stock and m, only. for the moment at least.
Ok so my noob question to go with this topic.. is there a way to use the LED notifications with the stock Tmo 28E? I'm guessing Google has to fully release LYZ28E(r5) or something so that every tmo user can use wifi calling in a nonstock ROM?
Won't light flow work with stock?

I tested the free version of this last night. Seems pretty good. I wish it'd blink rather than stay solid. If it does this - I'll be honest and say I didn't spend much time looking.
Guess I'll go flash 28E now and install light flow. The WiFi calling is a huge help in the big building I work in these days. Thanks!

Is there any way to access the service mode menu? I wanted to see which LTE band my phone is on but none of the codes work with my nexus 6.
I'm looking for this too. Anyone?
nope, there no way. you can install the lte discovery app if you want to know which band your n6 is connected to.
Are you sure there aren't any?

yup. if you want to see what band of lte you are using, use the LTE Discovery app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.simplyadvanced.ltediscovery&hl=en

doesnt work here. its probably related to you being on verizon, and me being on tmobile. on tmobile, the only code that works is *#*#4636#*#*, and thats to change your data service(can do lte only this way).

Sorry...
I apologize for bringing this thread back from the dead but I figured it was worth noting that the USSD code *#*#873283#*#* works on T-Mobile although I have no idea what it actually does. Tired it on my phone and it responded with "check-in succeeded". I googled it and it apparently has something to do with Sprint, even though I'm on T-Mobile??? Strange.....
Hello all,
I have a Nexus 6 (w/ Tmobile) and was curious: if I unlock the bootloader to flash 5.1 and then relock the bootloader, would that affect the warranty?
Also, if this question was already posted, please let me know. I looked and I haven't seen a question about it.
Thanks
Also: is there a way to move this thread to the q&a? Looks like i put it in the wrong place

Nope.
questions go into the q&a/help section, not the general section.
btw, i have a tmo n6 as well. i bought my n4 and n5 there as well. through the years, ive known people with issues who returned/exchanged devices there, it seems you arent allowed to, but most, not all, people ive known havent had issues exchanging devices when their bootloader is unlocked.

So assuming this update really happens we can say we're probably screwed. T-Mobile will probably push crap along with that update which I hope doesn't.

Marshmallow only 1 image will it work for project fi ?
T-Mobile will probably have a carrier build of 6 and I'm sure shortly there will be a fi build as well
It does have Wifi calling built in so it should work as is for both T-mobile and Fi.
For T-mobile just download the app.

Does this work like T-Mobile's WiFi calling? Or should I just wait for a T-Mobile specific build? I'm literally sitting here with fastboot ready and a USB cable haha
Not sure how T-Mobile WiFi calling is set up on the nexus. Just know it works on project fi with WiFi calling.

Hmm...... And the WiFi calling is part of fi isn't it? I wanna take a guess and say it's just supported for fi. They say T-Mobiles carrier specific build should be released this week, so I should just wait for now probably, tempting though!

I'm on Tmobile and I can confirm Wifi calling works just fine with the newly released M factory image
There's only one image since wifi calling is a part of the os now, no need for separate builds just for the feature

Nope. The T-Mobile OTA page shows that they are updating to MRA58K, which is the same unified build that everyone else is getting.
I'm just chiming in to also confirm, unified build for sure! I flashed it and it's working great! Thanks guys! You're awesome!

You wouldn't have to. You'd just flash the system.img and boot.img. You dont have to lose all your data when fastboot flashing, if you do it manually and not using the flash-all scripts.

Check ovrdrie rom, was reading yesterday and it seems they had found a fix. Dont know if he implemented on last update or not. But before that this issue was a no go for all custom touchwiz roms in general. Everything else u asked for is a check mark pretty much
Other then theme store u have countless costum themes for texodus or ovrdrie, which in my opinion are better that what store offers

Looking for actual theme store so I won't have to keep flashing things. Its much quicker. OvrDrive almost had it but turns out his rom wasn't quite t mobile based so wifi calling fails. Need wifi calling so back to nandroid to keep searching. Don't understand how all these N5 ports come out but can't seem to put it all together in one rom. WiFi calling and no theme store, theme store and no wifi calling
Hey all, has anyone on AT&T gotten the Pie update yet today (April 4th)? It was supposed to be out today, but I have yet to receive it.
I got tired of waiting. Unlocked bootloader, then flashed global Oreo which updated to pie. You could just flash pie right after now that they post the factory images on Razer developer portal. Only real difference I see is the cell signal shows lte+ and h instead of 4g lte and edge network labels. No dumb att splash logo boot up either. Do yourself a favor and bail from att's slow updates.

I just tested it again and it's working. Maybe you need to flash the firmware again? Or at least flash just the baseband? I'm even thinking about flashing the baseband from the ATT firmware. I'm getting random cell drops on global mr1. Signal is about the same but some areas where signal is weak, it just drops me.

So I decide to flash the mr1 firmware again to see if it would fix it but no. Still the other devices will connect to the hotspot but it says no internet service. Before I flashed it I did try my sim in my Nexus 6 and sure enough hotspot works fine on it. So it's not the sim.

Yes. I just flashed the firmware. No root or any of that locked both critical and non critical back when I was done. I'm thinking it's Google location services turned it all off. See how it goes.
