo (before the animation).
I have tried rooting with both CF-Root-JP6-v1.2-Busybox-1.17.1.zip and also CF.root.XWJV1.zip but both have come out with the same vibration loop.
Can anyone suggest how to root my galaxy s with 2.3.2 please?
CF-Root-XW_XEE_JVB-v3.1-CWM3RFS
Works fine on 2.3 .

Seems like my Tab P1000 is major f**k**!
I've had issues with the tab showing up in Odin from day one...Does not show up.
Managed to get the tab rooted thru One Click Root.
Tried to get CWM but couldn't find it anywhere for P1000.
Downloaded and installed Mobile oding to try flashing Overcome.
Put all the files into Mobile Odin, and started flashing.
This was when things went sour...
The flashing just stopped for several hours at the Samsung Logo screen, after 5 hours i just turned the whole tab off holding PWR button.
Tried to go into upload mode, but that didn't work, got "Power reset or unknown upload mode". The tab goes into Download mode, but displays as "Unknown Device" in Device manager in Windows7 (I am running 64bit). I have tried to install the Samsung USB drivers, still does not detect the tab. Tab is not detected by Kies, Odin or Heimdall at all. Displays as Unknown Device in Zadig, and the driver is not possible to install. I think I have read through all the posts available regarding this subject, but not sure. I hope there is a way of fixing this without disassembling the Tab.
I purchased the Tab from a colleague, and he had installed the 2.3.3 firmware on it. He said he got Odin working and that was how he put 2.3.3 in. Could this be the source of the problem??
It got nothing to do with your colleague flashing 2.3.3 using odin.
I use Odin all the time, but never have actually tried Mobile Odin.
But I suspect the actual problem was, your G-tab was not properly rooted.
After you tried rooting your G-tab, did you tested it with Titanium backup or with any apps requiring root access?
Installing custom rom requires root access, otherwise it will fail in the middle because of write access failure.
Unrecognized by Windows 7... As many posts state, you need to connect to kies at least once before going to download mode so that your g-tab could be detected by Windows.
You may try this solution:
Start Odin on your computer, connect your g-tab and while connected to the computer, reboot your g-tab again to download mode. Do this three to five times, and see if Odin can detect it.
I rooted a galaxy ace with superonclick and it was ok. I flashed CWM through recovery and it did not work. The phone started normally but I could not acces the CMW. I tried to flash CMW through Odin and it got stock in setup connection.....after a LONG time I turned the phone off and disconnected it to start the process again....now the phone is stuck on the SAMSUNG screen....what can I do? I can still access Download mode...
I tried to install CM9 on Galaxy Tab P1000L as follows:
-Downloaded Heimdall and the Clockworkmod recovery, but got stuck 'cause heimdall wouldn't finish installing. http://wiki.cyanogenmod.org/w/Install_CM_for_p1l
-Then, I searched and found the patch for bootloader( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=888071 ) , but after that my tab got stuck at the SAMSUNG logo; I couldn't even boot on recovery mode, only download mode.
-I tried Odin, but was having problems with the libusb drivers, so I uninstalled them, and then my pc recognized my tab in download mode. Then I flashed stock ROM but after Odin finished flashing, my tab rebooted and the screen wouldn't turn on. The buttons even lit up and the tab played a sound but that was its last sign of life.
Now, when I plug the tablet, it still appears on Odin, but when I try flashing anything it says " Can't open the serial(COM) port." I'm using Windows 7 x64, I have SDK, heimdall, odin, stock & cyanogen ROMs, overcome kernel. I'm not sure if it's bricked or not, 'cause I still can see it on ODIN.
Sorry for bothering u guys, but I read so many threads that I got lost. Pls, save me!!
