aah ! here is the story.
so i was on some normal n7000 rom like some orignal ones which do come with these phones.
i installed CM nighliess 4.4 which dint really work.
so i replaced it with some Slimbeanversions. and it just sucked!
i was able to enter into cwm recovery before and then i messed up again and now i am unable to enter into cwm recovery
i thought i might just install philz recovery through odin as i was able to enter into download mode
i just did that. and now ..i can go to download mode screen but when i try to continue further with volume up button and restarts. and as its connected with charger/laptop the charging cell appears it restarts it appears again and restarts again.
anyhelp what i am suppose to do and what i have done?
please. Thank you .
regards.
Try to remove the battery for about 20 seconds. While the battery is not in press the power button couple of times. Also make sure there is sufficient charge in the battery. Put the battery back and try download mode. Flash philz kernel or stock ROM of your choice.

thatwould be so easier for me at this instance i suppose, as with this phone would just start working i reckon?
thank you for your help.

Then flash a stock ROM. You can download it from samfirmware.com.

but if i plug it out from usb or charger, it wont start(it wasnt befroe as well)
and i plug it in in usb or charger, the empty battery cell comes(which normally comes when you are charging phone when its turned off) and it goes back, comes back agian and goes back again and so on again again and again.
i can go to download mode but when its connected either with usb or with charger.

Try to use a charged battery or externally charge the battery.

Try asking in the right forum and Im sure youll be helped.
did you try if it would boot into Download / Recovery mode? Just some idea, but try fliiping out / in the battery, and then plugging the phone in. Does the battery charging stuff come up? Can you still not boot ? (not even to download mode?)
To be honest, it is quite strange, because if you have Download Mode working, it should not really go away ever.

my phone has been frozen at the samsung i9000 screen ever since opening this app.... i am very new to this do not understand most concepts here.. ie. flashing a rom. If anyone can help me get my phone out of this state or has any suggestions on how i should fix this please comment.
if you can get into recovery mode try flasing another rom via cwm or flash it using odin and download mode (flashing non wipe roms via cwm might leave your apps and data intact)
What is the full name of the app? How did you try using it? Do you know what firmware version your phone is on?
First thing to try is turn off, remove battery sim and any microSD. leave five minutes and put all back in and turn on.

the app is galaxy s tweaks or something very simalar (black and white logo) the two options i was given in the app were "YES-BREAAAAK my phone" and "NO- Im not crazy" i selected no and then my phone just reset and wouldnt turn on again ive tried everything i can do without hooking up to a comp ( as far as i know) but thx for the advice
Where did you get this from? It does not seem to be in the market.
OK just found it. Have a read off all the comments. Not good.
http://www.appbrain.com/app/gst-(galaxy-s-tweaker)/com.pommedeterresautee.lagfix
You could try restart holding Home Vol up and Power button then choose Clear cache and Factory reset.
or
Try restart the phone holding home Vol down and press power button to get into recovery mode. then plug in and open Kies go to tools and firmware recovery.

Is telling me i need recovery code, I have never received one.
Just read this so it may work for you.
disconnect the phone from USB, pull the battery, replace it, boot into recovery mode and reconnect the phone. Go back to Kies and tools firmware recovery.
In other words repeat what you have done :-s
Original post on Android Forums.
The message indicated that I would need a recovery code that could be obtained later by clicking Tools | Firmware Emergency Recovery Menu.
I was then instructed to disconnect the phone, pull the battery, boot into recovery mode and reconnect the phone which I did. The phone would not reconnect. At this point I called Samsung tech support and wasn't impressed when I was simply told to repeat the procedure. But to my surprise, the upgrade was successful the second time around. Go figure! Anyway, I was wondering if anyone else ran into the recovery code message.

Guys i tried to flash [4.0.4] CyanogenMod 9 experimental builds then i found out it is not stable yet so i decided to flash back to Malaysia ICS 4.0.3 thru Odin. After i flash the rom thru Odin , my phone keep restarting . After that i decided to unplug the battery and switch on again . I cannot start my phone after i unplug and plug in the battery again. I cannot go into download mode and recovery mode but i still can charge my phone with charger. Is my phone hard bricked? Can anyone save my phone from bricked ? Please give me some solution T.T
its impossible to hard brick the phone with software unless u flash some other phones boot loader on it , leave it on charging for an hour after that pull the battery out and try again , i remember having that prob try to get into recovery hold down both volume up, volume down, and power button and don't let go until recovery comes up after charging
Hard brick means u cant do anything. The fact that your phone is charging shows its not hard bricked. You cant do much though. Charge it and flip out and in your battery and try to go into download mode. If by chance u get into download mode, quickly roll back to an offial 4.0 or even 2.3.6 fr the time being.

does your phone opens with a black screen when you push the power button or with a half brick screen like a phone and a computer image on the screen?
I would suggest that you take the battery out, plug it in after a while (5-10 mins) and turn on the power while quickly holding the Vol up+Home keys into the download mode. Then flash your ICS 4.03 via Odin and see if it works
you need buy or make yourself an USB JIG , then you can put the phone in download mode and reflash the stock firmware, i recommend reflash the 2.3.6 rom and next update via kies ...
Ya . thanks guys, it is not a hard brick . Is my handset got problem. I solved the problem already
It is writtrn there already did you get a black screen
After the boot that means you have not selected the resurection version.

i had flashed cm10 onto my captivate and it worked fine for a while but then a couple of days later i woke up to my phone saying cant mount internal sd card error, but i got around that i flashed my captivate back to stock 2.2 and then i tried to flash some compatible kernels i but then my phone booted with a white screen and then kept turning on and off even when i plugged in the charger it did the same thing i cant even get into download mode or recovery mode because the phone wont stay on, oh and the phone starts to get hot whenever i plug in the charger is there anyway i can fix this?
Try to force download mode. Remove battery, connect your phone to your computer via usb cable and then press volume up and down keys together and then insert the bettery with those keys pressed. That should put the phone in download screen. If that is successful, flash stock rom uckk4 from the one click master collection thread. Flash corn kernel after that via odin.
If you see a white screen then it could be a display(LCD) problem. If your LCD screen is faulty then obviously the steps described above won't help you. If things have gone wrong due to incompatible kernel then you might be able to restore your phone to normalcy.

Hello,
I have a Samsung Note N7000, the phone is off and it hasn't been working for about 2 months, when I charge it the green battery comes up on display and charges to 100 percent but when I go to turn it on it does nothing, the screen goes black and then the battery with the circle in the middle pops waiting for the charging status to appear and then the green battery pops up.
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

Unplug from charging and try to boot into recovery (volume up+power+home button) and also see if you can get into download mode (volume down+power+home). and give details what did you do 2 months ago that it stopped powering up.

When I unplug from charger I can not do either of those things, all though when it is connected to the charger and I can boot it into download mode. I dont think I was doing anything to it at the time, I think the charge just dropped on it

have you tried with different battery? seems like battery isnt holding the charge when disconnected. Have you tried to connect to PC via USB and see if it stays on in download mode, also try to open odin to see if it detects it.

As you have not provided details, i am assuming that you downloaded the stock rom and followed the instructions from the link i gave you and odin gave message success?
Connect your phone to pc open pc odin and flash philz kernel (.tar file) in download mode and once it is finished try to boot into recovery.
