It doesn't look like anyone has posted the full review yet, so here you go.

Turns out the issue with performance was actually due to new drivers, which allow for the full suite of benchmarks to be run. As a result, the CPU gets throttled after all that torture testing.
The new benchmarks, done without running the full suite, are posted in the review.

OMG. The battery life IS atrocious. Lol.

Yeah the battery really is bad. Its the most concerning issue right now for me as I debate whether or not to pull the trigger on this. My biggest concern is the cellular talk time and the wifi hotspot time. Those things can't really be blamed on the cpu thermal throttling issues as neither are CPU intensive tasks. Would a software update really even have the potential to fix those particular benchmarks?
EDIT: Unless the radio drivers are just really poor? That might explain the bad benchmarks on web browsing too since data would be in use the entire time for those benchmarks as well. Maybe then there is hope for a software improvement to battery life? I really hate buying things based on what they might be able to do in the future vs what I know they can do now

Not if you want to fry your internals. Lol.
I'm guessing that the heat cannot dissipate effectively because of the screen on the front which is emanating heat, and the damn wireless inductive charging pad which is, in my mind, like a blanket. And I'm not even sure how effective glass is at displacing heat when couple with plastic.
But actually, cellular talk does release heat. Have you not noticed your phone getting hot when talking for extended periods of time? I believe the radio chip gets hot, maybe not necessarily the CPU. Regardless of where the heat is coming from, however, the sensors may still pick up on it. *shrugs*.
I'd advise you to wait 3 ~ 4 weeks if you can. Don't waste your time being the early adopter and wasting time dealing with early-release issues.

Well, every bad for a good we say where I'm from.
Looks like a whole bunch of us are gonna wait for exactly that.
On the review, keep in mind that we're not sure what version of the software all those test units use. Probably an unfinished version..

It hasn't really come together for me...
- No 32GB or Micro SD
- Poor battery life still, the update hasn't fixed it
- Poor benchmark results
I wanted to buy cause I thought it would be a bargain powerhouse but in the end it is obvious why the thing is so cheap. I'll just wait for my upgrade in April and get the GS4 if that is any good but until then my GS2 is doing just fine.

Seems fine.. compared to the Galaxy Nexus, which I regularly get 2 days at at time out of, the battery rates about the same, so no worries for me.

well, iv been "forced" to wait now, i was trying to order earlier today in the UK, but maybe it was a good thing i didnt get it yet

Well the "battery" test involves using chrome so...chrome sucks lot of power

Agreed. Chrome really isn't ready for prime time in my experience. Even on my Nexus 7, I use dolphin and its much smoother and faster than Chrome.
So even if we throw out the browser tests because of Chrome, why the low talk times compared to other phones with smaller batteries?

My take away is:
Software - Great
Design - Great
Performance - Good, could get better with kernels
Camera - Par
Battery Life - Par
More realistic than the sky high expectations set by everyone for a $350 off-contract phone.

I'm sorry but benchmarks mean sweet FA. My GNex is faster in actual usage than my One X although the One X is 3 times faster in Quadrant. Battery life is completely subject to usage - I don't believe their graphs as my One X is pitiful compared to my Nexus. Whereas me Nexus would be at 80%+ at this time of day my One X is currently sitting at 62% as I type with the same minimal work day usage

Really wanted this phone, but there are a number of areas that mean quite a lot to me to be honest, it hasn't really delivered:-
1. Battery life - no getting away from it, its poor. Marginally better than the GNex but no so much you would notice, despite a bigger battery.
2. Camera quality - Yes again, its better (not difficult), but somehow, it just isn't as good as it could be. Slightly slow shutter speed, average quality.
3. Audio quality - We haven't yet seen the full score with that, but again, the consensus seems to be "average"
4. Storage capacity - even less than the GNex (8/16 vs 16/32). We don't all have access to 4G internet and no limits to store all of our files in the cloud.
Now, yes I appreciate this is really nit-picking but I'm not really unhappy with the performance of my GNex, and it will still get the update. It is not slow, or choppy, and as such, with the values of the GNex how they stand, I'm reluctant to fork out £150 to upgrade to a phone, which no doubt is an upgrade, but not one you'll notice very easily.
As it stands, I'm thinking that vanilla android alone is not enough to make it a worthwhile swap over something like an HTC One X+, despite the price difference. OK the N4 has a faster CPU and more RAM, but I'm not much of games player, but it has a better screen, camera, sound quality and more storage. Or a Galaxy Note which is just as fast, much better battery life, bigger screen, expandable, better camera etc.
I can see why this phone is cheaper than the competition TBH. I am a big fan of Vanilla Android, but there can be no denying it plays second fiddle on *most* specs (all but RAM, CPU and , possibly screen).
BUT, I'll probably still get one, LOL.

Yeh one thing that puzzles me is they have the LTE One X topping the charts for most of the battery tests alongside the iPhone. However, wasn't the One X knocked for only having a 1800 mAH battery and poor battery life? Or was that only for the Tegra One X?

I should really qualify my last statement with I'm currently running the JB test build from HTC (as I'm a member of Elevate) so it's not on the final build but even on ICS it was poor compared to my Nexus. I can't see me having any issues with the N4 as I don't game/listen to music on my phone - it's purely a communication tool so email/FB/Twitter/SMSs/calls is the order of the day for me

Benchmarking wise the Nexus 4 is a joke. People were talking about this miraculous ota that will make it better but nothing happened. The camera isn't among the best and battery life sucks. Jeez, iPhone 5 with LTE is way better than the 3G Nexus 4. We can hate on Apple as much as we want but sometimes they get the job done way better than android makers/vendors.
I wanted this phone so bad but now I can wait to see what happens.

The sad part is tests rarely reflect reality, people get poor battery life on the iPhone 5 despite the controlled tests suggesting it should have excellent battery life, moral of the story is YMMV, its not as cut and dry as raw data correlating to reproducible performance. The benchmarks aren't great so there is one criteria left and that is how it performs in real world usage cause I'm not going to benchmarking like a maniac as it serves no benefit, as I actually want to use my phone. I'd say it passes that criteria well from numerous reviews. Camera quality (video) is reportedly improved though have to wait for Anandtech to update the review and upload new videos. I'll be getting mine in December wanna wait for some cases and then pull the trigger on the purchase

Benchmarking wise benchmarking doesn't have to do with anything. Jesus.....

I'm assuming all these reports of poor battery life include Google Now being enabled. I know its a key feature on JB(4.1/4.2) but I use it on CM10 now and its a HUGE battery drainer. When i turn it off, my battery life is markedly better. I'm assuming if you turn it off with the N4 you'll see better battery life.

Why you shouldn't wait for a better phone

Despite every single phone that has came out in the history of cellular phones, not once has a "perfect" phone been created. The logic that people use the majority of the time for holding off on the latest flagship is ALWAYS flawed.
What people need to realize is that its pointless to wait for the next big thing when it comes to cell phones. The features that cell phones have are a matter of designer preference, with input from the population. The problem is that just like anything else, there's going to be a majority, and a minority. The majority get their features, the minority doesn't. People tend to be so hard on these manufacturers for design choices, spec choices, etc., but what they don't understand, you can't please everyone, so why are you expecting them to?
If you are due for an upgrade, and this phone is somewhat appealing to you, just buy it. Spare yourself the months of bitxhing about your current phone while you wait for a new phone. Because I guarantee that when that phone comes out that you think is perfect, a better phone will come out 3-6 months later, and you'll be kicking yourself for jumping the gun.
At the current rate technology is evolving, there is no sense in "waiting around" for a better phone, because there's always going to be a better phone. Get it?
Those who are getting the Note 4, enjoy. You're going to own a powerhouse of a phone.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. There is no way to factually prove an opinion. You can only provide evidence to support your opinion. I tell my wife that I'm the perfect man. I even give her evidence but at the end of the day she points out that everyone is entitled to their opinions. It's just that mine happen to be wrong.

I'm rocking a Galaxy Nexus. Just a hunch that the Note 4 is a worthy improvement

I trialed using my galaxy nexus in the interim waiting on Note 4 to arrive (sold off my Note 3 early)....I lasted about 3 days before I decided I couldn't handle that old thing. Definitely time to upgrade.

Lol absolutely. This phone has the best hardware I've ever used. And no doubt the software will get better. And i hope that comes soon with custom recovery being cooked up. I am getting a significant amount of lag. It's bad. I've wiped once and disabled S-voice yet still it lags 10-20% of the time. Especially when using keyboard ( tested on multiple keyboards) There is no way I'm the only one experiencing this lol if anyone has any tips...Please share with me.

In my opinion, it's one of the older ones that still runs decently. Most likely due to all the support from Google.

True the tech is evolving so much, there is a 'better' phone every 2 months. But that doesn't mean note 4 will be classified as old anytime soon. And by the time it does, i am sure most of the people have already switched/thinking about switching their phone.
And I am gonna upgrade from galaxy ace..so a very big upgrade for me:. Maybe my tab will be left almost unused now

I am pretty business oriented nowadays, and I've always liked the old palm pilots. I'm getting this phone for it's display size and stylus..and, because my Gnex only holds a charge for 10-12 hours tops.

I pretty much agree. If it ain't the camera, it's the battery life, so on and so forth.
Folks have to live with compromise, no way around it. You can wait for the next best one that will upgrade something but you will still live with compromises.

yep i agree. the only reason that i am thinking of getting the note 4 (on pre-order as I have until tomorrow to decide) is because of the Samsung promotion. i might as well get value for my htc sensation (current trade in value is $11) and there will come a time when my note 2 becomes non-functional

I think we've reached a point now where the marginal improvement is going to be lower for each generation.
Moore's Law has ended. The cost per transistor for SOCs is lowest at 28nm. 20nm will mean higher costs per transistor. At the same time, the marginal performance gain per node will probably drop, while the capital costs for the next node are rising. EUV and 450mm wafers are problem plagued. This in turn, limits performance potential. That means only architectural improvements are possible. Perhaps they could make bigger dies, although this might cost more. That said, with margins for smartphones still high at the high end, large dies might be practical.
Cameras are probably at their limit now for reasons of physics. Only way to make them better is to make them bigger, which is what Nokia has done. It will never rival a DSLR though.
There's limited room for improvement in terms of performance too because of heat and battery life.
On that note, one area for potential improvement might be battery life. It will mean transitioning from lithium ion batteries though.
Speakers might be an area for improvement for Samsung (something like what HTC has done), but otherwise there's limited room for improvement.
Internal storage may benefit from 3D NAND, but it seems like SSDs progress is slowing, so it's inevitable that phone progress in this front will too. SD cards will also be affected.
We will probably see some improvement in terms of display technology. Amoled is now high end a pixel density that the Pentile is not a drawback, and perhaps the Blue subpixel will be given more life. Perhaps we will see better daylight visibility too and more efficient Amoled technology. This might improve battery life somewhat. Otherwise, we are near a very good display - high enough PPI not to be annoying, bright enough to be relatively visible in sunlight (according to Displaymate), well calibrated, and with lower power consumption then the previous generation.
64 bit processing might lead to more performance and take advantage of a lot of RAM. It'll be a while though before software takes advantage of it. Heck, most mobile software cannot yet take advantage of all 4 cores on a phone.
I could see some things like water proofing get added as well. But beyond that, what else is there on the horizon?

I agree to an extent. Perhaps in its day it was arguably the best phone that could have been realistically been built.
Amoled was pretty good for its day, especially in movie mode and the Pentile because it was partial RGB, was not a huge issue despite the low pixel density
Good camera, with only the Nokia camera phones coming out on top
Pretty good battery life Wolfson DAC, providing very high quality audio out
Pretty good speakers
Exynos SOC was the best for its day, although Apple did with its PowerVR series have a stronger GPU
Qualcomm radio was pretty good at holding a signal, as was quality of call.
Only flaw was that Samsung did not release full documentation. The Exynos problems have hampered AOSP development.
No other major flaws (ex: like the Galaxy S and the GPS problem).
For it's day, it was perhaps the best phone that could have been made.

You aren't running xposed and are rooted by any chance?
If so install Wanam Exposed and tick the box in the advanced section to fix S-Health, that fixed my lag issues

Just restored my iphone 5 to factory defaults and got it unlocked from AT&T. Now it's time to list it on eBay and wait impatiently for my note 4 to arrive tomorrow! The whole waiting for a better phone, that's why I did the Next 12 plan with AT&T, cause I just might want a new one in a year.

Poor Hardware, Software, or Combination?

I've only had my Nexus for a couple days now, but so far my experience has been less than impressive. I am within my 14 day return window with this and an iPhone 6 plus and attempting to decide between the two (I haven't owned an iPhone since the 4). Before this I had the Note 4 and before that the Nexus 5. Upgraded to the Note 4 but couldn't get past TouchWiz so I picked up the Nexus 6.
Some of the issues I've personally seen so far have been inconsistent signal, poor battery life (I'm rooted, no encryption, stock), and heavy rattling during vibrations. I've also gone through the boards extensively and noticed complaints about the back peeling off, significant memory leak (Android 5.0.1 issue), screen burn in, speaker issues, etc. It seems like there are an abnormal amount of hardware/software issues with this device...beyond what's expected from a new device. Some of the issues could be resolved with software updates such as battery life and inconsistent signal but it also sounds like there are more RMA's with this device than any in recent memory.
So I guess the question is, do you guys regret keeping your Nexus 6 in light of all the issues or are you happy with your device?

I'm happy and have had none of those issues.
Edit.. Tell a lie, sometimes speaker goes quiet - usually playing gt racing. Think its software.

I'm satisfied with the batterylife though. 6 hours + is my general SOT. And talking about signal, I'm 3G and always get good signal. The peeling off the back is the problem of the devices of second lot. First lot never had the issue. Screen burn-in is really a rare issue. Memory leak, yeah that's the more annoying bug. Specially if you're a gamer. You can see you're winning in a multiplayer match, baam the phone is off . And the vibration actually reminds me of the legendary 3310

I hope Google pushes 5.1 before my return period expires so I can see if that fixes some of the software issues. As sad as this is to say, as it stands I may return the Nexus and keep the iPhone 6 plus. Too much of my emails/business is done with my phone to risk software issues...especially an untrustworthy signal.

Unlikely it'll be pushed. Usually ends up in AOSP first and there's been no movement there.

Besides batterylife that could be a bit better the N6 is absolute awesomeness for me and there is nothing that dissapoints me so far. Wouldn`t want to have another phone atm tbh

I've owned each of the big 3 phablets: Note 4, iPhone 6 Plus, and Nexus 6. I'n my experience the Note 4 crushes the rest in terms of battery life. However, the iPhone sleeps like a baby.

Though from what I've seen from Note 4 users who have been spamming g our forums, I wouldn't say "crush"... In fact I've beaten any photographic evidence they've supplied. The only one I haven't beaten is their unsubstantiated claim of 9 hours screen time.

I'm just going by my personal experience. I've read reviews that show the Note 4 battery life being superior as well. All I can speak for is my personal experience, and there the Note was clearly superior. But again, there are a lot of factors that could change that such as when the Note gets upgraded to Lollipop it could have an adverse effect...it's hard to say really. I just know my usage was similar on both devices. The iPhone decreases faster when streaming or using video but due to the IPS display handles battery with the screen on fairly well and sleeps much better than your standard android device. Still, I've only had the Nexus for a couple days so I'm going to give it a week and see how things settle.
Btw, love having active display.

Ambient display is awesome. Plus the amoled screen will do a lot better on battery than IPS, though we still have more pixels to drive.

G4 To Note 5?

Those of you who have the device, Help!!!
I have the amazing LG G4 and it camera is the best i've used and seen, but something attracting me towards the Note 5 even though it has 32gb and no SD card...
How is it compared to G4? i mainly looking for better processing power and more custom roms in the future as well as awesome camera(which the note has), would u switch from G4?

Quick read: I went from the G4 to the Note 5 and am staying with the Note 5 no question. More detail below.
I made this switch. Before the G4 I had the Note 3 which had a extended battery and a 128GB microSD card in it. When rumors flew that the Note 5 had a sealed battery and no expansion I got the G4. The G4 has serious headphone out audio quality and volume issues so bought the Note5. I have the Note 5 since the 21st and here are my observations.
Screen: The G4 has a great LCD screen. I don't like the on screen buttons but got used to them. When I got the Note 5 I remembered how much I liked the amoled style display. Saturated colors, deep blacks. Read displaymate's review of the Note 5 screen. It's insane how good this screen is.
Speed: I never had any issues withe the G4. That being said the Note 5 is snappier. There are a ton of benchmarks of the Snapdragon 808 and the Exynos chip in the Note 5 (same SoC as the Galaxy S6). With this and the extra ram you will be getting a speed boost. On the Note 5.
Camera: There are a ton of G4 vs S6 comparisons out there. Most place the G4 as the slight winner with more accurate colors in low light. In good light both are close enough to not let good-light performance be a deciding factor. The G4 has an 8MP front shooter instead of 5MP on the Note 5. The Note 5 DOES have a faster responding camera and that makes a big difference to me in my camera experience. Both do manual mode and RAW capture. The G4 can do a 30 sec exposure vs 10 sec on the Note 5 which is a shame. In the end, look at the extensive comparisons out there.
Audio: On headphones the Note 5 kills it. The G4 isn't even close and this is what makes me the most happy about the switch. BT, which I don't use, seems to favor the Note 5 as well. Phone speakers are weak on both, but I don't know who in their right mind would listen to anything important on a smartphone speaker.
Battery life: The Note 5 is great and I have made peace with not being able to replace or expand it. The fast charging and 2 wireless charging standards being supported is really useful. If you haven't tried wireless charging then do so. All of my previous phones that I've kept for more than 1.5 years experienced a micro USB connector failure. Wireless charging removes that concern. The G4 does not support this out of the box and that is too bad. That curved back isn't going to make wireless charging any easier anyway. Look again at displaymate's review of the Note 5 screen. It is crazy efficient.
User experience. No real issues with the G4. Their customizations were fine by me. Touchwiz doesn't bother me either and if it does, that is what custom launchers are for. I do love the fingerprint reader on the Note 5. It is so seamless unlocking the phone with it. There are options for expanding the storage on the Note 5 either through the small USB OTG flash drives out there to wireless expansion (look up HooToo, their devices are well loved and I just got one)
Rooting and ROMS: The G4 is probably a safer bet here. There is already root for it, though no custom ROMS that I know of this early. Samsung is an unknown quantity here. There have been some mumbling that Samsung has software that will brick your Phone (especially on Verizon and ATT) if you try to root it, but until a method is found and someone tries it, it is too early to say. Samsung really wants their phones adopted by the Enterprise, hence the knox 2.0 and such. They are probably trying harder to make it harder for those like us to root.

I have noticed G4 camera can come a bit far ahead the S6 specially in low light, it kinda very important good feature to me, i've seen many photos of Note 5 and S6 in low light and they kinda ok, but not as good as G4.
About audio you totally right, it sucks on G4, no idea why.
Now can u test angry birds 2 on level 5 at least and tell me how it plays, does it lag, no? if possible, test other heavy games and tell me if there is a lag.
Also i heard Note 5 have memory management issues as S6, can you replicate that?

I am downloading Angry Birds 2 now, but it may take a while to get to Lv5.
I have not had memory management issues on the Note 5. I cannot replicate this and do a fair amount of multitasking. If there is a repeatable procedure to test this let me know and I am happy to try it.
No joke on that G4 camera. In low light it just does white balance better. You might be able to compensate this in post processing if using a Note 5 (especially if you capture in RAW). But if you just want to snap and send then your best bet is snapseed which is amazing in how powerful it is for pic manipulation.

yep i used snapseed, it can make very good picture to perfect, well almost
So u do have it for 5 days, and u not regretting moving to Note 5 from G4? have u got the 32gb? cause that the only version here.
It's quite a lot of money, and i won't exchange the phone for at least 2-3 years, would u say in a single heartbeat, no looking back, that moving from G4 to Note 5 is good step?

There is not even the slightest stutter on angry birds 2 level 5 on the Note 5, the phone is much faster and snappier than the G4, better screen, better sound, better battery life, S-pen (that can go backwards and get stuck Ayooo!) , no on screen buttons (huge for me) , camera's are comparable especially if they are all using the sony sensor, the samsung sensor was the one that lost to the G4 in low light.

Does the note 5 also have split samsung/sony sensors? or just sony?

Well, the key to that would be in the op it said custom roms, so far this phone is not even rooted... It may never be? So I guess I would weigh that heavily if I were you, hardware wise it is a completely sound upgrade and I would not be disappointed if I were a G4 owner and the G5 came out with Note5 specs, I would upgrade to it.
I personally would do the upgrade if I could do it in a manner that was not too expensive. Otherwise I would say they are both great phones, the N5 is certainly faster and has a much better spec sheet across the board, the cameras are roughly equal, but I feel that the much better processing power offered by the N5 will lead to better reaction time on pictures and better video.

Okay just finished Lv. 5. Man that game has changed since I played the original. No lag here.
No regrets whatsoever except that I wished I waited for the Note 5. Now I have to go through the trouble of unloading the G4.
Regarding the other question, I got the 64GB version. Again, no regrets here as the audio is dynamite and the camera is close enough to the G4 for me.
If you get the 32GB then of course you will spend some time now and then migrating photos and music. I am on an unlimited data plan still from Verizon so I will stream live content to my hearts content. Look at the small USB OTG memory sticks or the HooToo or similar devices. These can make your migrations quick and keep with some buffer space on the Note's internal storage.

My Note 5 has the Sony sensors so maybe that's why I have not been disappointed in the camera at all.

Might actually do that the note is attractive. There are no slowdown with touchwiz?

Benchmarks.....
My note 4 performs almost the same as my nexus 4. yet has higher benchmark!
UI was smoother on nexus 4!
I gave Samsung 3 chances every time i thought its not like that any longer, i will not ever buy Samsung again :S

Might buy it now!!! Oh idk is 32gb really enought? Is it not gonna lag?

I don't have benchmarks, but most of the thorough reviews for the Note 5 have benchmarked them against the G4. It beats the G4 in most of the benchmarks, sometimes by a lot, but that doesn't mean that the G4 lags that much compared to the Note5. The difference in UI responsiveness is there, but it is very small and it's not enough by itself that it should sway a person one way or another. Benchmarks just do not reflect what a user's UI experience will be.

It's not going to lag. If you're concerned about the 32GB do this test. Look at your storage usage on the G4. If it's well under 32GB then great. If it's close to or more than 32GB then ask yourself if you would be put off having to migrate things off and delete other things to get to under 32GB. That is how I determined the 64GB Note 5 would be enough for me.

Ok i gonna buy it hopefully not gonna regret.

Just moved from the G4 to the Note 5, no doubt its a better phone. The Note Feels like a complete phone, I felt like the G4 lacked polish it would lag and audio quality was pretty bad. However I would give the camera nod to the G4, especially in low light

Be aware, 15GB of the 32gb is used by os, i wouldn't get the 32GB!

I love the note5
I prefer the note5, but It just has been giving me bad wifi problems

My 32gb model is only using 7.30gb for system. This is on the Sprint model.

OnePlus 3T - Bad Experience?

This has been my first Android phone since probably the Nexus 5. I've been on iOS ever since then. iOS has been great. The phones were always fast and they always worked. Camera was also really good. My experiences were great. Although the phones were overpriced and they were from Apple which I hated tbh.
So I decided to switch over to Android.
First impressions with the OnePlus 3T were pretty good. The phone's screen was awesome and the battery was incredible! I was on 3.5.3 and I was really enjoying the phone. But then shortly after that, the problems started coming in.
First, the issues with T-Mobile started popping up. I was getting EXTREMELY slow network speeds. I mean they were 0.34 - 1.60mbps DLs and around 1.2 - 2.0mbps upload on a good day an excellent coverage. I was having trouble streaming Spotify. I couldn't really get around it until I upgraded to 3.5.4. Now the speeds are decent with around 10mbps DLs and 3mbps upload. Still much slower then what I had on my iPhone. But upgrading to this OS has decreased battery life significantly! I can barely get a day out of my phone now with moderate use. I've tried clearing cache, checking rogue apps but still it's just horrible.
Second, camera is pretty bad. It's a bit slow at times and low light performance is pretty bad. And this isn't like extreme low light. I'm talking about if I were in a dim room the pictures would come out grainy and dark. Not sure if this is software related or hardware.
Third, I feel as if OnePlus support is pretty bad. Is this just me? I've been looking at other posts throughout they're phone releases and it always seems as if they have problems one way or another.
I don't know. Where my expectations too high when switching to Android again? I mean I know this is a "budget" phone so I shouldn't be expecting too much but I really wanted the phone to work one way or another. What do you guys think? Will OnePlus eventually be able to fix the quirks in the software?

Here is another guy who just switched and kind of having similar issue. I guess the price is around 1/3 so i have reduced my expectations to 1/3 which in a way 1+3T is performing better than that.

I recently switched to iOS after years of android. I agree that overall iOS runs more smoothly but still like android for the customization and freedom. I think with android one needs to understand that the experience can be very different from device to device.

iOS is laggy as hell, at least on my iPhone 7 Plus.. Many skipped frames in animations.

That's odd. I haven't noticed it. It seemed smoother than my nexus 6p and S6 edge plus usage.

That is very true. It's like a trade off. Android is very free and customizable while iOS is very restrictive. Jailbreaking helps but not as much as Android.
I mean don't get me wrong, I like this phone. There's just trade offs I guess with it. Honestly, if I were to get the battery life of 3.5.3 and the LTE band modifications from 3.5.4, I would say this phone would be near perfect. At least for me, in my opinion.
Hopefully it happens with Android N.

Very odd. Never had any issues with my 6s. It ran smooth as hell. Cache did build up once and got laggy but I had it jailbroken and cleared it up. Ran perfect after that.

No, the whole system is laggy. Just google iPhone 7 Plus lag. 6s and 6p are both much smoother. S6 is just a lagfest.

I know that initially it wasn't optimized great (the iPhone 7 plus) but 10.2 seems to work fine for me. I definitely experience more lag and random heat up of the devices with the Nexus 6p and S6 edge plus both on Marshmallow. I sold them before Nougat so I can't speak for their performance with those updates.

I am a Android fan, so a bit biased. I have the 128gb 3T. The camera for me is always an afterthought, but the implementation is average-so.of your a big camera user get a s7 edge. The front camera works great imo. The 821 processor, device fluidity, screen quality, minimal software implementation, updates and in my case (network speed, T-Mobile-old sim card, 3.5.4) are awesome,
Bluetooth is great ( in would have preferred aptx HD like the G5 ( sound quality suffers)- but the strength is good.
The encryption is excellent, and fast (only hiccup is twrp loads slow-not a biggie though), fingerprint and pin are significantly faster than any of my other devices for less than $500.
I wish they had the V20 DAC, and a proper tempered glass protector, bit other than that this is the phone to beat for 2016- if you factor in price
Not sure why so many complaints. My battery life is great and the dash charger is friggin awesome. I thought it was gimmick, but man it charges fast.

That's true.
I have been thinking about getting a portable dac to use with any smartphone though. the highest impedance headphones I have are 250 ohms. they're not really portable but would be nice to try out.

I agree. For the price, this phone is really hard to beat! Like I said, I do like it, just wish I could use 3.5.3 with the LTE bands fix for T-Mobile that's in 3.5.4.
I've used multiple Android phones in the past. This has been one of the most fluid and smooth devices I have yet to use. At this point, I'm just giving it time. Hopefully the software (new OOS) does make the phone better.
Guess you can't complain when this phone is under $500.

Androis OS and android system so high, wiping cache, factory reset, trying H2O theres nothing to do.
I contacted with support RRR to ask for a replacement. And they told is for repairs.
Sincerely i dont want to give back my op3t and i dont want to see a recicled op3t, last time i did this with one plus one the motherboard was bad with a recycle one.
I cant use Adb sideload because of fails at 47% of serving.. Thats ridicolous.
People from telegram say about wiping with unbricktool maybe some partition is broken or whatever.

Androis OS and android system so high, wiping cache, factory reset, trying H2O theres nothing to do.
I contacted with support RRR to ask for a replacement. And they told is for repairs.
Sincerely i dont want to give back my op3t and i dont want to see a recicled op3t, last time i did this with one plus one the motherboard was bad with a recycle one.
I cant use Adb sideload because of fails at 47% of serving.. Thats ridicolous.
People from telegram say about wiping with unbricktool maybe some partition is broken or whatever.

Damn that sucks dude. Hopefully you get it fixed. Everyone's talked so highly of OnePlus before but just doesn't like a great company.
Hope you get it fixed man!

Looks like the Android N update has made my phone a lot more smooth and battery life seems to be a lot better than 3.5.4. Fingers crossed. Good thing I decided to wait it out.
