FAQ & LAVA Iris Phones Dedicated Boot animations
Frequently Asked Questions:
1) How to download and install Boot Animations and Logos ?
Ans:For every Boot animation and logo , I have provided google drive links which gives you access to
the different resolutions flashable files. Download as per your device resolution and flash using custom recoveries.
2) What if my phone's resolution not mentioned here ?
Ans:Just request here with your phone's resolution. I'll make for it and update the download link.
3) Is the file downloaded flashable or not ?
Ans:Yes all the files provided here are flashable only. If you want to manually move bootanimation.zip to
system then extract from the file.
4) How much time do you take to make a new custom boot animation or logo ?
Ans:No ETAs for that. I'll work in my free time.
5) Why we have to download particular chipset Boot Logo ?
Ans:Because the compression and format used by different chipsets (MTK,Qualcomm,Intel,Broadcomm,Tegra....) are different from each other so it simply doesn't work.
6) What to do if I end up with bootloop ?
Ans:Well I'm really not responsible for that but if you're asking me what to do ?? Check whether you have downloaded right resolution boot logo or animation for your phone and for boot logo , check whether the downloaded bootlogo is for your phone's chipset only.
7) Why there are not many Boot Animations and Logos ?
Ans:Well I'll add more in time as I work on more.
Dedicated Boot animations for LAVA Iris Phones:
1)If you use the Iris bootlogo provided in 2nd Post then you can use this boot animation which is modded Supernova (from 1st post) boot animation inspired by YU Yureka Boot animation.

The Boot Animation AppThis is an app designed to simplify the process of changing your boot animation by putting the whole process into an app form. Much like other apps that have similar functions, it changes the animation for you. HOWEVER, what sets this app apart is that it contains the boot animation inside the apk itself, so that no flashing of the animation is necessary. All that is needed is too install the app, open it up, and hit the change animation button. This app will work on android 2.0 and up.
This app was specifically designed for all of you that like to create animations so that you can distribute your animations via friendly installable apks instead of flashable zip files. So, I am distributing the source code in a couple forms, hoping that you people that make animations will find it useful in distribution.
Features:
- Install boot animation without any further downloading
- back up current animation
- delete current animation
- restore old animation (if you backed it up)
- option to reboot after changing animation
NOTE:
- This is not for Samsung devices that do not have custom ROMs
- You need to be rooted
Downloads:
- Source Code for use in Eclipse
- Source that can be compiled in apktool
My Animation:
I also created a boot animation of my own to go along with my CM9 Theme Aurora. The boot animation apk can be downloaded from google play. NOTE: It is for 320x480 resolution devices only so don't complain or rate badly when you use the animation and it doesn't look quite right.

If you plan on using this app for your boot animations, you are free to change the icon, the name, the image inside the app, but please leave the info in the "about dev" section alone since that will be a way for me to get feedback and error reporting and credit.
This looks promising

FAQ:
Q : how to change the splash image?
A :
1. download the .img file here. put it anywhere u like (i prefer to put it at the root of sdcard)
2. rename it to splash.img (no problem if u dont want to rename it, just to make the proccess easier)
3. download 'gscript lite' from market.
4. open it and press menu, choose 'add script'
5. set name as splash (again, just to make it easier)
6. and type this on the lower coloumn (script)
dd if=/mnt/sdcard/splash.img of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p14
7.save, then u will see new script called splash. press it. let it close automatically or just press close. the gscript lite will fc after that. no problem with that.
8. restart your phone and see the new splash
Q : how to change the bootanimation?
A : u can install rom toolbox lite and install it. or u can do it manually by replacing the stock bootanimation / downanimation on system. (u need a rooted device to do this)
Q : i got a bootloop?
A : no way, that is impossible
the next project is more colorful, with colored google gear

I downloaded a Z2 bootanimation (the one with sound) and I just wanted to make it look, well, "newer" with the "Powered by Android" logo

The modified images won't show up in the animation and even sometimes the bootanimation doesn't work at all! I'm attaching the bootanimation that just skips the files from the picture

This is a flashable .zip of the FAILED animation: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ter8j47127w6rh9/PoweredByAndroidFAILED.zip
These are the 2 .jpgs I'm using: http://www.mediafire.com/download/ludpeb7zpyfem5q/PoweredByAndroidImages.zip
The first is smaller at 540x960
What I'm missing here? Is Kit Kat that different from ICS or JB? How can I solve this mistery?
Request: Someone make it work plz

Use tools to create animation - it's easier.
You have bootanimation maker - Google it.
And, no, it's still same animation..
I build animation this way...
1. Create video sequence in Adobe Aftereffects
2. Convert video to png files
3. Use batch renamer to rename all files (1-1000, it's easier to work that way)
4. Decide what you need for loop
5 Separate loop and main anaimation in "1" i "0" folders
6. Start bootanimation factory or creator and build animation in zip format

If you are just replacing the files in the .zip make sure you store them with the storage option (i.e. no compression) otherwise it does not work.

I Suggest You To Create Google Logo With New Font That Google Used And Full Characters. Instant of just " G " Because That G Logo Won't Look Good In Black Background Maybe it look good if you change background with white
Suggestions:
Complete Google logo (1) with and (2) without color
(3) G logo without color
Complete Google logo (4) with color and small Android One logo at the bottom and (5) without color and with small Android One logo at the bottom
Thanks.

above gif file may look like it stutters, this is NOT actual animation frame rate.
WARNING
This boot animation WAS NOT made for Samsung devices as they use custom .qmg format. Please consider looking at other boot animations if you have a Samsung device
All credit goes to:
@Team Vanced for creating this amazing mod
vortextriangle (from official discord server) for creating Discord Server animated avatar, which i used for this boot animation
@Logan for creating Vanced logo
Installation guide:
First of all you need either root or custom recovery that has built in file manager
1. Download bootanimation.zip that's linked to this post
2. go to`/system/media/` and rename your current boot animation zip to `bootanimation.zip.bak`
3. copy this bootanimation.zip and place it under `/system/media/` folder
4. restart to see changes
No need to do these, I've updated thread and now all you need is to flash zip files through Custom Recovery or Magisk
Source code: https://github.com/X1nto/Vanced-Bootanimation
Latest releases: https://github.com/X1nto/Vanced-Bootanimation/releases
If something goes wrong, for example if you experience bootloop or you just want to restore old animation, follow this steps:
Code:
[Recovery]
Flash remover.zip
[Magisk]
just remove module via 'magisk manager for recovery (mm)' or from Magisk Manager
Vanced_Bootanimation-RECOVERY.zip is for custom Recovery
Vanced_Bootanimation-RECOVERY-REMOVAL.zip is to restore your old animation
Vanced_Bootanimation-MAGISK.zip is for Magisk
If you have any questions, ask them in this thread and wait for the answer. also feel free to suggest any idea to improve this boot animation. I hope someone even notices this thread
