Help Returning to Stock (Problem) - AT&T Samsung Galaxy S6

Recently I rooted my S6, felt like going back to stock and followed directions precisely to get back to stock. When all was said and done and the phone booted up, there was no data at all, no A-Z in the app drawer, and worst of all, I couldn't install the latest AT&T update. I convinced ATT warranty send me a new phone, but before I go on with the rooting process, can someone (who has successfully done it) give me precise directions so that I can return the phone to the condition it was when I just got it? Much appreciated!

[urgent] Unroot/Restore G1 back to factory, help needed!

I have 2 G1's and I think it's the best phone ever
But I have to sell 1, so I put it online and tonight a person will come and buy it.
Problem is: I need to unroot it, and restore to the original Firmware.
How can I do this?
Also, before I downloaded and applied a newer radio version. Do I need to revert to a certain radio version that came with the original G1?? Or does it not matter?
I never changed the SPL or something, only rooted (goldcard method)+enomther Rom.
Please tell me which files I need, I will be extremely grateful!
My proposed method is: download an original, unrooted G1 firmware, and apply that through the recovery menu. Also Format the memory card, do a complete wipe and factory restore and afterwards; reboot again.
will that be sufficient?
I cannot have the person returning the phone because it is crashing like a motherf-...
Those steps should work just fine.
The phone will probably still have root, but if the customer doesn't need it, they'll never notice.
Lol. Man. Through Recovery? That should work just fine?

There, man. I helped you get up, and I trust you can walk by yourself.
Oh, no you're not going to do this through recovery and no you won't have root anymore.
well mate i got a UK t-mobile G1 and this method work for me like every time....
1st download the original rc7 for uk model and rc29 for usa model..
then go there and manually update ur G1

It did not work as planned, obviously.
You need a goldcard even to unroot it, else it will not let you flash back the original.
But anyway, I flashed back enomthers' the official rom, without any add-on pack. Worked perfectly except for missing dutch onscreen keyboard word-completion/dictionary. But yeah, the person said he did not need that.
I told him I can flash the original back if he wanted to.
Anyway, sold it for 135 euro. Got it originally for 100 euros

[Q] can't install backup

Ok, so i flashed the latest bets of cognition to my captivate and everything is working great! i love the new rom, however, i have more of an embarrassing mistake than a complaint or problem with the software. I forgot to backup my contacts and my apps. The apps are really no big deal, just a little time installing them all again and setting them up to my liking and a bit of a lesson learned, on the other hand the few hundred phone numbers and email addresses are a bit tougher to get back.
Now, I used rom-manager (which is an amazing app!) to load cognition, and made a back up file before doing so, I had to use it once when i first tried to install the new rom and messed part of it up and went back to a completely stock phone. I downloaded rom-manager again, ran the back up file and viola was back to where i started. I tried again and bam everything was running beautifully. Now heres my problem, I tried to go back to the back up file once again so i could retrieve all of my contacts and use titanium on my apps but after its successfully (or so the phone tells me) loaded back on the phone will not go passed the at&t world phone loading screen. I was able to get to the 3 button recovery menu and put cognition back on with out a hitch.
So long story short, is there any way to get back to my backed up settings, am I doing something wrong? or am i doomed to pounding the pavement to get all my contacts back? Any and all help would be greatly appreciated!
I apologize in advance if this should be in the captivate development thread

[Q] Trying to switch out my captivate and have a few questions

I'm having a lot of issues with my phone running horribly and whenever I plug it into my computer it tells me that my internal storage needs to be scanned and fixed. So either my card needs to be formatted or it's going bad. I'm assuming this could also be the cause of my phone some time taking ~10 minutes to turn on. So I have a few questions:
1) can I completely format my card and still have stock experience for exchanging it? *I went ahead and did this because I'm impatient. seems to be working and I'll keep testing it and go from there*
2) I did root and flash custom roms on it before but the rom i'm running now is a flash of the original rom on my phone but rooted. Then I updated to JH7 and it got rid of the root. When I went into the store previously and had issues with it, the guy mentioned that I had a different IMEI from what they had registered. I'm not sure if this is due to the fact of flashing or if it's from having to get the first captivate exchanged for another one. Are there any steps I can take to ensure that everything is in correct order and there's no way to see that anything has been tampered with.
Any other advice on things that should be done before going to a ATT warranty store would be greatly appreciated.

1) yes
2) Flash back to 2.1 using ODIN and you should have everything stock including your IMEI. Not JH7 but JF6.
Hopefully you backed up your stick settings prior to flashing. Sine custom roms change your product code and imei. Flashing with ODIN will not fix the product code. I'd the imei is correct I highly doubt that the tech and the DSC knows about checking the product code but you never know. Search around XDA there has been plenty of posts surrounding this topic.

[Q] Stock T-Mobile Rom

Does ANYONE have Rotohammer's stock T-Mobile rom that they can dropbox to me or provide a working link to?
I've got a rooted Galaxy Tab 7 that the seller neglected to tell me was rooted. Did a standard factory reset back to Froyo on it, and while it doesn't appear to have harmed it, I am now very leery of trying to put a Gingerbread rom on it (specifically, Overcome, though I'm also looking at some of the others).
I don't know if it's necessary, but I would really like to flash the Tab back to unrooted stock--if that's even possible--so as to start from scratch and avoid possible disaster. Otherwise, I'll have to send this sweet little Tab back to the seller and see if I can hunt up another one.
Damn it.

[Q] Unroot, remove safestrap and return to stock

My physical keyboard is becoming unresponsive for certain keys, as I'm sure you can imagine this is a major hassle. Nonetheless, I'm going to request a replacement from Verizon and need to take my phone back to stock prior to doing so. I've searched all over and can't find an up to date guide to remove safestrap, flash a stock rom and return back to the OTA path. I have the following information, can someone please advise on the most comprehensive way to return to stock?
System Version:
5.6.890.XT862.Verizon.en.US
Android Version:
2.3.4
Current ROM:
Liberty V.3
Revocery:
Safestrap 1.7 (I think)
I appreciate your help.
Just Google Droid 3 SBF and follow the steps. But it may just be some gunk under the keyboard. I have the same problem but have yet to find a way to clean it out good.
Yes just SBF to stock is way easier:

My keyboard is also acting up. What are the steps to returning it to Verizon for replacement? Return to the store, or mail it somewhere? Any cost involved (besides maybe shipping it to them)?
And I do have Product Guard insurance (or whatever it's called). That affect anything? (I had to get my Droid 1 replaced when it got ruined in an accident, but it was $95 to replace it.)
Thanks for the prior link provided, there is a very simple link attached, but the download link is incorrect. This download link worked for me: http://bit.ly/D3UnBrick
Regarding the process with big red, I'm working on it now and will post back.
I am on my third Droid 3. The second one had keyboard issues. Some keys acted like 5 keypresses and other didnt work unless you pressed real hard. Process with Verizon was the usual. They want you to reset your phone to make sure it isnt a software issue. If that doesnt work, they will send a replacement at no cost and a return label.
This droid 3 and my wife's are both having keyboard issues now too so we will probably both be getting new (refurbished) phones again.
Hint: Reactivate your phone a day before you call verizon (*228 option 1 - this does no harm to your phone and you have no data loss). Then when you call, tell them you already tried a full reset. They see a new activation on your account and you can move past the BS for a true hardware issue.
I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but every time I run the "click here to flash..." while the phone is in ap fastoot, it just flashes the phone back to stock liberty, which is what was already installed. I did download and extract to the "files" folder. What am I doing wrong?
