Why 5.5. and not 5.6.xxx?
5.6.890 offers the same root-ablility.. just SBF back to 5.6.890.

I am trying to re-root my droid 4 on ics 4.0.4, in order to return to stock and install the jb update. I unrooted using superuser SU, and now when i try to reroot i get error: more then one device and emulator and error: device offline.
just flash xml recovery file with rsd lite, no root needed
it's the only true full complete stock

Looking for the gsm Dev edition 4.4 recovery. I boot loader unlocked and installed twrp to flash supersu, but now I want to go back to stock recovery for OTA ability and I'm not positive the recovery is any different from the other moto x versions.
Thanks!

I read your post, what is the issue? I have the same device and the stock firmwares are available for you. I am confused. You can get the proper images needed and flash through fastbooot. Your bootloader is unlocked so it's possible.

Then download the stock restore package, use Moto's Fastboot, and only flash the recovery image.
