There is a Chrome extention to "remotely" use your phone from the browser. I believe this was released as part of the Moto X.
Though, these phones are all supported. Motorola Connect is currently supported on Moto X, DROID ULTRA, DROID MAXX and DROID MINI.
Anyone know more about this?...I'm hunting/pecking through the Moto X dump for any details.
Description
Send and receive texts from your computer.
Motorola Connect allows you to see text messages and calls coming into your Connect enabled phone on your computer’s Chrome browser. You can read and respond to texts using your keyboard and even know who’s calling before deciding if you should reach for your phone.
Motorola Connect is currently supported on Moto X, DROID ULTRA, DROID MAXX and DROID MINI.
For more information you can view the Motorola Privacy Policy at http://www.motorola.com/device-privacy

If all you're trying to do is read/reply to texts and see who is calling from the browser, just use the MightyText app and website (or Chrome extension).
Free, and works on any Android phone.

Air droid will also do this.

I just got a warranty replacement bionic. My prior phone Some how got the backup assistant plus installed. I never installed out. Out was just there one day. Anyhow, my new phone shows this app as incompatible on the play market. Has anyone seen this? Does anyone have the assistant plus apk? Ideas?
VZW tech support basically told me they had no idea what was going on and that the app is supposed to be compatible with the bionic. Waiting for level 3 reply.
Thanks for any help.

I personally never use back-up assistant, since google backs up all your contacts automatically. I've had nothing but problems with back-up assistant.
Backup assistant PLUS does photos, documents, and music as well as contacts. It worked very well for me, but note I can't recover...

One of the standard features in the stock Google Phone app was caller ID for incoming calls that are not in your contacts. I had this on my gs3 with cm11. So far I have not been successfully able to locate an option on my turbo to get it to work. Anyone have this working?

I miss this! I thought it was a standard kit kat feature but apparently not? Anyone have any idea how to get this back? (had it on my S3 with slimkat)
Verizon prolly wants you to pay for the caller id app that comes on the phone

Agent doesn't let you reply, either, does it?

hmmmm I will have to download it again and try it out. Thanks for the tip.
Love Agent. The only thing I miss from stock is Moto Connect for SMS via Chrome browser on desktop and the Moto unlock screen.
Mighty Text replaces connect very well

I have the Moto X and was wondering if the Moto G comes with Moto Voice installed on it?
Thanks
Nope.

It's not pre-loaded on my XT1068 and the app from playstore says "Your device is not compatible" which makes sense cause the app is for Motorola phones on jellybean.
So I think moto G voice control will not work on actual phones, maybe someone can make the playstore app work but 90% of the commands are possible with Google Now, like call someone, send SMS, play song/songlist /album/interpret. Only the commands for start WiFi and similar ones are Motorola specific.

I'm running cm13 latest update as of post and cannot display mirror to my fire TV stick.
Has anyone else tried this? It does work for my wife's stock note 3.

I've had trouble getting this to work on my Asus Windows 10 tablet as well. I don't think I ever got it to work very reliably on it or my Droid Turbo. Some of it had to do with my wifi network/old router, but it never seemed to connect easily regardless. Even with my newer setup I have had so much trouble (and screen update delay on the rare occasion that it did work) that I pretty much gave up. I think it may have worked a little better before the last fire stick firmware update, but I can't even be sure of that.
Thanks for the reply, curious if any other ROMs it works with. It works flawless on the note 3.
Fwiw it doesn't require a network connection so your router is not needed.
