I have the Moto X and was wondering if the Moto G comes with Moto Voice installed on it?
Thanks
Nope.
According to this link it can be installed on the Moto G, has anyone tried this?

It's not pre-loaded on my XT1068 and the app from playstore says "Your device is not compatible" which makes sense cause the app is for Motorola phones on jellybean.
So I think moto G voice control will not work on actual phones, maybe someone can make the playstore app work but 90% of the commands are possible with Google Now, like call someone, send SMS, play song/songlist /album/interpret. Only the commands for start WiFi and similar ones are Motorola specific.

There is a Chrome extention to "remotely" use your phone from the browser. I believe this was released as part of the Moto X.
Though, these phones are all supported. Motorola Connect is currently supported on Moto X, DROID ULTRA, DROID MAXX and DROID MINI.
Anyone know more about this?...I'm hunting/pecking through the Moto X dump for any details.
Description
Send and receive texts from your computer.
Motorola Connect allows you to see text messages and calls coming into your Connect enabled phone on your computer’s Chrome browser. You can read and respond to texts using your keyboard and even know who’s calling before deciding if you should reach for your phone.
Motorola Connect is currently supported on Moto X, DROID ULTRA, DROID MAXX and DROID MINI.
For more information you can view the Motorola Privacy Policy at http://www.motorola.com/device-privacy

If all you're trying to do is read/reply to texts and see who is calling from the browser, just use the MightyText app and website (or Chrome extension).
Free, and works on any Android phone.

Air droid will also do this.

Is there a dialer.apk that can be installed on the Moto X from the Nexus 5 or something that allows us to do the nearby search dialing?
Plus one

Hello,
I just switched from a Nexus 4 to the Moto X (on T-Mobile, running stock). I noticed that my dialer in the Moto X is missing the Google Now functionality (it's not searching local businesses, etc)
Is this happening to anybody else? Is there a setting that I'm missing that turned the feature off?
I found a support entry from Google (Use caller ID by Google) but the option listed (Menu > Settings > Caller ID by Google) is not available on my phone.
I'm going to go home and check on my Nexus 4.
Never mind, I figured it out. Please delete me
Thanks!
Just what did you figure out?

Probably that it's a feature only available on Nexus devices.
Yeah, That's what I came up with... which is why I asked.
Ya I read in an article it didn't make the cut, but all you have to do is install it, it's posted the forums

Has anyone figured out how to get this working with the stock launcher? I'd really like to use the Google Dialer but I don't want to have to use Nova.
Use one of shortcut creating apps in the store. See thebdialer tread in Apps forum.

I've noticed that a couple of apps (TuneIn in particular) once I've run them show in the list of running apps long after I've stopped using the app. Does anyone have a recommendation for a task killer that I can set up to just kill one or two apps? I know a lot of folks don't like task killers or think they are needed, but I can't think of another way to get rid of these apps.
If you're rooted, greenify app. Its perfect for such things.

I haven't rooted my MotoX yet, it runs so well that I really haven't needed to.
Greenify works without root

Hello, can someone please upload motorola stock apk's?
Moto
Moto Voice
Moto Actions
Moto Display
There are four or five that gives the whole "Moto" functionallity.
When I try to download them from GPS, it just sends an "not compatible device" error.

Thank you so much!
Been looking for this with no luck, as I found one package with no working apps, the phone detected them as installed but they weren't functional.
Going to try this, and again thanks!
