Hi People
i am pretty sure you know this and pretty sure that you have tired but anyway......
Doing this made the purple blue red issue go away for around few hours and once only for a couple of minutes as it was hot i was out.........let me explain heat is the issue in most phones ......
DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.....
Good luck and let know how it turns out .
Instructions ====
1.Turn on your m7
2.wrap it with a normal A4 size or any size paper
3. put in the freezer(which makes ice) for around 10-20 mints.(not for any longer as your freezer might be colder then mine) 10 minutes at least
4.take it out .. try the camera 99% chance is that its gone.
5.its gonna start getting pinker and then soon back to its original messed up state
Part B (optional )
5.Turn it off for 2-4 minutes
6.turn it on use it
7.in some cases disabling fast boot helps(fast boot keeps part of the phone on)
8. enjoy while it lasts lol
So in 80 of 100 phones heating up creates the issue...
Comment with your results and android version / model number
Hit thanks if it helped...

My D4 bit the dust tonight after having it for a year and a half. I think moisture from leaving it in the bathroom during my showers killed it. The phone gets power, but when I turn it on I get white/black static. It won't even show the Motorola boot animation. I am wondering if there is a way to get my pictures off the internal memory card? When I plug my phone up to the computer I get the little sound that my phone is connected, but it doesn't show up. I have tried a reset and booting into safe mode, but the screen just shows black/white static.

Hi, it sounds like you got the same problem as described in this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2552978
I wonder if more people will pop up having this problem suddenly. Can you check if you can connect to your Phone through adb when on the static screen? That still seems to work here.
It might make sense to move this discussion to that other thread to have one location for the people having the same problem.

I got this phone the other day, It's just got snow all over the screen (it's out of warranty) so I opened the cover, pulled off all connectors and re-seated them (didn't remove any boards, just what was accessible once the back covers were off.
I am new to Android but, this model I have replaced 2 Displays on (not this phone), seems I get one for cheap with a broken display, I fix it and someone offers me more than triple what I paid for, so I keep selling them :-/ (a man cant turn down a big profit). So I know how to pull this phone apart and replace parts if needed. I was looking to give Android a solid shot here (I am a Windows Phone person now)and not sell this one...
Not sure if the display is toast or this is just a Bricked or something else.
Note:
-If I connect to a PC, it connects fine
-When the phone is on, If I touch the lower of the screen, I hear clicking
-Double click on the center of the screen wakes up the display.
-Verzion software tool does not detect the phone (even though a drive is mapped for it)
Also to know, I have never rooted a Android device, so no idea on how to tell if it's rooted or not from the file system. Yea, when it comes to Android devices, I am a NooB.
Any idea ?
Thanks in advance !
Ok, Still trying to trouble shoot this, figuring it was a Brick or something with a lot of effort (The touch screen seems to work but, power off was a guessing game where to push to get it into bootloader mode).
I tried to go back to Stock with it, following these directions...
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2448960
Now during the process, every once an a while, on the top of the screen, I can see about 1/2 of the ICONs, it's static so it does not update but, it's the most I have seen off this display.
After showing Successful, it's still doing the same thing. accept a hair of it, static across the top of the screen.
So, does this lead down to a hardware based issue (if so, what part should be replaced), or is this display damaged and needs a replacement ?
Has anyone gone through this and can help ?
Edit, Picked up the one of the cables for the phone that the video, power, headphones all plug into, as all my problems are resulting in something that plugs into this cable, figured I would give it a shot, The only things that are left are the Main board, or the display itself.
Maybe this will fix it ?

Does anyone have any input that might help me here ? Will this part fix it, or is this phone screwed completely ?
Hi guys,
my loved Note, yesterday died suddenly.
Last month's I had some problems, sometimes freezed and to use it again I had to go in cwm, do a backup, restore it and then restart. In this way the phone was ok for some says, but always delicate. I mean I couldn't do much things together for don't block it. As when Windows have problems [emoji41].
I had I'm plan to change the original rom, but my low skill made me to wait and wait.
Yesterday when I arrived work I found it switched off, as happen often. I boot in cwm and I got the error in photo.
I tried a swipe cache format, but it block. Normally it needs few seconds. Remain block for 1-2 min so I push power for 10sec.
It switch off, and never awake again.
I changed battery, nothing.
But when I put battery, back in camera area become warm.
Is it death? [emoji33] [emoji41][emoji30] [emoji30] [emoji30]
I have some chances to get it alive again? [emoji30]
Sorry for my bad English
Thanks to all
Ale

Doesn't switch on?!, you mean it can't even boot into recovery or download mode?
If that so, then I'm afraid it's a hardware issue bro, if you can boot into download mode, then you will be able to flash TWRP with Odin..
Hi! My Galaxy Note 9 has recently started having a really strange issue.
When I press the power button and unlock it using my fingerprint, I can clearly hear the phone unlocking, but my screen stays perfectly black. When I press the power button again, it makes the stock "locking" noise that it makes. The little click.
If I don't relock the phone, it still can be used! I can actually click icons, accidentally send texts, etc. but no image....
Here's where it gets weird.
If I tap the screen two to four times and THEN press the power button, my screen turns on! I'm then able to use the phone like normal. Crazy!
However, for whatever reason I cannot use this trick when I get a phone call. So I just have to call people back.
Has anyone experienced this before? Do you have any tips to fix the problem? I have already tried restarting the phone, and powering it off and turning it back on. My last resort is a factory reset.
Welcome to XDA
May be a rootkit. If your running anything lower than Android 9, a factory reset may not purge it ie X-helper. The longer you wait the more damage malware can potentially do.
Delete Google account from phone and...
Nuke it, then reset your Google account password after factory reset.
If it persists, reflash rom. If it still persists it's hardware.
Two days ago I did click a link in a spam ad. And then yesterday the problem kicked in, so your suggestion has some pretty strong credibility in my mind. I'll take the actions you recommend. Thank you!
Maybe go with Brave browser in the future and add this modification to the new load. It globally blocks ads and some of the worst sites as well.

Hi, the screen on my Google Pixel 4XL just went bonkers with all this flickering purple lines. Sometimes, a portion of the screen would still display normally. The phone has just reached 2 years of usage and I have never dropped it before.
The touch screen is still working normally as I have tried using the phone while mirroring to my PC. The 90 Hz refresh rate has also been turned off.
May I know what is causing the problem and if repairing it means the replacement of the entire LCD screen (it will cost me about 250 USD in my country)? I am trying to decide if it is worth repairing the phone or to just go for a Pixel 6 or 6a.

Hey!
So that doesn't seem to be a software issue but you could try to factory reset the phone. If it doesn't fix try to open the phone, disconnect and reconnect the display cable. If nothing worked the screen is damaged. Here's a link to the ifixit guide. Things that cann cause screen to break are extreme temperatures(if you left the phone under sun for long periods of time or where you live snows and you left the phone outside), water damage, or even hard strokes.
On Europe you can find replacement screens for 70 euros more or less so it's up to you if you want to upgrade or not. I personally really like the P4 and I personally would fix it BUT it's your decision.
Hope this helps you!
