Hey guys
I have the Indian version of the Moto X- XT1052.
I want to return it to stock so I can receive the OTA.
I found this image: http://www.filefactory.com/file/3qrd...FC_1FF.xml.zip
I want to know if this will revert all the changes that I have made to whatever it was when I got it.
Will it return boot, system and recovery to stock?
Could anyone give me clear instructions on how I can flash this image?
Do I need root access to flash this?
Does this downgrade the android version?
Thanks

Guys,i have Retail 1058 Moto X with unlocked Bootloader,TWRP(latest and rooted) and i want to upgrade to 4.4.2!
Some guys already received the 4.4.2 brazilian update via OTA,and extracted the zip file, but, since im on custom recovery, the OTA doesnt reboot the phone into stock and go straight to TWRP,therefore, doesnt conclude the update, and keep restarting!
Since i need the phone,i did a factory reset via TWRP just to get things going!
But,i want to upgrade to 4.4.2!
Is there a way to do that?remove TWRP ou something else?
Thx in advance!

First thing is you have posted this in the wrong thread, should be in Q&A section. You need to flash both system and stock recovery to take an ota, I believe this has been mentioned more than a few times
Sent on my Moto X
Moved here, as this does not belong in the Dev Section...thanks. OP please read the Forum Rules on posting....
Well I have had a problem that I can't get to kitkat using the OTA because I have a modified system with root. I also can't flash back to stock because the only stock image that is available is from before the camera update, so if I flash it I will brick my cellphone. From what I understand this doesn't leave me with any options at the moment. I am on Claro Chile(139.12.35.ghost_row.AmericaMovil.en.CL) currently but the only firmware available is 139.7.26.ghost_row.AmericaMovil.en.CL which is pre camera...
I wanted to be clear on what things would brick my phone for sure, that way I don't do them. First of all is it the bootloader or the system image that causes it to brick? If it's the bootloader, would I be able to just flash the system image by itself then do the OTA to get me to kitkat? Or is the camera file that is in the system image the problem? If so is it possible to modify the system image to update just the camera file then flash it then do the update to kitkat? Am I able to flash another rom from another carrier such as "Claro Brazil" or "Claro Puerto Rico" since they have the same system version as my phone(139.12.35.ghost_row.America.Movil.en)? Or would that brick it?
Or if any android or moto x gurus have any other ideas on how I can get to kitkat I am open to suggestions and ideas.

There is a poster who created an unofficial fxz for verizon 4.4.2 from another poster's stock phone running 4.4.2. You might want to ask him how he did it and if you know someone who has a stock 4.4.2 claro chile you may be able to do it. Here is the thread:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-x/development/xt1060-164-55-2-unofficial-fxz-unlocked-t2659682
Once the official sbf firmware came out he edited his OP to remove his unofficial fxz. I don't know how he does it, but he may be able to tell you how. That would get you to 4.4.2.
Hello guys, I just wanted to ask how to unroot my moto x xt1058. I've recently unlocked my bootloader and installed TWRP recovery to play a little with some framework modules but i have noticed that my battery is not that great after that so i want to go back, can you guys pleas help me? Will I lose my data? I also want to upgrade from OTA to 4.4.3 when it comes out in my country.
Sorry for my bad english
Return to stock threads. Use rsd to flash sbf to stock or fastboot the stock image files.

Hi, I have a unrooted 1092 where I applied the OTA to 5.0.
I have found lolipop to be a dissapointment and want to go back to kitkat. Is there a way to do this? My phone has a locked bootloader (i have not unlocked it) and I have been unable to find a factory image for this model.
The current system version is 22.21.19.victara_reteu.reteuall.en.EU retin

Hey Ivar,
You've got 2 choices; use mfastboot to revert back to KitKat. So you must unlock your bootloader. Or try motorola's RSD Lite tool..
I recommend making a full nandroid back up before attempting anything.

If you need any help, let me know! Good luck !
Btw, Motorola stock rom's are called SBF's ( system binary file )
