Hi guys,
Would help to unlock my Galaxy S6 - SM-G925A with rom lollipop.
he bought in the United States and when I insert my chip here in Brazil, asks unlock sim pin. I've done everything and I could not.
Help me please.
I think you will have to buy the unlock code on the internet, do not try to apply any random numbers so it doesn't lock forever...

Thank you!
If you bought your phone off contract you can just request the code from AT&T, that's what I did
Was your phone in contract when you purchased this code. Mine is in contract and would like to know if I will get the code from this seller?
Bump to an old thread.
Does anyone know where can I get unlock code for S6 edge that still is on contract?
I tried at&t website and got this
This device isn’t eligible to be unlocked now because all of the installment payments have not been paid.

AT&T
I bought my device online from USA and it was AT&T, so all I did was I contacted AT&T on the unlocking portal website and I only provided the IMEI and they emailed the unlock code for free.
Note: it took them almost 10 hours to send me the free un lock code
to get your IMEI on your android device dial *#06#

It was network unlocked, I was using it here in Brazil in TIM network...
Today, I rebboted the ohne and now it is network locked !
I have tryed AT&T site, provided my IMEI an then got this message:
"Looks like you haven't paid off your device yet. Follow these steps to pay off your installment plan. Then, wait 48 hours before you submit a new request."

Unlock what? The sim card? You purchased from an ebay seller??? Please clarify...
Try purchasing code from another unlocker. If code turns out same, this might mean Verizon has started altering unlock codes like they were doing with Droid 2 Globals before. If this is the case, the only way you can get it unlocked is thru Verizon. But for this you need to be a customer of theirs with an account that has been in good standing for 6 months. If you do not live in the States, this obviously poses a problem, see if the ebay seller can get the codes for you.

If you have a friend who is a VZW customer, see if you can have him add it to his account temporarily and then call the Global support number and request a SIM unlock code. You may not even have to ship it to him - just send him the numbers on the sticker under the battery so he can add it to his account.
As long as his account is in good standing, VZW will give you the unlock code for free and it worked fine for me.

Hi,
I bought a consumer cellular Moto G 2014 from Sears, but when i try the unlocking services on ebay they tell me they can't find the IMEID in their database? Does anyone know if these can be unlocked?
Thanks.
Weird because I got the same phone (sears deal) and bought an unlock code from eBay from a UK seller that advertised AT&T unlock etc.
They found my IMEI just fine and got my unlock code within an hour of purchase. I'm using the phone in Canada (Rogers) currently.

I used lineoutcomms. I too have an XT1064 from the Sears deal. Haven't tested the unlock code I received yet as I don't have a compatible SIM card from another carrier at the moment, but he was able to provide me with one based on my IMEI. Cost was $2.68.
Are you sure the CC phones are even locked? How can you tell? I use Consumer Cellular, but I bought my phone from best buy. I never even thought about their phones being locked.
I bought 2 xt1064s from sears a month apart. Was able to unlock the first one off of ebay with no problem. Finally wanted to unlock the second one just recently and every seller i try says imei cannot be found. What gives? The batches shouldn't be too far apart. Is my only option to sign up with consumer cellular, wait out their time frame, and then request a code?
My CC phone came from Sears and yes they are locked. My question is, why go thru an EBay seller to do it? Maybe I'm missing something, but I just went on the Motorola webpage got my unlock code and unlocked it.

If it was brought from a carrier (ATT, Tmobile etc) and you have completed the contract or paid ETF or paid phone in full, you can contact the carrier.
They will unlock for free.

No. If you are on stock ROM, code should work.
I had phone in the same state (running kitkat, rooted with towelroot). When I completd/terminated my contract, got the code from ATT and it worked.
You can only try the code few times. After that phone will lock to the operator and no code will work after that (even if right one).
So make sure the ebay seller is giving you the right code for your IMEI.
If its under contract, even 3rd party seller may not be able to unlock. Check with them before you buy.
ATT has given me the unlock code in years gone by, even when I didn't have the phone paid off. I explained that I need local SIM-as-you-go accounts when traveling for work. (true BTW)
I reached out to sprint for the unlock code to unlock my phone. The rep, via chat, told me that my phone is already unlocked to be used locally and internationally. I asked him to give the code anyway just in case, and he said "Unlocking code or MSL code is only for older devices that are not unlock capable."
I thought only Verizon's phones were sold unlocked. Has sprint started doing this as well on new phones?

No its uicc locked domestically if purchased through sprint until paid off, internationally yes its capable of using any sim on non domestic towers.
Once fully paid off etc you can ask for it to have a uicc unlock so it will accept a att sim etc.
I bought it brand new off eBay. Maybe that's why the agent said it is already unlocked?

Is it a SM-950U or U1 ?
U1 is unbranded version and pre-unlocked. The U is the carrier variant.
The U would have been locked unless purchased full retail and active on a account atleast 50 days per sprint policy.
Sprint technically dosnt have to unlock it if it dosnt meet their guidelines.

Did you try inserting another SIM card in your Note 8 and see if you can place a call?
If it works with a card other than Sprint, it should work even abroad.

I don't have one to try it. Otherwise, that would have been one of my first tries.
mine got unlocked automatically after ~50 days last fall
i didn't contact them or anything, one day it just ... happened
it was paid in full from Samsung since they had that sweet trade-in deal for Note7 owners

I had to wait 50 days, and it automatically unlocked. No lease, no payments.
Apparently the only way is to call them, If I buy this phone used would I have any chance of unlocking it in the future ?
Hi all,
Recently I bought a NOTE 9 SM-N960F/DS 128GB (FACTORY UNLOCKED) 6.4" Exynos. over ebay during Thanksgiving.
I never activated and I thought it is network unlocked as well but when I came to a different country and inserted a new sim it saying "Invalid sim car" and asking to enter a unlock code??
My seller not responding and also it crossed grace period to return.
Samsung support says I have to call Malaysia at least 10 minutes to unlock it which is not possible to for me to travel there.
ANY HELP IS GREATLY APPRECIATED.
File a claim through PayPal and get your money back.
I got my Note 9 direct from Samsung, there was a warning on the box (the actual seal) it states it was made for the European market and to use it internationally first a European operator SIM needs to be inserted and make a total of 5 minutes of calls before it will unlock for international service providers.
So it's not that they are region locked it, they are just trying to make them stay in the market they are intended or sold as second hand.

Network Unlocked but gives Invalid SIM outside USA
Hi everyone,
I recently purchased a Sprint Note 9 SM-N960U which was advertised as Network unlocked, but when I received the phone in Qatar and inserted my SIM it gave me "Invalid SIM". It often gives me " Insert UICC that came with the device". Can someone guide me to how can I unlock this phone? Also I need to know do I have to root the phone to Unlock it?
Thanks and regards,

It's not possible to root the N960U
Your best bet is to call Sprint and pray the phone is paid off and they will unlock it for you.
Looks like is sim lock and you need to unlock it. Try on Google note 9 unlock and use a reputable site see if it helps.
